A Love That Binds
Colossians 3:14 NIV: “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
When thinking of binding things together, one can assume that tangles and knots can cause someone or something a challenging time trying to escape that bondage. We usually associate bondage with sin, and while we pray that our brothers and sisters in Christ are free from the heaviness of sadness, depression, anger, fear, and anything else that weighs you down. It is important to note that there is such a thing as good bondage. That good bondage would be anything woven together in love and unity. This month, we have an array of things that will be bound together in love. Our Pastor, Rev. Austin J. Young, and future First Lady Aysha Peterson will bind themselves in love in holy matrimony. While we celebrate their union and love for each other, we can also celebrate our union and Jesus Christ’s love for the church. Jesus’ love is unmatched; however, we praise God that we are able to reap the benefits of his love His love covers, protects, corrects, and guides us in everything that we do Let us strive to show the love of Jesus to everyone we encounter We pray God’s blessing over Pastor, First Lady and their marriage We pray God’s blessing over John Wesley and everyone attached to us Love is in the air! Let love not remain just in the air, but also in our hearts, our speaking and in our actions Let love bind us together in perfect unity as we continue to serve our perfect God!
