EversincethebirthofthechurchinActs2,ithasremainedanecessityforeverybeliever.TheChurchisplace wherewecanmergeourindividualprivateworshipstogetherinpublicworship.TheChurchisaplacewhere wecanseetheexamplesoftestimoniesinthelivesofothers.TheChurchisaplacewherewecangrowand developincommunity.TheChurchisaplacewherewearehelpedtomakesenseoftheworldwelivein.The ChurchisaplacewearechallengedtoseeGod,evenamongaplethoraofproblems.Thereisbeautyinthe ChurchofGod.DuringthisThanksgivingseason,IpraythatyoutakeamomenttothankGodforyourchurch andyourchurchfamily.
Moreover,itismyprayerthatweonceagainwemakecomingtogetherasthechurchapriority.Weallneedto hearaWordfromtheLord,somakeitaprioritytobeatchurchconsistently.Itcannotbeanoption,itisnot“if Ifeellikeit”choice,anditisnotmeanttobeneglected.InourMethodisttradition,werememberthatworship isapartofthemeansofgrace,oneofthewayswedrawnearertoGod.Moreimportantlytheworldneedsthe churchtobethechurch,andwecannotbethechurchwithoutyou.
Thispastorisemploringallmemberstomakeitbacktoin-personworship,ifwearephysicallyabletodoso. ThankGodthatwehaveachurchwecangoto,toknowtheloveofGod,tofeeltheembraceofthepeople,and toheartheWordoftheLord.
