Where is the Sunshine? I love, love, LOVE sunshine! It seemed like we were never going to see the sunshine this year with our rainy spring. With the changing of seasons, I am reminded of God’s creative genius. I’m also reminded of the attributes of God. He’s an amazing Creator; He’s purposeful with a well-crafted plan; He’s perfect—right down to the last little detail of creation and purpose; and He did it all for you and for me! It is impossible for us to understand the love of God. We can only get glimpses of it. Spring gives me a great glimpse of God’s love, as we see the beauty of life brought back to what was once dead. As the trees begin to bud, the grass turns from brown to green, and little flowers begin to pop up! We see that God gives new life; He gives life to what was once dead. We were born in sin/death (spiritual death), but God desires to give us life. John 3:5-7 tells us this: “Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.” When this process takes place in our lives, it’s like the “spring time” of life. Real life begins—life afresh and new! Have you been born again? It could be the missing piece of the puzzle in your life—the thing that seems to be missing but you just can’t put your finger on it. If you would like to know more about this new life, you can always find someone at Outreach that can help give meaning to the term “born again” and what God intended for us to have—real living! We are here for you and your family. We pray you continue to enjoy your summer break and encourage you to MAKE MEMORIES with your family this summer! Blessings! Kathy Taylor (Administrator)
