RESPOND IN CRISIS

STAND WITH ISRAEL AND GLOBAL JEWRY

*Fiscal Year July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025

INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION
This year, rising antisemitism, global conflict, and increasing local needs tested our community in profound ways. And yet, in the face of pain and uncertainty, Jewish Broward responded—with focus, determination, and unity.
With increased conviction, Federation has stood with Israel and worked to confront antisemitism—mobilizing emergency support, strengthening our institutions, expanding security, and showing up for one another.
And even as we respond to crises, we continue to build. In Fiscal Year 2025, we launched Ignite Broward, a community-wide listening effort. More than 1,400 people shared their hopes and aspirations, helping to shape a vision for our future. That vision, captured in seven bold aspirational statements, now guides the work of our newly formed Task Forces charged with transforming those ideas into action.
Thanks to your support—and our strongest campaign in two decades—we invested more than $23 million in programs that protect, connect, and sustain Jewish life. We prioritized security. We stood with Israel. We supported those most in need. We engaged the next generation, and we built new bridges across our diverse community.
This Annual Report tells the story of a community that chose courage over complacency, but more importantly, defines the community that we want to be. We look forward to all that is possible as we continue to lead with generosity and compassion.
With gratitude,

DOUG BERMAN
Jewish Federation of Broward County

AUDRA P. BERG Board Chair President & CEO

Federation of Broward County

This year, Federation was everywhere—igniting ideas, inspiring action, and strengthening the heart of Jewish Broward. From gatherings and service projects to community missions and learning opportunities, 2025 was a year of showing up for one another. We don’t just help “out there.” We build community—right here. When we give, volunteer, and engage, we’re not just helping others—we’re strengthening the heart of Jewish Broward.

“Transformational is the word that best describes our Federation’s evolution. Momentum is on our side—and there’s never been a more important time for us to keep driving it forward.”
—Lisa Henry

We are the strategic engine behind Jewish Broward—uniting generosity, leadership, and partnership to care for our community, nurture Jewish identity, and stand with Israel and global Jewry when it matters most.
Because we believe in the power of Jewish peoplehood—that every Jew is responsible for one another, and that Jewish life must be protected, nurtured, and passed forward with pride.
Community is our superpower. No one should face hardship alone. Our children should grow up proud, our elders live with dignity, and Israel will always have our love and strength.
We mobilize Broward’s Jewish community to strengthen and sustain Jewish life—here, in Israel, and around the world. Together, we:
• Stand with Israel & Global Jewry
Delivering urgent aid, rebuilding, and supporting Jewish communities in 70+ countries.
• Prioritize Safety & Security
Equipping Jewish spaces with training, resources, and readiness to stay safe and resilient.
• Support Our Most Vulnerable
Funding food, housing, mental health, and elder care for those in need.
• Inspire The Next Generation
Sparking Jewish identity through learning, travel, and engagement, from PJ Library to Birthright.
• Build Bridges
Strengthening Jewish voices through advocacy, civic partnerships, and the fight against antisemitism.
• Respond to Crisis
Turning compassion into coordinated action at home and abroad.
Because of you, we’ve grown from a safety net into a strategic engine—ready to respond in crisis, meet growing needs, and invest boldly in the Jewish future. Our campaign is the strongest it’s been in two decades. More people are stepping up, getting involved, and finding purpose through community. And our impact is transforming lives—here in Broward, in Israel, and around the world.
When you give, you become part of something special—fueling change, strengthening community, and making the extraordinary possible.

We bring the right partners together to get the job done, ensuring Jewish needs are heard, met, and championed across Broward.
From war in Israel to a hurricane in Broward, our systems and partnerships are built to respond fast, smart, and with compassion. When needs arise, we don’t wait—we act.
We unite Jews of every background, belief, and generation—from synagogues to startups, Hillel students to Holocaust survivors. We bring the full spectrum of Jewish life together to build something bigger, together.
Our 80+ years of experience ensure that we don’t just respond to crisis—we build resilience. Our investments support today’s challenges while laying the groundwork for a stronger, more secure Jewish future.

Just this year, we invested more than $23 million in caring for Jews everywhere, responding to crises and shaping our Jewish future.
Our unparalleled network of global Jewish organizations work individually AND together to address issues.
No one person or organization can do this alone.
This was not just another year, it was a turning point for Jewish Broward.
Amid challenge and change, our Federation led with strength, unity, and purpose —transforming the way we connect, care, and build for the future.
Together, we are igniting something extraordinary.
Through bold vision, courageous leadership, and the generosity of thousands, we are turning shared values into shared impact—fueling care, learning, security, and Jewish pride across Broward and beyond.

• Millions more through supplemental campaigns and designated giving

This was the year Jewish Broward showed what’s possible—when we move forward, together.

This year, we didn’t just look inward—we looked forward.
Ignite Broward is the largest and most inclusive listening initiative in our Federation’s history.
Powered by more than 50 trained Community Connectors, this effort engaged over 1,400 people across generations, geographies, and backgrounds to ask: “What are your aspirations for Broward’s Jewish community, now and for the future?”

“I want Jewish life that’s easy to access and hard to live without.”
“I want to belong without having to fit in.”
“I want to be part of something bigger— but local.”
“I want my kids to love being Jewish.”
Out of this engagement emerged 7 Bold Aspirational Statements that reflect the community’s highest hopes and greatest needs—from access and affordability to identity, belonging, collaboration, and global connection.
In Fall 2025, we launched Task Forces for each aspiration, charged with identifying solutions, strategies, and priorities for the years ahead.

“We didn’t just ask what was wrong. We asked what’s possible.”
