We are excited to offer RED OAV EDDY 7M as our only Red Angus lot in the sale, as a team we took this calf to Farmfair International in Edmonton and thought he represented our red genetics to a high standard. We chose to have him in our show string this fall for his impressive pedigree and sound build. With a moderate birthweight and stout structure, he has potential to fit in as a heifer or herd bull on any operation. Eddy is one of our most docile bulls and shows great potential in his future as a breeding bull.

Here’s a caving ease bull that will add performance to your herd! 8M is in the top 2% for calving ease and top 3% for birth weight. He’s a big bodied, easy fleshing kind of bull. Comes from a reputable sire, SAV Early Arrival.

12M is moderately framed with potential to become a reliable heifer bull. He’s a good choice if your looking for smooth calving while maintaining strong performance. This bull will give you growth on your calves and give you calves that strive from the time they are dropped.

OAV TITLE CLASS 16M

OAV Title Class 16M is out of OAV Classy 4Z. He is an embryo transfer yearling bull. This guy is a solid black bull, smoothshouldered, with muscling. He offers a higher birth weight of 102 pounds. He is the man if you’re looking for a new herd sire.

OAV UNIVERSAL 19M

Overall correctness of his feet and legs. This bull has so much potential to be an incredible herd sire. His longevity on the bottom side and high growth numbers really show what this bull can do for his future herd.

Best Statement is a bull that our unit is proud to raise with a larger frame and thick body that has consistently been one of our easiest bulls to put pounds on in the pen. This Best answer calf has come out of a younger cow on the farm that should leave future units excited to keep raising calves off of. 24M should be an easier calving bull on some nice mature cows that will still add pounds onto his calves by the fall.

This bull is one of our top picks and was a top contender in our show bullpen. 25M has excellent length to him and has a great spring of rib. This goes down to the depth giving him tons of capacity and making him an excellent bull to add to your herd.

GREAT APPRECIATION To these partners for all there hard work

The students and staff at Lakeland College have been a great group to work with on their nutrition program, year after year. The purebred beef team is always a keen group of students with a wealth of knowledge. Each year, Lakeland College develops a consistent and quality group of Angus bulls. I hope you get the opportunity to see them in person.

The cowherd utilizes a year round chelated mineral program that is balanced to the cow’s requirements and feed sources. This supports proper bull calf health and development from a young age. The bull development program is built to maximize forage utilization and gut health. All forages are sampled and analyzed to ensure quality feed sources are used. Once the calves are weaned, they are slowly transitioned to a TMR. The TMR is forage based and is designed to promote lean muscle growth, allowing the bulls to express their genetic potential. Rumen health is of

upmost importance, which is why suitable protein sources and proper starch levels are fed to the bulls. A probiotic is fed to optimize rumen efficiency. Chromium is now utilized in the bull ration. Chromium is an essential micromineral that most feeds are deficient in, and it aids in glucose absorption and increases protein accretion. This allows bulls to better withstand effects of heat and cold stress. The bulls remain on a TMR that stays at the same energy level all winter, allowing the bulls to grow consistently and safely.

Lakeland College uses a total nutrition program on their entire operation, ensuring optimal performance and health of their cattle. If you have any questions about the nutrition of the sale bulls, please feel free to call.

Best of luck sale day!

THE ROUND UP EQUINE

The Equine Student Managed Farm, powered by New Holland Agriculture is proud to have 2 AQHA geldings, 2 AQHA mares, and 1 AQHA broodmare for the 2025 Round Up Sale! The colt starting team has been working hard training with these colts and getting them ready for the sale since September of 2024. All the colts have been exposed to obstacles and ropes since day one ensuring they will be versatile and confident in their new homes. The colt starting team has been working with these horses to get them comfortable working cows and roping the heel-o-matic. They have also been working through pen roping live cattle. Each individual colt starter has done their best to describe each colt to the best of their ability, as each colt is different. We wish to see our horses succeed in their new homes. Our vision is to produce, select and train quality Quarter Horses with excellent dispositions and conformation, in an economically sustainable format. Our team has decided to add a broodmare in our Round Up sale this year! Last year’s team had purchased a new broodmare to help diversify the genetics in our broodmare herd. In order to offset this cost we chose to sell one of our other broodmares. She is 8 years old has thrown babies with consistent color! We are excited to showcase our team’s hard work that has been put into the horses to get them ready for the 2025 Lakeland College Round Up Sale and look forward to making new connections with all the great people in the Equine and Beef industry.
