ESG and access to credit (sustainable finance) to fund infrastructures & Local sustainability projects

Sub-topics:

• Sustainability at the UEFA EURO 2024 in Hamburg

• The issuance of social bonds by the state-owned bank

• ESG driven strategy to run and finance companies

• Due-diligence process and how to get towards meaningful sustainability statements

• Local sustainability public transport project

• CSPF politicians’ attendance and dialogue commemorating the 10th Anniversary on the 19th June.

Affordable Housing

Sub-topics:

• European housing policies (ownership, rental, etc.)

• Legal and financial means to access social housing and rental market

• Tomorrow’s building and PropTech systems/solutions for sustainable cities

• Global financial markets/funds and cities

• Sustainable use of land in growing cities (how to secure public plots)

Transversal component: These themes and related issues will be also addressed taking into account how they are dealt with and/or recorded in the respective accounting systems / financial reporting / IPSAS/EPSAS.

• Creating cultural-sensitive AI tools

• The new EU legal framework (EU AI Act) for safe, transparent, traceable, environmentally friendly AI systems

• How local governments can help future-proof city economies

• Using AI in budgeting, public management and accounting processes (OCR Scan technologies)

• Enhancing citizen participation (e.g. participatory budgeting) via digital platforms

• What are the current democratic trends? What changes have the cities perceived in the last years?

• How to deal with political changes/party politics from a finance perspective? What dangers lie ahead?

• Corruption & access to information (Open Budget)

• Responsible, effective, accountable and transparent (local) institutions

• How to ban hacker attacks and other forms of bank robbery
