(WEC) WOMEN’S EXECUTIVE CIRCLE This program is for professional, corporate, and entrepreneurial women working full-time or with ten years of full-time work experience. WEC members focus on helping one another network and developing businesses to give back to the community. WEC often partners with YLD and B&P to host events and offer mentorship opportunities.

(YLD) HORIZONS LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM & YOUNG LEADERSHIP DIVISION The Horizons Leadership Program is a 10-class program focusing on team building, leadership training, and problem-solving, and teaches participants

ages 22–40 about the role of the Jewish Federation and its leaders in the community, as well as the challenges facing Jewish communities locally and abroad. Upon graduating, participants can advance to be part of the YLD Board and other committees of the Federation.

Meanwhile, the Young Leadership Division (YLD) offers a variety of social, educational, and mitzvah activities organized each month.

IMPACT TEAMS Impact Teams are one of the most meaningful ways to contribute your leadership and expertise to make a positive impact on our community. Each impact team has a specific funding area for which they are responsible. Each team meets during the year to evaluate current grants and funding, research future needs, submit requests for proposals to agencies and organizations based on the impact team’s goals, and determine which programs are funded and at what level.

Cord blood has established uses in transplant medicine; however, its use in regenerative medicine is still being researched. There is no guarantee that potential medical applications being studied in the laboratory or clinical trials will become available.

Cord tissue use is still in early research stages, and there is no guarantee that treatments using cord tissue will be available in the future. Cord tissue is stored whole. Additional processing prior to use will be required to extract and prepare any of the multiple cell types from cryopreserved cord tissue. Cbr Systems, Inc.’s activities for New York State residents are limited to collection of umbilical cord tissue and long-term storage of umbilical cord–derived stem cells. Cbr Systems, Inc.’s possession of a New York State license for such collection and long-term storage does not indicate approval or endorsement of possible future uses or future suitability of these cells.
