GENERAL NOTES: THIS E&S PLAN MINIMIZES THE EXTENT AND DURATION OF EARTH DISTURBANCE THROUGH THE OVERALL DESIGN APPROACH. A REPLACEMENT DESIGN WAS SELECTED THAT USED A SHORTENED CONSTRUCTION DURATION CONSISTING OF A SINGLE-YEAR WORK PLAN RATHER THEN THE NEED FOR A MULTI-YEAR DESIGN.

THIS E&S PLAN MAXIMIZES THE PROTECTION OF EXISTING DRAINAGE FEATURES AND VEGETATION THROUGH PERFORMING WORK IN AREAS PREVIOUSLY SUBJECT TO HIGH LEVELS OF COMPACTIONS (THE ROADWAY SUBGRADE AND EMBANKMENT AREAS). ADDITIONALLY, THE PROPOSED DRAINAGE FEATURES HAVE REPLICATED THE EXISTING PATTERNS OR CONNECTED FLOW TO EXISTING CHANNELS TO MAINTAIN REGIME.

FILTER BAG OR DISTRIBUTE AND SEED SEDIMENT. 11. CONCRETE WASHOUTS SHALL BE INSPECTED DAILY. ACCUMULATED MATERIALS SHALL BE REMOVED WHEN THEY REACH 75% OF CAPACITY. DAMAGED OR LEAKING WASHOUTS SHOULD BE DEACTIVATED AND REPAIRED OR REPLACED. PLASTIC LINERS SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH EACH CLEANING.

THIS E&S PLAN MINIMIZES SOIL COMPACTION THROUGH PERFORMING WORK IN AREAS PREVIOUSLY SUBJECT TO HIGH LEVELS OF COMPACTION (THE ROADWAY SUBGRADE AND EMBANKMENT AREAS). THIS E&S PLAN UTILIZES OTHER MEASURES OR CONTROLS THAT PREVENT OR MINIMIZE GENERATION OF INCREASED STORMWATER RUNOFF THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RAIN GARDEN FACILITIES AND AMENDED SOILS WITHIN PREVIOUSLY COMPACTED AREAS.

SEE LIMITATIONS ABOVE

1. MINIMIZE ANY UNPROTECTED SOIL DURING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND PROVIDE ADEQUATE EROSION CONTROL MEASURES; ENSURE DISTURBED AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO DUST CONTROL MEASURES. 2. IF SITE IS TO BE USED FOR CONSTRUCTION, DEWATER EXCAVATIONS THROUGH PUMPED WATER FILTER BAGS AS NECESSARY. AVOID PONDING DURING CONSTRUCTION; CLOSE ALL EXCAVATIONS AS SOON AS PRACTICAL; ENSURE ALL INSTALLATIONS ARE WATERTIGHT. 3. FROST ACTION: SUBSURFACE DRAINAGE IS PROVIDED BENEATH PAVEMENT TO PREVENT WATER RETENTION. 4. SINKHOLE OR CLOSED DEPRESSION: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT A GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER TO ANALYZE THE SINKHOLE 5. SLIGHT EROSION HAZARD: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW THE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION AND PLANS. THE EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSPECTED AFTER EVERY RUNOFF EVENT AND ON A WEEKLY BASIS. IMMEDIATELY AFTER EVERY RUNOFF EVENT THE EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION FACILITIES AND MEASURES WILL BE CLEANED, REPAIRED, AND REPLACED AS NEED. WASHED-OUT AREAS WILL BE RE-GRADED AND RE-SEEDED. FILTER SOCKS WILL BE INSPECTED AND RESTORED TO AN UPRIGHT AND EFFECTIVE POSITION AFTER EVERY RUNOFF EVENT OR WHEN THEY ARE OBSERVED TO BE IN NEED OF MAINTENANCE. 6.
