Prevent Water Backflow into Your Home Does your home have a backflow prevention device? Water is normally maintained at a significant pressure to enable water to flow in your household from the tap, shower, etc. However, if that changes, a backflow prevention device will protect your water system from contamination. You can also install a backflow prevention device for your sewer. In the event of a sewer backup, this device will allow water and other materials to escape from the cleanout rather than flow into your home. This simple device can prevent both damage to your home and the subsequent property cleanup. For more information, contact the Public Works Department at 660.627.1291.
