SERVING THE MID-WILLAMETTE VALLEY EQUIP - ENCOURAGE - UNITE in truth “Diversity or sensitivity training is about the normalization of the homosexual lifestyle.”

“Tolerance means that one person never expresses a judgment about someone else’s ideas, beliefs, and values from a worldview of absolute truth.”

Where are we headed? Many of those who follow One-World Spirituality and pagan spirituality are committed to the economic policies of socialism, and the economic system that is based not only on the redistribution of wealth but on the confiscation of private property as well. The author of the Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx, called for a powerful central government, a punitive progressive income tax system, the merging of education with industrial production, the elimination of a free press, and much more. Sadly, Marxism is alive and well in America, but this destructive worldview has been hidden from most Americans under terms that mask the reality of what is going on. When you hear "political correctness,"

what comes to mind? Informed, discerning, and insightful individuals immediately think of such PC words as tolerance, diversity, multiculturalism, and feminism. But what do these words really mean? Tolerance means that one person never expresses a judgment about someone else's ideas, beliefs, and values from a worldview of absolute truth. Tolerance demands that you not only accept the other worldview but that you value their worldview unless, of course, their worldview is Biblical Christianity. Tolerance is very intolerant of Bible-minded Christians. Diversity or, sensitivity training, is about the normalization of the homosexual lifestyle. Continued on page 3

“Multiculturalism is not the study of many cultures but the criticism of the Western Culture and its founding worldview of Christianity. Multiculturalism also desires to destroy patriotism.”

CHRISTIAN CHAMBER OF THE STARFISH PROJECT COMMERCE of the northwest

By Bill Kenyon A new believer was told to pray for her calling as a Christian. After praying for less than 2 weeks, she woke up at 2:30 a.m. and said, “Christian Chamber of Commerce.” Our “Leap of Faith” grand opening luncheon was held on February 29, 2008. As of this publication, we have 177 members that pledge to do business according to Biblical principles, not merely having a fish on their business cards or on a bumper sticker. The Chamber is committed to expand the Kingdom in the marketplace by being examples and by training our members toward that expansion. Our Educational Chairperson, Judah Musick with Family Wealth Institute, has done a tremendous job of bringing us speakers and courses that benefit our members and, at the same time, teach us to be better stewards of our businesses. We must recognize that we are only stewards, and that God is our CEO. In February, our speaker was Patrice Tsague of Nehemiah Ministries and developer of the Biblical Entrepreneurship educational series. strategic partner for this series of classes. In March, we had David Cowan from England, educated at Oxford, and the author of the Economic Parables. Then, in April at our 1st Anniversary event, Dr. Lance Wallnau was our speaker and also became a Founding Member of HIS Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Wallnau is an expert in the 7 Mountains of Influence and changing our culture back to one where people seek God, rather than the culture which now seeks to throw God out of all 7 areas – Arts and Entertainment, Business, Education, Family, Religion, Media and Government. The Christian Chamber of Commerce meets twice a month in Salem, and once a month in Albany. There are also meetings throughout the month in Newberg, Tigard, Clackamas, Portland and Vancouver, WA. A new chapter was launched this month in Eugene. Please join us for lunch at the Countryside Pizza & Grill, 645 River Road at 11:30 on June 11th. Kindly rsvp to info@cccnw.net as there is limited seating. For more info on any of the Chamber meetings, visit our website at www.cccnw.net for times and locations.

For More events Visit www.thejctown.com WHERE ARE WE HEADED? Multiculturalism is not the study of many cultures but the criticism of the Western Culture and its founding worldview of Christianity. Multiculturalism also desires to destroy patriotism. Feminism is not about equal rights for women but about the destruction of a patriarchal society in favor of a matriarchal society. In other words, the goal of feminism is the destruction of the family by eliminating the husband and father as the provider, protector, and principled leader of his home. Think of fathers like Charles Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie, John Walton from The Waltons, and Ward Cleaver from Leave It to Beaver. Each of these television programs presented the father in an accurate portrayal of what American society at one time expected and loved about the patriarch of the family. A father who did not shape and encourage his children to embrace and live out a Christian worldview through their character and life choices was looked down upon by society as being a dead-beat, a drunkard, an immoral reprobate, or slothful. Today, society no longer has these high expectations or the shunning of men who are not principled and present fathers. Look at today's television programs where the father is often not even in the picture, and, if he is, he is not a principled leader of his home who seeks to disciple his children in truth and right living. Often the father is the whipping boy of the program, the stooge that

