The Hilton Garden Inn is the premier location downtown Iowa City for banquets and special events. Our flexible full service event space can host up to 220 guests and features a modern design, high-quality audio visual services, professional catering and a sophisticated atmosphere.

Vue Rooftop Private Room On our top 12th floor with the best views overlooking downtown Iowa City! This intimate space is great for meetings or receptions. Can accommodate up to 40 guests. Space is reserved in 3-Hour Intervals.

Vue Rooftop Patio Exclusive access to our rooftop patio. Can accommoade up to 50 guests. Ideal for cocktail receptions and to breakaway from your meeting.

Vue Rooftop Main Dining Space On our top 12th floor with the best views overlooking downtown Iowa City! Exclusive access to our main dining room hosting up to 175 guests. Pair the Main Dining Space with the Patio and Private Room - the options are endless!

To ensure proper receipt of your packages, please address them in care of your Hotel representative and note your name, group name, and event date. The Hotel can provide limited assistance in placing pick-up orders for packages. We ask that you prepare packages to include company account information and that you schedule and authorize pick-up. Policies and Fees

AUDIO/VISUAL: Please consult your Catering Manager for all of your audio/visual needs.

MENU SELECTIONS: To provide our guests with the best possible event, The Hilton Garden Inn requests that your menu selections be finalized no later than two weeks prior to your event. Additional fees may apply for menu substitutions.

GUARANTEES: Your Catering Manager will contact you one month prior to your event to review your expected number of attendees. Hilton Garden Inn utilizes a 5 business day guarantee policy. After this time, full charges will be incurred for any reductions or cancellations. The client shall be charged the guarantee provided regardless if attendance falls below the guarantee.

PRICING: All A/V, menu, beverages, and room rental prices are subject to applicable service charges of 22% and taxes. Prices are subject to change due to market fluctuations. Final menu prices will be guaranteed 7 days prior to the event. Pricing includes food, linens, placeware, glassware, cutlery, tables, and chairs within our inventory and maintenance.

RECEIVING: Items provided by the client may be delivered to the hotel no more than 24 hours prior to the event.

REVISIONS: Any changes, revisions, additions, or deletions to the Banquet Event Order shall be in writing and signed by both parties no less than 15 business days prior to the event. Changes made after this time frame may incur an additional fee.

BEVERAGE SERVICES: Alcoholic beverages and services are regulated by the Iowa Liquor Commission Control. Kinseth Hospitality, as a licensee, is responsible for the administration of these regulations. No outside alcoholic beverages may be brought into the premises without prior approval. A corkage fee may apply. We reserve the right to refuse alcohol services to intoxicated persons and will not serve underage persons. No alcoholic beverages can be removed from the premises.

DECORATIONS: Hilton Garden Inn does not permit decorations to be attached to the walls, doors, or ceilings with nails, staples, tape, or any other substance. We reserve the right to limit the number of pre-approved signs permitted in the meeting and prefunction areas. Flames/candles must be contained in glass. Decorations, centerpieces, and other items may be dropped off at the hotel 24 hours prior to the event. All items must be removed from the venue immediately following the event unless other arrangements have been pre-approved with your Catering Manager. Any item not picked up within 72 hours following the event will become property of Hilton Garden Inn.

VENDORS: All vendors must comply with all local fire and safety codes as well as Hilton Garden Inn's policy regarding sound levels. Vendors are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages on hotel premisses during the event.

LOST & FOUND: The Hilton Garden Inn and Kinseth Hospitality are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items left on property prior to, during, or following an event.

SECURITY: If the Hilton Garden Inn deems security is required for an event, arrangements will be made via the Iowa City's Police Department and appropriate charges will be billed to the client.
