CINDY BUSBY BACK TO HEARTLAND

From her unforgettable years as Ashley Stanton on Heartland to her moving work on When Hope Calls , Cindy Busby has become one of television’s most quietly powerful forces—an actress whose characters resonate because they grow, falter, and triumph in ways that feel undeniably human. Returning to Heartland after more than a decade, Cindy reflects on the emotional homecoming that reignited her connection to the role that shaped her early career. But as she shares in this candid conversation, stepping back into Ashley ’s boots wasn’t just nostalgic—it was a decision rooted in gratitude, courage, and a desire to honor the fans who have walked beside her all these years.

In this exclusive interview, Cindy opens up about the evolution of her craft, from navigating complex roles to maintaining authenticity in an industry that’s always shifting. She talks fashion with refreshing honesty, reveals the characters who have shaped her, and reflects on the self-confidence that has redefined her personal style. With future ambitions that include producing and directing, Cindy stands at an inspiring crossroads—one where heart, creativity, and reinvention continue to guide her forward.

Cindy, you’ve played Ashley Stanton on Heartland for so many years— what has kept you inspired by the character all this time?

Ashley Stanton ’s character journey is a deep well filled with so much more than meets the eye. Getting to unravel that inspires me as an actor. I love getting to bring characters to life, while they grow and learn, just as I do in my own life. It’s been an absolute honor to get to play her on screen.

Returning to Heartland for Season 18 after more than a decade must have been emotional. How did it feel stepping back onto the ranch?

It was very emotional and quite surreal. It felt like a homecoming. When I got the call about going back to Heartland for season 18, I was excited and a little bit scared. I wasn’t sure if I could still do Ashley ’s story justice after all this time. Heartland and Ashley ’s story means so much to me, so it was something I really had to think about. Ultimately, my decision to go back was based on giving the fans what they’ve wanted for so long and getting to reconnect with the cast and crew of the show.

How does stepping into your role as Nora Anderson in When Hope Calls compare to playing Ashley on Heartland?

into their characters. Which traits of Ashley or Nora do you see in yourself?

Both, Ashley and Nora , are strong willed woman with vulnerability, who blaze their own trail, and I certainly see those traits within myself.

How do you decide which roles resonate with you and are worth pursuing?

I’m attracted to many different characters and stories. I love to pursue projects that are heart centred and have a through line that people can relate to and be inspired by. That can look very different from project to project. I also look for genres I haven’t gotten to explore as much and can be challenged by.

“Returning

to Heartland

felt like a homecoming: emotional, surreal, and deeply meaningful.”

These characters have allowed me to explore different parts of myself and expand my acting muscles. It’s really rewarding getting to explore the many facets of a character on a series over many episodes. Although these characters are very different, they both have a very special place in my life and in my heart.

Both series have loyal fanbases worldwide. How do you balance connecting with longtime fans while evolving as an actress?

I feel extremely lucky to have a fanbase that follows me everywhere I go. They’ve been very supportive of me throughout the years, and as I evolve as an actress, so does my audience. I love that we can do that together. Many actors say they bring parts of themselves

Working in Canadian television that’s syndicated internationally, have you noticed differences in fan reactions between countries?

Whether you’re a fan from the USA , Canada or Brazil , it’s safe to say that the passion is quite similar. I love knowing that people from all over the world can fall in love with the characters that I help bring to life. Relatability in stories is important to me because it unites us.

What has been your most challenging role to date, and why?

My role of Jillian in V.C. Andrews “Web of Dreams” on Lifetime was probably my most demanding. Jillian is a very flawed character during a time when getting power as a woman was very difficult. She did what she thought she needed to do to get what she wanted, which to a viewer would seem quite villainous. As an actor, I had to find compassion for her and take the time to understand where she was coming from. It was a challenge that I loved to explore.

Do you have a dream role that you haven’t had the chance to play yet?

I would love to do a full blown comedy, like “Bridesmaids” . I love making people laugh! After so many years in the industry, what advice would you give to aspiring actors trying to break into television today?

Take an acting class, read scripts or plays, and meet people in the industry. Join a theatre

production, do a student film, or go to a script reading. You have to immerse yourself in the world. It’s important to exercise your acting muscles as much as you can, like you would at the gym, and challenge yourself. Do your research. It won’t fall into your lap. If you want it, go out and get it.

How has your personal style evolved alongside your career?

My comfortability and confidence within myself has evolved throughout my career and I feel like that’s had an impact on my style more than anything. Earlier in my career, I dressed more for other people to impress them, and now I do what feels right for me without looking for approval.

When preparing for red carpets or press appearances, do you have a go-to designer or aesthetic you gravitate toward?

When it comes to red carpets or appearances I like to try new styles and looks, while always staying true to myself. I typically gravitate towards fun and flirty with a twist of sophistication. I prefer choosing what looks best on me rather than sticking with one designer. Comfort is very important to me too.

Do your characters’ wardrobes ever influence your real-life fashion choices?

Sometimes. I love when a costume designer surprises me at a fitting for a project with a piece of clothing I wouldn’t normally try on. I’m a lot more adventurous in fashion while on set, than I am in my real-life.

What are your favorite fashion staples for travel or long shooting days?