the children treat with extreme disrespect. Feminism has accomplished its ultimate goal - the destruction of the American family through the destruction of the father and, thus, the rise of the welfare state. “Political correctness” is all about creating chaos by destroying the American family, replacing the role of the father with the role of the state, normalizing sexual perversion, and ridiculing traditional morals and virtues that stem from Christianity. The PC crowd uses this chaos to justify more government. Political correctness is really a masking term for cultural Marxism. An all-powerful and intrusive government that robs you of your freedoms -- that’s the ultimate goal of what you may know only as political correctness. People laugh about political correctness as if it is some kind of joke, but losing your freedom of religion, freedom of speech, property rights, and parental authority is no laughing matter. Thought control is not funny, and many Christians have been prosecuted under state hate-crime laws for sharing the gospel and for publicly speaking out against homosexuality. Marxists have used the term political correctness for at least 80 years to hide the worldview of cultural Marxism. In 1923, a group of German intellectuals started what has become known as the Frankfurt School. The writings of the Frankfurt School faculty Continued on page 4

The Starfish Story Original Story by Loren Eisley One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something upand gently throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, “What are you doing?” The youth replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.” “Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!” After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said, “I made a difference for that one.” The Starfish Project is a grassroots effort to support children and their families suffering from poverty in Zimbabwe, Africa. Through the ministry of our sponsoring organization, Christian World Outreach (CWO), many families receive food, clothing, school supplies, and Christian training. The initial effort of the Starfish Project, organized in 2009, is to extend the efforts of CWO by sponsoring children orphaned by AIDS or other trauma in a village currently not receiving support. The Starfish Project is a child sponsorship program established to support the work of Christian World Outreach in Zimbabwe. In March of 2009, the pastor of Solid Rock Community Church in Salem, Oregon, Dennis Ide and his wife, Nancy, visited the Mutare village in Zimbabwe and met Pastor Onias Tapera and his family to view their work firsthand. Pastor Tapera operates the CWO office in Mutare that fulfills the food and supply needs of the sponsored orphans. They reported the integrity, dedication and sacrifice of Pastor Tapera far surpassed even their highest expectations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is the monthly cost of sponsorship? The cost to sponsor one child per month is $30 USD. What does a child receive for $30 each month? Your sponsored child will receive food, clothing, and school supplies. How will my sponsored child receive the food and supplies? The Starfish Project’s partner organization in Zimbabwe, Christian World Outreach, will purchase and deliver the food and supplies to your child each month. Can I write to my child? Yes! Your child’s address will be given to you when you register. Keep your child’s culture and environment in mind when corresponding. Share about your family and friends and interests, and feel free to send a photo of yourself or your family. You may also want to include some paper and an addressed and stamped envelope for your child to return a letter to you. Will I receive updates on my child’s progress?

(Pastor Tepera and Dennis Ide) A NEW RELATIONSHIP IS AWAITING YOU!

Yo u r commitment to a child will make a world of difference in the quality of their life. As the months and years go by, you will learn much about your child and be able to monitor their progress. We hope you will enjoy developing your relationship with your sponsored child. You will become a very vital part of your sponsored child’s life! Your help will also enrich the child’s community as together they grow and learn more about their place in the world. Though we cannot individually change the world, we can change the world for one person. This is the heart of The Starfish Project. Thank you, and may God richly bless you and you newly sponsored child! Dennis Ide, Pastor Solid Rock Community Church is located at 3535 Ward Dr. NE, Salem, Oregon 97305.

Yes. Once a year the Christian World Outreach staff will send progress reports to sponsors. Can I send packages to my sponsored child? Sorry, but no. Duties on packages are costly, and sponsored children may not be able to pay the cost to receive the package. How long will my sponsorship last? Your sponsored child will receive support until they are self-supporting. If you are unable to continue your support, your child will be assigned a new sponsor. The goal of the Starfish Project is to enable your child to break the cycle of poverty and begin a selfsupporting existence. How do I make my contributions? Monthly contributions can be made by check/money order or by automatic transfer. If paying by check, monthly statements will be sent via email or US mail for your convenience in returning your check. Quarterly statements are sent if your payment is by automatic withdrawal. To set up automatic payments, call 503-758-9633. local & market place news local and market place Introducing C.L.A.S.S

