MISSION, EQUITY & INCLUSION COMMITTEE CHAIR
TERM: Two-year renewable term beginning January
SCOPE: The Mission Equity & Inclusion Committee will work to support the goals of the branch and Association as identified by the board of management and the executive director. These goals are identified in the Association’s Strategic Plan and will be adopted to work towards improving the John Rolfe Family YMCA community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Presides over all committee meetings ensuring the agenda is followed and outcomes are reached.
• Sets the agenda for meetings based on the committee’s chart of work as given by the board of management’s chair.
• Manages the flow of conversation in the meetings to ensure everyone’s opinion is heard and the appropriate amount of time is spent in dialogue.
• Reports to the board chair, executive director, and the board of management as to the progress of the committee’s work.
• Ensures that minutes are taken at meetings and are properly distributed among committee members.
• Utilizes staff to have the necessary documents, data, and materials needed for meetings.