When I’m shooting, I choose comfort over fashion, so I usually show up to my trailer in jogging pants, a t-shirt/sweater and runners, and when I travel I choose sophisticated comfort, so a pair of jeans, cute top and comfy heeled booties. My go to fashionable staple accessory is a timeless and versatile handbag.

Are there any fashion trends you’re loving this season?

I’m really loving high rise wide legged pants

with a cute heel or ankle bootie. It’s the perfect combination of chic and comfortable.

How do you balance your busy filming schedule with personal life and self-care?

It’s certainly a balancing act and it’s not always perfect, but creating boundaries has helped a lot. I prioritize rest, connection, and health. I started traveling with my rescue dog Suzie a couple of years ago and she helps to keep me grounded and present amidst a hectic schedule. On my days off, I make time for family and close friends, meditation, walks outside and reading. Ultimately you have to make the choice to do what you need to do to be the best version of yourself.

Who in the fashion or entertainment world do you look to for inspiration?

I’m actually more inspired by people I see in real life, whether it’s someone out for dinner or walking down the street, I love seeing people be themselves and that’s inspiring.

If you weren’t an actress, what career path would you have pursued?

I truly never considered anything else, however I love being of service to people and animals, so likely something that would incorporate both or a professional organizer.

What’s one piece of advice you’ve received in your career that has stayed with you?

Don’t compare yourself. Everyone has their own journey at different times and everyone has something different to bring to the table. Things eb and flow and come and go, so enjoy the journey, be grateful and keep learning. Your time will come!

Looking ahead, what exciting projects or goals are you most looking forward to in the next few years?

Professionally, I look forward to producing more projects. I also have aspirations to direct as well. Getting to dive deeper into the behind the scenes of making projects, while also being in front of the camera, is something I’m passionate about and look forward to doing more of.

“As I evolve as an actress, so does my audience. I love that we can do that together.”

SYDNEY BOSWORTH FROM CENTERFOLD TO COURTROOM

From the glossy pages of Playboy to the commanding presence of a courtroom, Sydney Bosworth ’s story is one of extraordinary reinvention. Once celebrated as a model and cover girl, Sydney now stands as the founder of Bosworth Law Firm — a testament to discipline, resilience, and the refusal to be defined by a single narrative. Her journey is a striking blend of glamour and grit, proving that a woman can be both sensual and strategic, bold and deeply compassionate. For Sydney , power isn’t found in titles or perception — it’s in perseverance, in the quiet work done when no one’s watching.

In this exclusive QP interview, Sydney opens up about transforming personal setbacks into professional strength, shattering stereotypes in maledominated spaces, and leading her firm with both empathy and unyielding precision. She shares how her time in fashion shaped her approach to advocacy, how motherhood refined her leadership, and why reinvention starts with self-love. Through every chapter, Sydney embodies the truth that femininity and power are not opposites — they are, in fact, inseparable.

Sydney, you’ve gone from gracing the pages of Playboy to leading your own law firm. How do you define the power in both of these worlds? When I was in Playboy back in 2011, I was already an old soul. I have never really felt like I belonged in just one box. Even now, as a law firm owner and lawyer, I still do not feel like I fit the mold of what a typical attorney is supposed to be. For me, power has never been about what other people think of me, titles, or accolades. Power is discipline. Power is commitment. Power is the quiet, relentless work you do when no one is watching. When I wanted to be in Playboy , I was running five miles a day and training like an athlete. People told me I was too short. I did it anyway. When I decided to become a lawyer, people told me I would never finish law school. I became an attorney, and then I went even further and built my own law firm in two different cities. I am a warrior. I have been doubted, underestimated, and counted out, and I still rose. I have always loved the underdog story. Maybe that is because I am one. I believe my true purpose and my real power is showing women that they can reinvent themselves as many times as they want. You can be a model. You can be an entrepreneur. You can be a lawyer. You can be all three. With hard work, consistency, and belief in yourself, anything is possible.

become a lawyer. So when I realized how easily people can be exploited by legal language they do not fully understand, I kept my promise. Here I am.

Did your time in the fashion and entertainment industry give you a unique perspective when negotiating in the courtroom?

My time in the entertainment industry exposed me to all kinds of people and taught me how to truly relate to them. One of the biggest weaknesses I see in many professionals today is the inability to connect with people from different walks of life. That is one of my greatest strengths. It also made me very intentional about my image and how I present myself, especially on social media. A lot of people have told me to stop being “sexy,” but I do not believe a woman should have to dim her femininity to be taken seriously. Being a woman includes sex appeal, intelligence, strength, and softness all at once. You can be sexy and smart. You can be in business and be beautiful. There is a misconception that beauty and brains do not coexist. I learned how to push back against that stereotype in the entertainment world, because people constantly underestimated me based on how I looked. That experience taught me how to use it to my advantage. Now I take that same power and strategy into the courtroom.

“Being a woman includes sex appeal, intelligence, strength, and softness all at once.”

What was the turning point that made you pursue law after your modeling career?