(Christian Local Alliance of Salem area Schools) By Gary Glassco Last March, I called together interested Christian school administrators in the greater Salem area. There are more than 30 of these schools within just a few miles of Salem. A small group of these administrators were able to meet and to revisit the purpose and mission of the former S.A.A.C.S. (Salem Area Association of Christian Schools) organization. SAACs had halted to a standstill shortly after the passing of Mr. Ben Potloff, in 2007, the Superintendent of Salem Academy. After serving and enjoying the fellowship, networking and collegiality of SAACS for most of my time as administrator for Willamette Valley Christian School, my heart began to long for a return of this kind of an organization. On March 10 at the Sizzler Restaurant a few school administrators met and unanimously agreed to restart and to reorganize the original SAACS organization. The purpose and mission of SAACS was reviewed and reaffirmed as well as a name change adopted. C.L.A.S.S. (Christian Local Alliance of Salem area Schools) was suggested by Cindy Smith of JC Media Group. New officers were elected; Gary Glassco, chairperson, Kate Thatcher, secretary -Concordia Lutheran, and Pat Rausch, treasurer - Western Mennonite and remaining funds from SAACS were transferred into a CLASS bank account. It was a thrilling afternoon as local Christian school administrators encouraged one another, fellowshipped and

spent time together in prayer for each other’s schools and personal needs. Regular meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month at Emerald Point in north Keizer. The purpose of CLASS is to promote and advance Christian School education in the Salem regional area. Through association, administrators of the member schools seek to: 1) Emphasize and communicate the value of a Christian School education to our constituencies 2) Build relationships with the church leaders in the communities of our respective schools 3) Provide quality educational programs within safe and caring environments at our respective schools 4) Meet regularly for mutual support and sharing of our visions and ideas with respect to Christian schooling 5) Provide a clearinghouse for information of member schools to families and community organizations. To join, local Christian schools agree to the stated general purpose and goals of CLASS and pay a minimal annual membership fee in June of each year. The funds are used for CLASS approved projects and membership benefits. It is an exciting group of Christian co-workers who feel called to serve our community of faith in providing Christian schooling opportunities.

WESLEYAN COMMUNITY CENTER THRIVES IN UNCERTAIN ECONOMY The stock market might be down, but the throngs of neighborhood children attending the free after- school program at the South East Neighborhood Community Center (SENCC) in Salem never diminish. In fact, according to Jerry Sloan, pastor at Capital Park Wesleyan Church, “Every year there are increasing needs. God has always been faithful to provide as we minister to more and more people.” His congregation is small (150 members) but their faith in God is big -- very big. So big, in fact, that members of the church had a vision to build a community center in their neighborhood where crime and juvenile problems were escalating. With prayer and the generosity of others, the Southeast Neighborhood Community Center was built in 1998. It included a full size gym and classrooms. Programs started with free after-school activities for children of Richmond and Bush Schools. Today, attendance has mushroomed to an average of sixty to eighty children each afternoon, who are provided supervised gym activities, snacks, art projects, and a therapy “reading dog” in the library where homework and reading skills are emphasized. Dave Hayworth, more affectionately known as “Coach Dave,” always includes a spiritual aspect for the students at circle time each day. In the summer SENCC sponsors a day camp which provides outdoor activities for a host of grade school children and also a five day adventure camp at Camp Lane. In

addition, SENCC now serves as a location for home schooling activities, a GED program, a Wednesday night free soup dinner, a food bank, and programs for Junior High and High School students. The Neighborhood Association also meets there each month. “Lives have been changed, and our neighborhood is a better place. Crime is down and other churches are following our example,” says Pastor Sloan. But even he admits that with the current economic times it is getting more difficult to maintain what has already been established, let alone adding anything new. “No one wants to have to cut back when the needs are greater now than ever.” It currently costs $90,000 to $100,000 a year to run the programs and pay for utilities, maintenance, and salaries for one full time and four part time employees. Some of those costs will be defrayed by the annual “Spaghetti Feed and Auction” which is the biggest fundraiser of the year and will be held in the Community Center at 410 19th St. SE, Salem, on June 13 at 5:00 p.m. Both silent and oral auction items will be available. A delicious spaghetti dinner will be prepared by members of the congregation. A rummage sale is also planned for June 19 & 20 at the same location. For information about donations to the auction or rummage sale call 503-362-6626 or email at info@capitalpark.org.

ASK TYSON Where do you GO for passive losses? Try the Gulf Opportunity Zone

The Gulf Opportunity Zone or GO Zone as it is called is located in the states of Louisiana Alabama and Mississippi and was created as a result of the destruction caused by hurricane Katrina. The legislation was passed by congress in 2005 and contained numerous tax incentives for the residents and businesses that resided in the 91 parishes and counties that were affected. Why is this information of value to somebody living in Oregon? I am glad you asked. Without getting into a lot of detail, eligible property purchased in the GO Zone is eligible for a 50 percent additional first year depreciation deduction in the year that the property is placed in service. Now normally, residential rental property is depreciated over 27.5 years and commercial property is depreciated over 39 years. This means that the owner of the property has to wait 39 years before they fully deduct the cost of the non-residential real property. However, for property owners in the GO Zone, they are now able to take half of that depreciation deduction in the first year. In addition to the beneficial depreciation rules, the legislation also expanded the Net Operating Loss (NOL) rules to allow taxpayers to carry losses generated by these additional depreciation deductions back five years instead of the normal two years. So how does this help an Oregonian? Let’s take an example where a taxpayer has

