8 of the Craziest Pools in the World!! San Alfonso del Mar Resort in Chile Second biggest pool in the entire world, covering more than 20 acres and holding approximately 66 million gallons of seawater. At its deepest, the pool plunges an impressive 115 feet into the ground.
Sky Pool, London - Caution: This glassbottomed pool is not for the faint of heart. Suspended 10 stories up, the 90foot dip connects two luxury apartment complexes in London's new Nine Elms quarter. Go for a plunge, if you dare. Just don't look down. Crocosaurus Cove Pool, Australia Are you an adrenaline junkie? Then you’ll love to dive into this pool full of crocodiles in Darwin, Australia. There are over 200 species, with the largest saltwater crocs as long as 16 ½ feet long!
Hanging Gardens, Bali High above Bali’s tropical forest, the bi-level infinity pool at Hanging Gardens is about as scenic as it gets. With bamboo trees and lush greenery all around, it's not hard to see why.
Nemo 33 Pool, Belgium - The deepest pool in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records can be found in Brussels, Belgium. Specifically built for divers, the pool's maximum depth is 113 ft.
Ocean Domei, Japan The Ocean Dome in Miyazaki, Japan is the perfect alternative to an actual beach. Once billed as the world's largest indoor water park, it is home to the world's largest retractable roof (complete with a simulated sky, clouds and all), a fake volcano, artificial sand and the world's largest wave pool.
SkyPark At The Marina Bay Sands, Singapore - The infinity pool at Marina Bay Sands, owned by Sheldon Adelson, one of the biggest supporters of Jewish causes and designed by Israeli architect Moshe Safdie, has a first-class view—55 stories up. Perched atop the three towers of the world's most expensive hotel, the water seamlessly flows over the edge, into a catchment and back into the pool. The pool itself touches all three buildings and is longer than the Eiffel Tower laid on its side.
Grand Finale…. World’s largest Private Residential Pool El Campo, TX. 9 The pool built by Mike Mobley (possibly the nicest guy in the world too!) in his backyard, takes 600,000 gallons of water to fill - that’s 30-40 times more water than is required by a standard swimming pool. 9 Mobley has an open-door policy when it comes to his pool. He wants it to be used by friends, family and residents of El Campo. Part of the owner’s intention was to provide a spot where local kids could swim for free. 9 The pool’s slide is 21 feet long and built to look like natural rock. The slide cost $70,000 to construct which is almost 10 times as much as the average cost for pool slides as it’s six to seven times larger. 9 The fabricated tree with rope swing cost approximately
$15,000-$18,000 to create. 9 There’s a swim up bar in the pool that set Mobley back approximately $200,000. 9 More expensive than the bar were the genuine Florida palm trees he paid to have flown in—a $250,000 expense. 9 To recreate a pool like Mobley’s, you’d have to shell out $3 million dollars.