I actually got taken advantage of in a modeling contract. I did not understand that when I signed over the rights to one of my images, the company could resell it to third parties. They made three to four times more money off my image than I ever received. When I reached out to legal, they told me it was all in the contract I had signed but never fully read. I originally moved to Los Angeles to become a soap opera actress, but I fell into the world of Playboy and modeling. Even then, I told my grandmother that if modeling did not work out, I would

How have you shattered stereotypes about what a former model can achieve in the professional world?

The more people told me I could not do something, the harder I worked to prove them wrong. I am living proof that you can be a model, live life on your own terms, and still be successful in completely different careers. People often assume modeling is easy, but it actually requires a lot of hard work. It is not just about being pretty. You need strong posing, awareness of lighting, creativity, and confidence. You are constantly producing content and adapting. There is an art and strategy to it. I take that same level of effort, discipline, and creativity into my work as a lawyer. I understand how to build a visual story, and I apply that in the courtroom. When I argue, I structure my case in a way that is clear, compelling, and almost cinematic. I show

the judge the full picture of my client’s life and make their story impossible to ignore. The skill it takes to create something beautiful in front of a camera is the same skill I use to build powerful legal narratives.

Founding Bosworth Law Firm is no small feat—what was your vision when you started, and how has it evolved?

I was honestly terrified to start Bosworth Law because I was so afraid of failing. That fear held me back longer than it should have. I was working at a law firm where I did not agree with how things were run, and it bothered me to watch clients get charged so much that they were losing their homes or struggling just to survive. I did not become a lawyer to drain people financially. I became a lawyer to help them rebuild. As a former single mother, I know what being a family law client really feels like. I know the stress, the fear, the uncertainty, and the pressure. That is why I wanted to create a law firm that takes a holistic approach to divorce, not just legal paperwork. At Bosworth Law Firm, we focus on finances, healing, strategy, and long-term stability. We care about the human being, not just the case. We are also building some unconventional programs for our clients that I cannot wait to share when the time is right. This business is constantly evolving, and that excites me. Not every day is perfect, and any entrepreneur will tell you there is a lot of blood, sweat, and tears involved. But at the end of the day, if you want to build real wealth for your family, serve people the right way, and have control over your impact, entrepreneurship is the most powerful path. Starting Bosworth Law was scary, but it was the best decision I ever made.

Divorce and family law can be emotionally charged. How do you empower your clients to feel confident during these transitions?

Divorce is one of the hardest transitions a person can go through. The truth is there are only two ways out of a marriage: death or divorce. Sometimes we enter relationships that serve us for a season, but over time things change. If one person becomes complacent or the other carries all the weight, resentment grows. Resentment leads to distance, and when you become emotionally distant from someone, sometimes

the healthiest thing you can do is leave. Life is too short to stay unhappy with the person you chose. Divorce is no longer as taboo as people make it seem. I believe that if you are in an unhealthy relationship, there is a way out, and that way is divorce. My job is to help my clients make that transition as smooth as possible. I focus on making them financially stable and emotionally supported, and I tell them the truth about likely outcomes. I do not believe in telling clients what they want to hear only to let them be blindsided later. I am very honest and direct with my clients. Some people appreciate that, and some do not, and if they do not, I am simply not the attorney for them. Divorce is not one-size-fits-all. Every client needs something different, and we tailor our approach to each person so they feel safe and supported through the process. At the end of the day, they are grieving the loss of someone they once believed was forever. Divorce is a form of grief. My staff and I understand that, and we are trained to listen, support, and communicate with compassion. Sometimes clients do not need legal advice in that moment they just need someone to hear them. That is why our firm exists to protect, guide, and empower people through one of the hardest chapters of their lives.

As a female founder, what’s your philosophy on women supporting women in male-dominated spaces?

As a woman in a male-dominated field, and as an attractive woman on top of that, I have experienced people trying to belittle me, give me busy work, or make inappropriate comments. Women are often underestimated or put down in the legal profession, and I have dealt with a lot of passive-aggressive behavior from male attorneys. But the moment I step into a courtroom, everything changes. They stop talking when I win. I always come prepared to Court and I have had male opposing counsels come unprepared because of their preconceived bias of who I am. However, I do not argue with opinions, I argue with facts. I come to court prepared with evidence, strategy, receipts, and screenshots. I am relentless, and I do not back down. There is a saying in Texas: “Have you ever argued with a woman?” We do not quit. We do not get intimidated. We fight until the truth is heard. So if someone wants to underestimate

“I do not argue with opinions; I argue with facts. I come to court with evidence, strategy, and receipts.”

me because I am a woman, that is fine. They will respect me when I win.

You’ve helped many clients through difficult chapters in their lives. What’s the most memorable moment where you felt you made a real difference?

One of the moments I am most proud of was helping a client secure a significant financial settlement in a case involving serious harm. I have also helped clients receive above-guideline child support and spousal maintenance by powerfully telling their stories and presenting the truth in a way the court could not ignore. I have even helped a father win full custody, which is traditionally very difficult in Texas . These successes are not just legal victories. They are life-changing. My clients are not case numbers. They are real people who have to continue living long after the judge signs the final order. My goal is always to make their lives safer, more stable, and less overwhelming once I step out of the picture. Money cannot erase trauma or buy peace of mind, but I do believe that when someone has been harmed or taken advantage of, they deserve protection, justice, and fair compensation. At the end of the day, I fight to restore dignity and give my clients the ability to rebuild their lives.