rental income from other sources of $50,000. If that taxpayer purchased eligible property in the GO Zone and the eligible costs were $150,000, than the taxpayer would have $75,000 that could be deductible on their tax return in the current year. That is a substantial savings. If that taxpayer were a real estate professional and the property purchased was of greater value, then they could potentially have substantial losses to carry back and generate refunds of taxes paid in previous years. Does this work you ask? We have seen this work in our office and have generated refunds of tens of thousands of dollars for our clients. Now this strategy will not work for everybody but if you currently have passive income from rental activities, you should consider talking to a knowledgeable professional. To paraphrase The Clash, the question you should be asking yourself is “Should I stay (local with my real estate investments) or should I Go Zone”? hahaha… “To ensure compliance with requirements imposed by the IRS under Circular 230, we inform you that any U.S. Federal tax advice contained in this communication, unless otherwise specifically stated, was not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used, for the purpose of (1) avoiding penalties under the Internal Revenue Code or (2) promoting, marketing, or recommending to another party any matters addressed herein.”

WHERE ARE WE HEADED? and their disciples are abundant, and their goal could be summed up as the eradication of Christianity from the culture. By eradicating Christianity, not only would the family fall and the church become impotent, but capitalism and the free enterprise system that was birthed out of the Protestant Reformation would be destroyed. In 1933, when the Nazis came to power in Germany, many members of the Frankfurt School conveniently found refuge in America at the invitation of Secular Humanist John Dewey, who was on staff at Columbia University in New York. Dewey is best known as the father of modern education in America, honorary president of the National Education Association, and co-author of the Humanist Manifesto I. Dewey saw the opportunity to place these German Marxists at leading colleges and universities around the country. Dewey and his friends specifically targeted the institutions of education and media as the means by which to inculcate their world view into millions of Americans and eventually into

American culture. Dewey had help from Edward R. Murrow in spreading these German Marxists around the nation. In 1934, at the age of 26, Murrow became the Assistant Secretary of the Emergency Committee in Aid of Displaced German Scholars. A few years earlier, in 1932, Murrow had become the Assistant Director of the Institute of International Education (IIE), which was established through a grant from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Murrow was hired by Stephen Duggan, the director of IIE who advised the Soviet government on issues related to their workers' colleges. Duggan was a crusader for the Communist agenda. Murrow also joined the American Russian Institute, which had been founded with the help of John Dewey. The Institute sponsored lectures from individuals such as Anna Louise Strong, a well-known journalist who wrote books defending the Soviet system. Murrow eventually went to work for CBS, where he became the famed newsContinued on page 11

Spirituality

Can Christianity co-exist with Native Spirituality? Not according to First Nation’s citizen and born-again Christian, Nanci Des Gerlaise. “The differences between the two are just too drastic, and the similarities between Native Spirituality and the Occult too close,” says Des Gerlaise. Born on a Métis Settlement in the late 1950’s into a long line of medicine men, Nanci witnessed firsthand the dangers and darkness of Native Spirituality. Following her conversion to Christianity, Des Gerlaise experienced true spiritual freedom, forgiveness, and the discernment that comes from God’s indwelling Holy Spirit. The following chart from her book, Muddy Waters, (Pleasant Word, 2008) details the worldview differences between Biblical truth and Native Spirituality:

WORLDVIEW COMPARISON CHART Biblical Truth vs. Native Spirituality

Biblical Worldview

Creation An infinite, personal creator God has created a real and originally good spiritualmaterial universe that He is involved in and sovereignly controls. Fall of Man Adam and Eve sinned, thus sending humanity and the world into a sinful, fallen state controlled by Satan and subject to death. Nature of Good and Evil God is entirely good and did not create evil. Evil results from rebellion against a perfectly righteous God. We are born into sin and are under His judgment until Christ rescues us. Satan (Lucifer) in his pride wanted to be god and rebelled, but God cast him and his followers out of Heaven. Scripture reveals His moral will. Sin and Redemption Jesus Christ was born in the flesh, was crucified on the cross for our sins, and was resurrected by the Father in Heaven. As believers, we are cleansed of our sins and we share his death and resurrected life. View of Life Life is a line of history that moves toward fulfillment, and the return of Jesus Christ, the new heaven and the new earth. Walk in the light with the Lord Jesus Christ, living for the glory of God and in loving fellowship with one another. God disciplines us to live in holiness and continues to forgive us of our sins as we seek Him. Afterlife Only the born-again servants of the Lord Jesus Christ will live with Him in glory forever, loving, serving, and enjoying Him.

