Press Release | Jewish Federation of Broward County announces new President and CEO Audra P. Berg Broward County, FL - Alan B. Cohn, Board Chair of The Jewish Federation of Broward County, is thrilled to announce that Audra Berg has been appointed as its new President & CEO. She will begin this role effective February 14, 2022. Audra has served the Jewish community in professional leadership roles for more than 25 years. At the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago (JUF) she worked with longtime President & CEO Dr. Steven B. Nasatir serving as Vice President, Leadership Engagement for over 15 years helping to fortify leadership for a community that has raised billions of dollars to support local, national, and global Jewish causes. She also leads the Jewish community’s professional development association as the youngest female Board Chair of JPRO, having served on the board for the past 15 years. As a key member of the Senior Executive team in Chicago, Audra managed operations for JUF’s 90-member Board of Directors and led leadership engagement and talent development for hundreds of volunteer leaders throughout the organization. She oversaw all areas of governance, succession planning, training, leadership development initiatives, and served as the Chicago liaison to Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) on leadership issues. Audra began her career in Chicago focused on annual campaign and endowment growth. Her other professional roles included working for the Makor/Steinhardt Center of the 92nd St Y, JFNA and Advancing Women Professionals and the Jewish Community before returning to Chicago in 2006 to take on the Leadership Engagement portfolio. “My longstanding commitment to the Jewish people and multi-faceted work in the Jewish community has prepared me to take on the leadership of the Jewish Federation of Broward County. This work is more than a career, it is a calling, and I feel truly humbled to be given the opportunity to lead this tremendous community,” says Audra. “The search committee worked diligently on identifying the best candidates for our Jewish Federation. When we found Audra Berg, we knew she was the one!