How do you balance empathy and assertiveness in your work to achieve the best outcomes?

I balance empathy and assertiveness through reasonableness and emotional intelligence. To truly advocate for someone, you have to understand them. That is where empathy comes in. I listen to my clients. I validate their pain. I make space for their emotions, because divorce is not just a legal matter, it is a human experience. But empathy without strategy does not win cases. That is where assertiveness comes in. I am firm, I am direct, and I am not afraid to confront hard truths or stand up to opposing counsel. I will not allow my clients to be bullied or manipulated. I fight for them with everything I have. The key is knowing when to be soft and when to be strong. I read the room, I read the judge, and I read my clients. I know when to negotiate and when to go to war. Reasonableness is the bridge between empathy and assertiveness. It is what allows me to stay calm, grounded, and strategic even in highconflict situations. It keeps me focused on

outcomes, not egos. In the end, my clients get both sides of me: the heart that understands and the backbone that protects. What lessons about resilience have you learned from your own personal or professional reinventions?

There have been times in my life when I wanted to give up, and there are still days when those thoughts try to creep in. But I believe we are all placed on this earth for a reason. Once I got past my own pain, I realized my purpose was helping other people through theirs. Every day, I get to make someone’s life a little bit better. That is what keeps me going. I may not be perfect, but if I can support someone through one of the hardest seasons of their life and protect their children from unnecessary trauma, then I know my legacy will matter. Life is very short. If you are not resilient, you are not only doing yourself a disservice, but you are also depriving the people you could have helped. I believe we are here to serve one another. We are born alone, but we find love in connection, in caring for each other, and that is one of the most beautiful parts of being human. Even though I am a divorce attorney, I do not see divorce as an ending. I see it as a rebirth. It is the start of a new chapter, a chance to find a healthier love, or to grow into the person you were meant to become. It is about reclaiming peace and creating new connections that align with who you truly are. Resilience is not just surviving. It is choosing to rise, again and again, so you can help others rise too.

Your personal style has evolved over the years— how do you express glamour, confidence, and professionalism today?

My personal style has definitely evolved, but I would still say I dress with an edge. I probably own over 100 suit jackets at this point. Dolce & Gabbana is one of my favorite brands because their cuts fit my body perfectly. I also love Hugo Boss for structure and Balenciaga for bold statement pieces. To me, a great blazer is power. It is glamour, confidence, and professionalism all in one. I believe every woman should have jackets that are tailored to her body because the right fit changes everything. A crisp, perfectly structured suit jacket makes me feel unstoppable. When I was in Playboy , I lived in bikinis. Now, my version of glamour is a sharp blazer, strong shoulders, and clean lines. It is still

“Reinvention isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about becoming who you were always meant to be.”

feminine. It is still bold. It just shows a different kind of confidence. My style today is a balance of sexy, powerful, and sophisticated and I own it.

Did your experience as a Playboy cover girl influence how you see confidence and body positivity now?

When I was in Playboy , I was in the best shape of my life, and I was still self-conscious. That experience taught me something important: even when you look “perfect” on the outside, you can still feel insecure on the inside. I think most women can relate to that. Leaving the entertainment industry was also an adjustment. Everything in that world is based on looks and comparison. People commented on my nose, my body, and every little detail. I already had insecurities before modeling, and that environment amplified them. I wish I had been kinder to myself back then. Now I am older, and aging brings its own challenges. Women live under constant pressure to look a certain way. Even the body positivity influencers are all losing weight, so society sends mixed messages. Be confident, but also be perfect. I have shifted my focus from trying to be skinny to trying to be healthy. I am not perfect. I am a working woman who sits at a desk all day, so I do my best to get my steps in, take care of my body, and give myself grace. Confidence for me now is not about having a flawless body. It is about accepting myself, taking care of myself, and respecting the woman I am becoming. That is real confidence.

Who are your style icons, and how do they inspire your fashion choices today?

I pull a lot of inspiration from 90s runway fashion. Designers like Mugler created silhouettes that were powerful, sexy, and architectural, and I love that balance of strength and femininity. I spend way too much time on Pinterest , but it keeps my style fresh and creative. Right now, I am really into mixing sexy with studious. Think structured blazers, sharp tailoring, maybe a bold neckline or an unexpected detail. I like fashion that says “I’m intelligent, I’m confident, and I know exactly who I am.” I do have to watch myself because sometimes I want to push it a little too far, but I love bold colors, rich textures, and anything

navy, it is my version of a neutral. Shoes are my weakness. I have an entire collection of stilettos that I do not even wear to court, but I will never stop buying them. For court, I usually go with a sleek pair of Gucci flats. They are chic, powerful, and polished without trying too hard. My style is a mix of luxury, edge, and intention. I dress for the woman I am and the woman I am becoming.

How does being on the cover of QP FASHION MAGAZINE reflect your current identity as a powerful, multifaceted woman?

