Samuel Lewis had two goals and an assist, and Evan Clark added two goals of his own as the Kamloops Storm cruised to a 6-0 shut-out win over the Steam in Summerland in KIJHL action last Friday night. Owen Aura, Ty Horner, and Braden Smith all had two assists each. Jameson Rende and Harrison Ewert rounded out the scoring as Colton PhillipsWatts got the shut-out win in goal making 25 saves. Kamloops were 2-for-3 on the power play and a perfect 7-for-7 on the penalty kill.

When Brett Joseph went top shelf on Phillips-Watts to give his Sicamous Eagles a 2-1 third-period lead the Storm didn’t panic. In fact, less than a minute later Evan Douglas tied the game from the slot on a feed from Horner, and then Horner went coast to coast a

few minutes after that and sniped bar-down for the winner and a 3-2 come from behind win before a boisterous crowd at McArthur Island Sports Centre last Saturday night.

Phillips-Watts stopped 23 of 25 shots in getting the win in goal while Kamloops fired 31 shots at Eagles netminder Gage Reimer.
