2023 vs 2024 By Month
The Greater Toronto Area real estate market displayed robust activity in 2024, with a 26.4% increase in total homes sold, reaching 7,953 properties. The average sale price saw a modest rise of 1.8%, now sitting at $1.16 million. Homes spent an average of 31 days on the market, a 21.5% increase, reflecting a more deliberate pace in transactions.
Among the communities, Richmond Hill and Vaughan stood out with substantial growth in sales, up 33.1% and 32.3%, respectively. Price trends varied, with Richmond Hill experiencing a 9.4% increase in average sale prices, while Markham faced a 5.8% decline. The City of Toronto remained a strong performer, with a 25.7% increase in sales and a 2.1% rise in average prices. These trends highlight a dynamic market, offering opportunities for both buyers and sellers across the region