Being on the cover of QP Fashion Magazine feels incredibly special to me, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity. I will be honest I doubted myself at first. I had not modeled in a long time, and I wondered if that part of me was still there. But the moment I started shooting, especially after doing promotional photos for my law firm, it all came back. I remembered how much I love the artistic side of creating beautiful images and telling a story through fashion. What makes this even more meaningful is the company I am in. The women who have been featured in this magazine are stunning, powerful, and inspiring. The photographers are artists who capture strength and beauty in such a unique way. To stand alongside them is an honor. For me, this cover represents something deeper. It shows that a woman can evolve, grow, and still embrace every part of who she is. I can be a lawyer, a business owner, a mother, and still enjoy fashion, art, and femininity. I do not have to choose. If even one woman sees this cover and feels inspired to step into her own power, whether that means reinventing herself, chasing a dream, or owning every part of her story then this moment will mean everything to me. I am thankful, I am humbled, and I am proud to represent multifaceted women everywhere.

If you had to describe your “signature look” now, what would it be?

My signature look is a tailored blazer with pants, especially in the courtroom. I love an androgynous, powerful silhouette. There is something about a sharp suit and a slickedback hairstyle that commands respect the moment I walk in. It tells the room, “I know who

“You cannot reinvent yourself until you love yourself.”

I am, and I am here to win.” I think fashion is one of the most powerful forms of nonverbal communication. The right outfit can shift energy, shift perception, and shift how you feel about yourself. That is why I gravitate toward structure, clean lines, and bold simplicity. It is elegant, it is confident, and it makes people pay attention without me saying a word. But the best part about fashion is the freedom. I can show up in a strong, androgynous look one day and bring out full glam the next. Style is just another way I express my range as a woman. My signature look is power, tailored with intention.

How do you navigate the delicate balance of being a wife, mom, and CEO without losing yourself?

Balancing being a wife, mom, and CEO is one of the hardest things I have ever had to learn. When you start a business, there is no shortcut. You have to put in the time, the hours, and the sacrifice before you ever get to a place where you can delegate or breathe. That part takes years of growth and experience. I just try to do my best. I was raised by a mother who was one of the first female contractors in America and was even featured in the New York Times. She worked constantly, but she showed me what strength and determination look like. She taught me that if you want something, you build it yourself. That work ethic shaped me. My father also owned his own business. He has passed away now, but he was one of the most personable and genuine people I have ever known. He taught me how to talk to people, how to connect, and how to make others feel seen. I truly believe every great business owner has to be a great communicator, and I learned that from him. People think what I do is easy, but the truth is: to make something look easy, you have to work twice as hard. If success were easy, everyone would have it. The real balance comes from being intentional with the people I love. My husband and I try to have a date night every week or at least every two weeks. Quality time matters. My marriage matters. My kids matter. I want them to know that even though I work hard, they are never second to my success. I am incredibly blessed to have a husband who supports me one hundred percent. He believes in me, helps me with the business, and stands beside me in every season. I could not do any of this without

the people who love me and without the people who work with me. My team is incredible. They are intelligent, hardworking, loyal, and we grow together. I am humbled every day that I get to lead a life surrounded by people I love at home and at work. That is the greatest success I could ever ask for.

Motherhood often reshapes priorities. How has being a mom influenced your leadership style?

Motherhood has completely shaped the way I lead. I do not believe in micromanaging, and that comes from how I parent. As a mom, I give my children the tools, guidance, and support they need, but I also let them make their own choices and learn. I do the same with my team. When you micromanage people, you limit their potential. When you trust them, they grow. I am firm when I need to be, especially when I know certain choices will lead to the wrong outcome, but overall I am flexible because I understand that life happens. People are human. They need grace, trust, and respect. My goal as a leader is not just to run a law firm. It is to build a place where people feel proud to work. I want my team to feel valued and supported, because without them, we cannot deliver the level of service our clients deserve. This is not a one-person operation. It takes all of us. Being a mom taught me patience, empathy, structure, and the importance of leading with both strength and compassion. I am grateful every day for the people who choose to be a part of Bosworth Law . They are the heart of this firm, and we grow together.

What’s one daily habit that keeps you grounded and energized amidst a busy life?

One habit I practice daily is finding ways to calm my nervous system. Running a law firm is high pressure, and being an attorney adds even more stress because I am responsible for people’s lives, families, and futures. It is emotionally, mentally, and physically demanding, so I have to be intentional about staying grounded. Hot yoga is one of my favorite ways to reset. It clears my mind, releases stress from my body, and helps me reconnect with my purpose. I also practice grounding and red light therapy, which boosts my mood and helps me stay balanced. My goal is to operate at the highest level possible, so I focus on my physical and mental health. I try to

“You can be a model. You can be an entrepreneur. You can be a lawyer. You can be all three.”

eat whole foods, fuel my body, and treat myself like an athlete in my own life. In order to show up strong in the courtroom and for my clients, I have to take care of myself first. That is not selfish, it is discipline and needed to be able to function at my highest level.

How do you teach your children about confidence, ambition, and authenticity in today’s world?

