The University has announced to demolish the British Modernist masterpiece: Carnatic Halls in 2018 for new upcoming social housing. As my final year project at the University of Liverpool, I along my colleagues were working on various proposals for development alongside the Liverpool City Council. The article is a self-made extension to my proposal that holds conceptual writing on rethinking preservation (of the Carnatic House) as a unique solution to maintain equilibrium between architecture and real-world concerns projected by the council members. I also reimagine new functions and appearance for Carnatic House to maintain standards of the contemporary living and ways to reincarnate the place into the socially active quarter through this writing.
