Sectarian targeting: Types of discrimination against “Christian minorities” in some states in the region The phenomenon of targeting Christian minorities in some countries in the region has escalated, after it appeared in several dimensions including the wide geographical spread; as the phenomenon is no longer confined to a particular country, but it has spread to several countries, specifically Libya, Sudan, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran, and Pakistan.