I teach my children that confidence is not just being okay with who you are. Confidence is believing in yourself enough to push your own limits. It is not about being perfect. It is about trusting your abilities and being willing to grow. I tell my daughters that true confidence starts with self-belief, but it cannot stop there. You have to add perseverance. Confidence without effort is just ego. Perseverance means that on good days and bad days, you still show up for yourself. You still work toward your goals. You still move forward, even if it is only one step. I also remind them that goals do not always play out exactly the way you imagined, and that is okay. Life does not follow a script. But as long as you keep moving, you are not wasting time. You are building character, discipline, and purpose. When it comes to ambition, I teach them that if you do not believe in yourself, no one else will. The greatest entrepreneurs, leaders, and creators all started with belief. Honestly, some of the biggest breakthroughs in my life came from having what I call a “healthy level of delusional confidence.” I believed in myself even when everything around me told me not to. Life is not easy. There will be trauma, heartbreak, and failure. But none of those things define you unless you let them. You find your strength in the darkest moments, and you fight your way forward, because every day you wake up is a blessing. We do not know how long we are here, so why play small? Why be lazy? Why dim your own light? I teach my children to be confident, ambitious, and authentic by living it myself. I want them to see that you can be kind and powerful, humble and driven, soft

and unstoppable, all at the same time.

If you could give one piece of advice to women looking to reinvent themselves while staying true to their past, what would it be?

If I could give one piece of advice to women who want to reinvent themselves, it would be this: you cannot reinvent yourself until you love yourself. So many women come to me during a divorce wanting a fresh start. They change their hair, get surgery, try to become a completely different person. (And as a side note, bangs are never the answer.) But true reinvention does not start on the outside. It starts with self-love, self-respect, and self-awareness. You have to accept your past without letting it define your future. You can honor who you were and still grow into someone new.

The second thing is this: women need to stop tearing each other down. It is heartbreaking how often women judge and attack other women. Some people will even read this interview looking for something negative to say. That mindset keeps us small.

Imagine how powerful women could be if we supported each other instead of competing with each other. Imagine if we stopped being threatened and started being inspired. We forget how far we have come. Only a few decades ago, women could not own property or have their own bank accounts. My great grandmother could not vote. And now we are CEOs, lawyers, surgeons, creators, leaders.

Why would we fight each other when we already fought so hard just to stand here?

My advice is simple: Believe in yourself. Believe in other women. Celebrate success instead of resenting it. Lift each other up. Choose collaboration over competition. Never let a man, or anyone, tell you what you cannot do. Reinvention is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming who you were always meant to be.

“If success were easy, everyone would have it. To make something look effortless, you have to work twice as hard.”

MIAVANA BY TIME + TIDE

MADAGASCAR

AN ISLAND RETREAT STYLED BY NATURE ITSELF

There are places in the world that feel discovered, and there are others—very few—that feel imagined. Miavana by Time + Tide belongs to the latter category: a private-island sanctuary off Madagascar ’s northeastern coast where wild nature, barefoot luxury, and a whisper of high fashion converge in a way no runway could ever replicate.

A PRIVATE ISLAND DRAPED IN BLUE

On Miavana , the ocean isn’t just turquoise; it’s a gradient of blues so vivid they look airbrushed. Set on the Nosy Ankao archipelago, the resort unfolds along powder-soft beaches and untouched coral reefs, accessed by helicopter—a cinematic entrance worthy of any fashion heroine.

WILD GLAMOUR: WHERE STYLE MEETS SOLITUDE

Miavana is the kind of destination where “effortless” takes on new meaning. Think silk caftans swirling in the ocean breeze, oversized raffia hats, sun-faded linens, and barely-there gold jewelry catching the island light. The aesthetic here is modern desert island muse—a look that balances raw earthiness with refined luxury.

By day, guests slip into swimwear that blurs the line between resort and runway: high-waisted silhouettes, sculptural one-pieces, and coverups that resemble translucent gowns. By night, the mood shifts to barefoot elegance—soft fabrics, bronzed skin, and a simplicity that feels intentional rather than understated.

The villas, sculpted in pale stone and glass, feel like architectural couture: clean lines, artisanal details, and the kind of dreamy minimalism that lets the island’s natural beauty act as the statement piece. Every space whispers elegance. Every corner is pure editorial potential.

A PLAYGROUND OF RARE EXPERIENCES

But Miavana ’s allure isn’t just style—it’s soul. Helicopter over lemur-inhabited forests, dive into coral gardens teeming with neon fish, or stroll along sandbanks that appear and vanish with the tide. It is a place where exclusivity is enhanced by nature, not curated away from it. The island’s conservation ethos brings depth to the glamour. Lemur treks, guided by conservationists, create a rare connection between high-end travel and environmental reverence—a luxury far more meaningful than any designer label.

CULINARY ELEGANCE ON THE EDGE OF THE INDIAN OCEAN

Dining at Miavana feels like a series of intimate, bespoke experiences. The resort’s chefs craft menus that are as visually stunning as they are flavorful— vibrant fruits, freshly caught seafood, and Madagascan spices plated with artistic restraint. Imagine a candlelit dinner on the sand, your dress hem brushing the shoreline as lanterns glow like runway spotlights. Every meal becomes an occasion, every bite part of the island’s sensory story.