Native Worldview

Creation Many different, unbiblical views of creation exist. Their worship of creation is an earth-based spirituality in which they worship grandfathers, grandmothers, animals and other created beings. Fall of Man Although Native Americans do believe in sin, they don’t understand how or why humanity fell. Nature of Good and Evil They believe there are evil spirits and bad behavior, which must be appeased or controlled. It is basically an animistic worldview with lots of gods and spirits, both good and evil—not fallen angels but evil spirits by nature. Sin and Redemption There is a powerful distortion of Roman Catholic teaching mixed in with Native Spirituality. They view good and evil in much the same way and believe they will get to heaven by doing good works. During a funeral, for instance, Native Americans usually perform some type of ceremony to assist the deceased in entering heaven. No one ever seems to go to hell. Because they do not believe that the cross can redeem them from the punishment due sin, they punish themselves with various attempts at purification. They do not see the evil in relationships with demonic spirits. The sweat lodge represents an individual returning to the womb, suggestive of being born again. A woman’s moon-time suggests blood shedding. View of Life Life is a circle, a cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth represented by the medicine wheel. It includes spiritism, human sacrifices, sweat lodge ceremonies, sweet grass, pipe, sacred or healing ceremonies, witchcraft, sorcery, vision quests, necromancy, and other occult concepts and techniques. Afterlife A wide variety of beliefs exist about life after death, ranging from reincarnation as a human or an animal to people becoming spirits. There are many rituals that attempt to contact spirit ancestors.

Purple Haze vs. Prophetic Speculation

By Craig Myers If you attended a big-city secular university around 1969, as I did, perhaps you remember the purple haze. It usually wasn't visible, though you could frequently smell it drifting through the hallways of the student dorms or the local movie theaters. Sex, drugs, rock 'n roll, and other youthful passions altered our consciousness. We had a hip, rebellious, liberal, and unreal perspective on truth, which thankfully has departed from most of my generation. Tragically, it has been supplemented in younger generations by an even more dangerous and liberal moral relativism. Midway through college, I had the good fortune to find a connection with reality, when I joined the fencing team, which was about half Jesus freaks from Calvary Chapel in nearby Costa Mesa. After meeting Jesus myself, I also met Hal Lindsey, author of The Late Great Planet Earth, a book which I consumed. Now at last, I will get to the point. In the almost 40 years that have elapsed since then, I have remained an avid student of Bible prophecy. If there is one thing that I describe as consistent about speculations on Bible prophecy, it is that they are consistently proven inaccurate with the mere passage of time. Like the six blind men “interpreting” an elephant, all interpreters of contemporary events suffer from a very limited ability to accurately match those events with biblical prophecy. It is even difficult to look back on events long past, and accurately identify them as prophetic milestones, unless the Bible itself matches them for us. I believe the Bible, in its own context, is the best interpreter of itself. In light of all this, I was struck by an insight in the summary of Gary Demar’s new book; Last Days Madness: Obsession of the Modern Church. DeMar states “It’s a subject that many Christians don’t want to talk about. Every time I write about Bible prophecy, some Christians get upset with me. They have no idea the effect that popular prophecy writers are having on their fellow Christians and the condition of our country. Yes, the world is in a mess, but it’s been worse, and it might get worse, but this doesn’t mean that it’s the end. People went nuts because of the “swine flu.” Do you realize that tens of millions of people died in the 14th century because of the plague? You don’t have to go back too far—the 1940s—when the entire world was at war and millions of people died. Millions! In each case, prophecy “experts” claimed the end was around the corner. I have hundreds of books in my library on this subject that made predictions based on the headlines of the day. This preoccupation with the end times motivates anti-Christians to take advantage of the despair and hopelessness. They begin

