THE DESIGNER GENES 2016 SALE GROUP WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO OUR INAUGURAL DGS EVENT
Dear Hereford Enthusiast, It is with great excitement that we present to you our 2016 Designer Genes Select Hereford Female Sale catalogue. Over the last 12 months, we have travelled the length and breadth of the UK selecting Polled and Horned females from the country’s best Hereford programs. We think it’s safe to say that the resulting line up is truly spectacular. On offer are interbreed champions, record breaking bloodlines, breed changing pedigrees as well as performance and phenotype to die for! Opportunities include in-calf cows, in-calf heifers and maiden heifers. Many of these females will be the first of their breeding to ever be offered for sale! We have selected these females on the strength of their phenotypes, pedigrees and performance data; and we think you’ll agree they all have a certain flare about them! Also on offer at DGS 2016 will be two really exciting embryo lots from two of the world’s most renowned Hereford programs. Moeskaer Herefords (Denmark) and Harvie Ranching (Canada) are both offering the right to flush any cow in their herd. Both these programs have built their herds with functional cattle and have created some of the strongest cow families in the Hereford world. Check out pages 20 and 21 to see some of the females available for flushing. With BCMS figures showing it is the fastest growing breed in the UK, we believe the Hereford breed is the breed of the future, and this event allows current and potential breeders from around the world to invest in this functional, efficient and profitable breed. We look forward to seeing you on December 10th and if you have any questions about the sale don’t hesitate to contact a member of our sale team.
Sincerely, The DGS Sale Team Josh Dowbiggin Sale Manager 07447 412123 ghyllbeckherefords@hotmail.co.uk