A DECEMBER ESCAPE WITH RUNWAY ENERGY

For a December getaway, Miavana exudes that rare combination of tropical warmth and holiday opulence. Imagine a festive season where the only frost is sea spray, the only sparkle is bioluminescent water, and the dress code is island couture: flowing white, sun-kissed gold, and fabrics that move like water. It’s not just a destination—it’s a mood, a palette, a vision.

THE ART OF SLOW LUXURY

Miavana redefines luxury not through excess but through pace. Days stretch long, unhurried, and sunlit. Breakfast can last hours, with linen tablecloths fluttering like couture hems in the breeze. Sunset aperitifs turn into stargazing sessions on private decks. This is slow luxury at its finest—deliberate, sensual, and deeply restorative. It’s a reminder that true indulgence is sometimes found in the spaces between moments.

EDITORIAL MOMENTS AT EVERY TURN

Miavana isn’t just a resort—it’s a backdrop begging for fashion moments. The long, untouched sandbars resemble nature’s catwalks. Palm-framed pathways create perfect editorial symmetry. Even the villas, with their sculptural interiors, invite cinematic silhouettes and soft, ethereal poses. It’s easy to imagine an entire couture campaign unfolding here—each corner a perfect blend of wild beauty and refined design.

“For travelers craving a December escape that pairs castaway fantasy with couture sensibility, Miavana is the ultimate island muse.”

THE FINAL NOTE

Miavana by Time + Tide is an editorial dreamworld: remote but refined, wild yet elevated, luxurious while staying intimately connected to its natural surroundings. It is a place that feels styled by the Earth itself.

ANYA ANGJELI CRAFTING IDENTITY THROUGH STYLE

In a world where fashion moves at lightning speed, stylist and former model Anya Angjeli is carving out a slower, more intentional path—one where clothing becomes a language of identity rather than a chase for trends. With a career built across global runways, culturally rich travel, and a deep understanding of personal expression, Anya has developed a signature approach that blends discipline, curiosity, and emotional clarity. Her styling philosophy, now crystallized in Angjel’s Method , positions fashion as a transformative tool—one that aligns self-image with personal story.

As Creative Director of Your Picture-Perfect Moments , Anya brings this philosophy to life with the precision of a storyteller. She reverse-engineers images, crafts wardrobe arcs for clients across budgets, and channels the raw energy of New York City into digital styling for clients worldwide. In this exclusive conversation, she opens up about the origins of her method, the cultural influences that shaped her eye, and the legacy she hopes to build— one rooted in sustainability, individuality, and the power of seeing oneself clearly.

Anya, you’ve had a career that spans modeling, international travel, and now personal styling, what first inspired you to merge these worlds into Your Picture-Perfect Moments?

I’ve always seen fashion as more than clothing— it’s storytelling. Modeling gave me the discipline to embody a brand’s vision, travel taught me cultural sensitivity, and styling became the medium to merge those worlds into a service where people can see themselves at their best. Launching Angjel’s Method was the natural extension of that—bringing all those experiences into a framework that is both personal and sustainable.

How did your time in modeling shape your eye for aesthetics and inform the way you approach styling today?

Being on set taught me how every detail—fit, fabric, angle, even posture—creates an image. I learned how clothes photograph, how light plays on textures, and how confidence translates. That attention to detail now defines my approach to styling and became foundational in how I built Angjel’s Method.

What experiences during your international travels most influenced your perspective on fashion and self-expression?

identity. That philosophy is baked into Angjel’s Method , which makes style both personal and transformative.

Quiet luxury and practicality are central to your styling ethos—how do you balance those elements while keeping looks aspirational yet accessible?

For me, luxury is restraint—choosing fewer, better things. I balance it with practicality by prioritizing versatility: pieces that transition from work to travel, polished to relaxed. Aspirational doesn’t mean unreachable—it means considered. Angjel’s Method is built on that principle, where clients can access style that feels elevated yet grounded.

“When clients dress in alignment with who they are, confidence becomes inevitable.”

Every city has its rhythm—Parisian restraint, New York urgency. Experiencing those contrasts sharpened my belief that style is a dialogue between environment and self. Travel made me less rigid, more experimental, and endlessly curious—an ethos I’ve carried into Angjel’s Method , where adaptability is key.

You emphasize that styling is not just about clothes but about self-expression. Can you elaborate on how fashion serves as a language of identity?

Clothes speak before you do. They broadcast values, mood, even ambition. When clients stop chasing what they “should” wear and start dressing in alignment with who they are, fashion becomes fluency—their own dialect of

Many people feel pressure to follow trends. How do you guide clients to develop a style that reflects who they are rather than what’s currently popular?

Trends are background noise. I help clients tune into their core—body type, lifestyle, aspirations—and we build a visual language around that. When the style is rooted in self, it always feels modern, even when trends shift. Angjel’s Method was designed to help clients quiet that noise and find clarity.

As Creative Director of Your Picture-Perfect Moments, what is your process when creating looks for clients, particularly for photoshoots and urban destination travel?

I reverse-engineer the image. Who is the client? Where are we? What story are we telling? For photoshoots and destination travel, I craft a wardrobe arc—looks that photograph seamlessly, reflect personality, and anticipate the energy of the environment. Angjel’s Method gives me a structure to do this consistently across different settings.