to take over society. They become culturally optimistic while millions of Christians wait for an end that never comes as promised. I know, today’s prophecy “experts” claim that this time it’s different. How many times have I heard that excuse? That’s why they write a book like The Late Great United States and Jesus is Really Coming Back . . . Soon! If it’s inevitable that the United States is doomed, why bother trying to save it? If Jesus is really coming back soon, then there is no long-time agenda that’s worth working for. The prophecy experts have spoken!” Thanks for this wisdom, Mr. DeMar. I have not shared this as a recommendation for his book or to criticize your favorite prophetic author. My point is that the maze of prophetic speculation easily becomes a Christian’s purple haze, altering our consciousness of God's plan for our lives and seducing us into faithless passivity! From discussions I've had with other Christians, it is evident that many have become apathetic about politics, society, and civic involvement outside of their church. The number of Christian votes that were simply not cast would have easily changed the outcomes of the last two elections, and probably would have saved us from some of the fiscal and social meltdown we are now experiencing. Yet many congregations now believe that speaking of politics from the pulpit is contrary to Scripture or should be avoided because it is not sufficiently “seeker sensitive.” There would surely be no United States, if our forefathers had held such an unBiblical world view. Patrick Henry said, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Daniel Webster - Secretary of State to three presidents said, “Our destruction, if it comes... will be from the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government -- from their carelessness and negligence.” Our holy priorities are God, family, and country. We can be sure that Satan is working in the political realm (thrones, powers, rulers, authorities Col 1:16) to undermine all three, and to thwart God's plan. Satan is eager to persuade Christians that the imminent arrival of Jesus is an excuse for neglecting their civic responsibilities expressed clearly in Eph 6:12 and throughout the Bible. How can we excuse passivity when we have consistently been commanded to have faith, to be courageous, to stand firm, and to trust God? America will be transformed by a new spirit of hope and expectation when tens of millions of Christians act like faithful stewards (read the parable of the stewards) of America’s unique spiritual heritage that God has called us to protect and preserve.

Learning To Host The Presence

By Bill Johnson One of the greatest privileges in life is to learn to be a person that God will rest upon. He already lives in every born again Believer. But He doesn’t rest upon all of us. One way I like to say it is, “He is in me for my sake, but He is upon me for yours.” When He is upon us, it especially changes others around us. Jesus modeled this lifestyle in the story of His baptism in water. When Jesus was baptized, He came out of the water, the Heavens opened, the Father spoke, and then the Holy Spirit came upon Him as a dove and remained. John testified saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of Heaven, and He remained upon Him.” (John 1:32) If, in the natural, I have a dove sitting on my shoulder and I want to go about life without it flying away, how am I going to live? Every step would be with the dove in mind. As we become faithful in learning how to host the presence of the Lord, it is important to understand that there is a tension between two realities: He has been given to us without measure, yet what we enjoy on a daily basis has been “measured” to us according to our faithfulness. In other words, we have access to the unlimited measure of God’s presence, but He doesn’t entrust Himself to untrustworthy people. All of the measurements are set up on our end of the equation. He typically entrusts us with the measure of the presence we are willing to jealously guard. We are to become His resting place—the place from which the exploits of Heaven are accomplished. For when the Lord rests upon a person, there is actually an atmospheric shift that takes place wherever that person goes. How do you think Peter’s shadow healed people? Our shadow will always release whatever overshadows us. When we learn to host the presence of the Lord, we get more

breakthroughs by accident than ever used to happen on purpose. That is a possibility for every Believer every day. One of the conflicts we face in learning to host the presence is sometimes found in the very lessons we learned from the previous seasons. Believe it or not, those principles sometimes war against the actual presence of the Lord upon us. We are to use principles to plan by, but we must learn to live from the presence. And if there’s a conflict between the two, presence always wins out over principle. For example, I may be accustomed to aggressively pursuing the will of God for my life. My key verse might be Matthew 11:12, “and the violent take it by force.” Living by principle has me apply what I have learned up to this point—violent faith. But in this story, the presence of God may be leading me to “receive the Kingdom as a child.” (Luke 18:17) If you live entirely by principles only, you will make assumptions in certain moments and seasons that are entirely based on Scripture, but they will be in conflict with the Spirit. In this example, both violent faith and childlike faith are Biblical. It is the Holy Spirit who knows how we are to respond in each particular season or in a given situation. We are supposed to be well-grounded in what God has said so we can discern what He is saying. It is the presence of God that gives me access to continuous ongoing faith, because faith comes by hearing, not having heard. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17) Learning to host the presence of God provides the atmosphere of the heart where faith becomes natural and normal. Let’s commit ourselves to become the resting place of God.

