Spring Brush & Limb Pick-Up Attend the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Candidates’ Forum on Tuesday, March 19, 2019!
Meet Your City Council Candidates You will have a chance to meet your candidates for City Council at the annual Candidates’ Forum, hosted by the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019! This year's event will be held in room 151 of the Inter-Professional Education (IPE) building (more commonly known as the Dental School) on the campus of A.T. Still University. Candidates will be available to speak with the public at 5:30 pm, and the forum will begin at 6:00 pm. Then, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, citizens registered to vote will have the opportunity to select up to three individuals for the City Council. Candidates for City Council, in the order they will appear on the ballot: Jordan Weichelt, Kevin A. Alm, Zac Burden, Chuck Long, Steven W. Reiser, Donald E. Smith, Daniel F. Joyner, and Jessica Parks .
The City’s Spring Brush and Limb Pick-Up is scheduled for April 1 through 5, 2019! The Public Works Department’s Street Maintenance Division will begin picking up tree limbs and large brush on Monday, April 1, 2019. Although the work is expected to take the entire week, to guarantee pick-up, your brush must be placed curbside by 7:00 am, Monday, April 1, 2019. Daylight Savings Time is almost here! On Sunday, March 10, 2019, at 2:00 am, be sure to move your clock forward one hour to 3:00 am. When you do, be sure to also change the batteries in your smoke alarms!