You often work with clients on modest budgets, what strategies do you use to deliver polished, luxurious results without compromise?

Constraints make creativity sharper. I focus on tailoring, strategic accessorizing, and highlow combinations. Luxury doesn’t require labels—it requires intention. The polish comes from fit, proportion, and knowing

when to subtract. Angjel’s Method makes this accessible, so style isn’t limited by budget.

What has been one of your most rewarding transformations with a client, where fashion truly impacted their confidence or personal story?

One client told me, “I finally recognize myself in the mirror.” For me, that’s everything. The clothes were secondary, the real shift was confidence. When someone steps into alignment with their image, their entire life recalibrates. That transformation is the reason Angjel’s Method exists.

With fashion being so fast-paced, how do you keep your creative work fresh while staying true to your core values?

I ground myself in psychology and human behavior rather than the trend cycle. People evolve, culture evolves, and that’s my inspiration. Staying true to my values while experimenting with new mediums keeps the work alive. Angjel’s Method is my anchor in that process, it’s the framework that ensures I stay aligned with purpose.

The rise of digital styling has opened doors globally. How does bringing “the energy of New York City’s fashion world” online change the way you work with clients worldwide?

Digital opened the floodgates, I can bring New York ’s edge to someone in Austin or Chicago without limitations. The energy of NYC fashion is fast, raw, unfiltered, and clients worldwide crave that. Angjel’s Method makes that energy adaptable, giving clients the NYC sharpness while honoring their own individuality.

From your perspective, what role will personal styling play in the future of fashion as people increasingly seek individuality?

Personal styling is becoming the antidote to

mass fashion. Sustainability is currently at the center of attention, and fast fashion is too available to all. Being able to reuse and swap clothing as well as knowing how to use accessories to transform the look, without buying new clothes that everyone is wearing, will require a skillful eye. Angjel’s Method was created to guide people in exactly this shift.

As both a model and stylist, what has been your proudest professional milestone so far?

Launching Angjel’s Method feels like a major milestone. It’s a growth spurt that was fueled by awareness about climate change as well as understanding of people’s economic stability. I wanted to create something that is affordable to all without polluting the planet. I don’t believe that has been done yet, and I believe I can accomplish that with my approach. What advice would you give to someone looking to invest in their style as a way of investing in themselves?

Treat style as infrastructure. The same way you’d invest in your health or your home, invest in how you present yourself. It’s not vanity—it’s equity. Angjel’s Method gives people the tools to treat style as a long-term investment. Ultimately, what legacy do you want to create through Your Picture-Perfect Moments and your work in the fashion industry?

I want to redefine style as a tool for selfreinvention. Launching Angjel’s Method was not just a milestone but the cornerstone of that vision. My legacy isn’t just well-dressed clients—it’s people who walk differently, think differently, and live differently because they finally see themselves with clarity. And they do so sustainably, with awareness of both self and planet.

“Personal styling is the future—it’s the antidote to mass fashion and the gateway to a more sustainable, individual, and intentional wardrobe.”

SNEAKERS: ALWAYS KICKING IN STYLE

Sneakers have their own appeal, besides having structure and functioning as shoes, there is an experimentation and innovation that blends so smoothly and unifiedly. It is natural for people to be fond of sneakers, as they provide more comfort for the soles of the feet compared to wedges, stilettos, boots, and other types of shoes. This is what makes sneakers worthy of being included in the athleisure status.

Although initially sneakers were a development of sporty shoes that are certainly associated with sports activities, sneakers actually have a dynamic character, so it is not surprising that over time they have become a fashion and have a throne at fashion week, proven! And now it is an expression of musicians, as well as celebrities who do not want to be left behind, sneakers have become their fashion identity.

OWN THE FOCAL POINT PERMANENTLY

When it comes to color, sneakers are inextricably linked to improvisations like aqua blue, lime, burgundy, electric orange, and neon pink. Formally, sneakers consistently respond to contemporary culture, blending fashion genres, and, even more importantly, making people dress more vibrantly and cheerfully.

Those who wear sneakers can still be in tune with fashion trends in 2025. Sneakers are always able to be more modern at any time. Furthermore, sneakers blend in and meet the expectations, needs, and even desires of anyone. Sneakers represent hype, the image of truly cool shoes, and the search for an expressive fashion identity. of silhouettes, boxy, loose, or body fit.

BRINGS YOU TO THE CENTER OF THE CULTURAL ZEITGEIST

From the cross-cultural influences of the era, several typical sneaker concepts emerged: the down low, classic canvas, track field, functional practicality, retro revival, and studio staples. Then, people got creative with their sneaker looks. Perhaps for those who first tried street style, if it seemed too mainstream, they could later go for a controversial ninja look, with gaucho and judo pants tucked in.

Or, as a layperson, you could steal the style, as Katie Holmes did among Hollywood celebrities of the past. A classic unisex tennis shoe. Maybe you want something a little different but still want to stand out, as Taylor Swift did when she appeared in classic sneakers. Another top and bottom style, and of course, sneakers. Then came an unexpected yet stunning outfit: Zendaya opted for loose pants and a loose blazer, followed by white sneakers. Easy to move in and airy—that's all a comfortable package in the outfit.