Line-in-the-Sand Tour

R.O.A.R (Reviving Oregon’s Amazing Roots) is planning their Line-in-the-Sand Oregon Sesquicentennial Tour with 38 patriotic celebrations in 36 county seats, begining June 2nd in Vale - Malheur County. This tour celebrates Oregon’s 150 years of Statehood and preserves the treasure of Oregon’s Chrisitan and Patriotic Heritage. Aaron Auer and John Sutton are desiring to change the spiritual climate by proclaiming the declaration of Oregon’s ministers and statesmen. The following is an excerpt from that declaration:

“We the preachers of the great state of Oregon, for the purpose of commemorating the placement of the famous “Circuit Rider” statue, do solemnly declare:” “For the cause of ‘Reviving Oregon’s Amazing Roots,’ with the inspiration of the patriarchs and our patriotism, “seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,” do gladly and voluntarily, consecrate our lives and involve ourselves by all means necessary, with pure devotion, for the purpose of uniting on the common grounds of our Core values, in order to Defend and preserve the sanctity of life, the life of the unborn, and the sanctity of biblical traditional marriage, being held as “honourable in all,” since the creation of man. We do endeavor with All Grace and “Blessings of Heaven” and with deep conviction of heart, without respect of persons or compromise for conscience sake, as “we are commanded in the Royal Law’ “thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself.” We hold to these fundamental truths and we acknowledge His Sovereign Hand supernaturally and miraculously leading and guiding us, even in the affairs of men, godly and ungodly, just and unjust, to this very hour.”

favorite "No Help Wanted," and I suggest that Republicans still retain the capacity to follow the wisdom of that song. 2. Civic Virtue As citizens of this country we have consented to be governed. However, we have only so consented within the limitations and protections of the Constitution; and no further. We are a nation of laws. Government, and the people who administer government, are not immune from the laws imposed upon the citizens. 3. Limited Government This doctrine was specifically laid out in

the writings of our Founding Fathers as being crucial to liberty. Yes, there are additional principles, as well as sub-principles. However, the three I have noted seem to me to adequately provide the guidance we require. Finally, it is important to note that these basic Republican Principles are rejected by the leadership of the Democrat Party and its socialist allies. The choice is there for each of us.

Letter to the Editor Why being a Republican Matters

It seems strange in this time of world upheaval, domestic economic crisis, and looming increases in taxation, regulation, and diminution of our freedoms, that some Republicans would be questioning their association with the Republican Party. Stranger yet is a seeming loss of recollection of what Republicanism stands for, and what it offers as an alternative. My personal endeavors to impart a renewed energy and strength to the Republican philosophy begins with a simple definition: Republicans are dedicated to conserve, to protect, and to perpetuate the principles decreed by our Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the

United States Constitution. "Principles," and by extension, actionable principles, are at the heart of this definition. The following three principles are singled out to illustrate that there are no current issues that cannot be addressed by one or more of them. 1. Self-reliance In my opinion we are rapidly becoming a society with a slave mentality. We are becoming so reliant on our governments to solve all of life's problems that we are no longer capable of solving them ourselves. Or so it would seem. I am reminded of a past Country Western

So the King planned appointed times each year: special times for celebrations to tell the stories of His deeds to the people's children and to glorify the King. The King wrote the instructions of how to observe the celebrations in a book called the Book of Wisdom. For many years the people enjoyed these celebrations. Each year they would learn more about their King and feel closer to Him. They realized the King's celebrations were not only to tell stories of the things the King had done for His people in the past, but also foreshadows of more fine things the King was planning to do for them in the future. There was another kingdom that did not worship the King. They worshiped objects such as statues, animals, trees, and the sun. In this other kingdom, the people practiced several different annual parties that glorified the people and the objects instead of the King. Each party had a different theme. In some they dressed up like animals and other beings. In some they decorated their homes and gave gifts to each other. Then a man from this other kingdom visited the King's kingdom and told the people the annual parties were much more fun than the King's celebrations. Some of the people wanted to continue celebrating the ceremonies that worshiped the King. Other people wanted to replace the special celebrations with the new celebrations. Through the years people started to combine both sets of celebrations. They

would practice the annual parties, meant to worship objects such as statues, animals, trees, and the sun, but they would say that they were worshipping the King, not the object, so everyone would be happy. They changed the appointed times of the King's celebrations to new times that coincided with the annual parties. The people of both kingdoms were combining so many traditions that no one could tell that there were two kingdoms. The kingdoms blended into each other. This continued for many years until the most recent generations forgot the celebrations that the King planned that glorified the King and His wonderful deeds for the people. One day a man was reading the Book of Wisdom. He came across a little known chapter that told about the King's appointed times each year: special times for celebrations to tell the stories of His deeds to the people's children and to glorify the King. He was so excited! He went to tell the people about the wonderful celebrations. This made the people very angry. They felt that the man was condemning them for traditions that they had innocently done all their lives. They did not understand. The man was sad, but he decided to keep the King's celebrations in his own family. The man's family learned much about the King. In fact, each year the man and his family grew closer and closer to the King because of the wonderful stories they learned about during the celebrations. The man and his family learned that the King had special secrets that revealed foreshadows of more fine things the King was planning to do for them. That man wanted so much to share these stories with others. Even though the man was continually rejected, he continued to tell about the King's celebrations. After a while, a few other families (who had always felt uncomfortable about the annual parties they kept) listened to the man. They read the chapter in the Book of Wisdom and also got excited. Soon many people returned to celebrating the King's appointed times, worshipping and telling stories about the King. This made the King very happy! From www.biblicalholidays.com, by permission

higher education. Stanford eliminated its long-standing Western civilization requirement in 1988 and replaced it with a multicultural program known as "Cultures, Ideas, and Values." Under this new program, freshman at Stanford can just as easily study Marxist revolutionaries in Central America as they can Plato, Shakespeare or Newton. Because elite institutions such as Stanford set an example for the rest of American higher education, other universities eagerly adopt these devastating assaults on the curriculum. This "trickle-down" effect will have a long-lasting impact on the way future generations of Americans will be educated. One distinguished scholar recently lamented that

"higher education is increasingly about acquiring attitudes and opinions that one puts on like a uniform." The best way to combat political correctness is to expose it for what it really is -- Cultural Marxism. Equally important in defeating this anti-Christian, anti-American worldview is to not comply with its mandates. Call homosexuality what it is -- sin. Expose feminism for what it is -- anti-family and anti-father. Expose tolerance as moral relativism and intolerance toward those who don't conform to their dictates of tolerance. “HEBREW”

Word of the Month

By Brad Scott The word 'Hebrew' is one of several Hebrew words that cannot be translated, such as sabbath, pesach, or YHVH. In the Hebrew, it is written as 'iveriy. The word has been described by Jewish and Christian theologians as the word for 'crossing over,' as in Avraham crossing from Mesopotamia to Canaan. A Hebrew, as Avraham was first called, is one who makes the decision to go from one existence to a new or changed condition, and not like the condition left behind. This word is also the word for a successful conception, or literally the passing of semen. (Iyov 21:10) As we peer into our modern microscopes, we can now see what YHVH created and saw in the beginning, a sperm or 'seed' leaving its familiar surroundings in search for that perfect egg. This word is also seen as a raft or a ferry, used to get from one side of the river to the other. (2 Sh'mu'el 19:18) The idea behind the word is

to leave behind the old life, go beyond where you are, and to multiply once you get there. The true children of Avraham are those who leave behind their old life and take upon themselves a new one, guided and directed by the same source of life that Avraham had. Remember that the very first principle given to ALL the living creation, was that like kind would produce like kind. Avraham went from being a Gentile, to being a Hebrew by faith. All the true seed of Avraham are those who also 'cross over.' It is more than interesting to see the clear relationship between those who 'cross over' and the conception of seed. Israel is the seed of Avraham and there is only one seed, the seed of the woman. Yesha'yahu 41:8 "But thou, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the SEED of Avraham, my friend." Shalom Alecheim!

WHERE ARE WE HEADED? caster. Murrow is perhaps best known for using his broadcasts to destroy U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy who was investigating the infiltration of Communists into education, media, and Hollywood. McCarthy had personality quirks that made him an easy target for marginalization, yet many experts now admit that McCarthy was correct in his view that Communists had infiltrated American education and the media. Of course, Murrow knew this to be true because he assisted in bringing many of these Marxists to America and dropping them into influential positions. To the discerning and informed American it becomes clear why Murrow was out to destroy McCarthy before he could uncover the anti-American agenda of Dewey, Murrow, and their friends. One of the men whom Murrow brought to America from the Frankfurt School was Herbert Marcuse. The phrase "make love, not war" that was shouted during the counter-culture revolution of the 1960s was coined by Marcuse. The student rebels of the 1960s implemented the strategies laid out by Marcuse in his writings. Marcuse was greatly influenced by the writings

of Italian Communist Antonio Gramsci. The student leaders of the 1960s were encouraged by Marcuse's cultural revolution statements such as: “One can rightfully speak of a cultural revolution, since the protest is directed toward the whole cultural establishment; including the morality of existing society…. there is one thing we can say with complete assurance. The traditional idea of revolution and the traditional strategy of revolution has ended. These ideas are old-fashioned…what we must undertake is a type of diffuse and dispersed disintegration of the system." Many of the anti-American, flag burning, pot-smoking, pagan spiritualists of the counter cultural revolution are now college and university presidents, professors, and American textbook authors. T. Kenneth Cribb, Jr. wrote in a research paper entitled "Political Correctness in Higher Education" that: “Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the Politically Correct assault on the curriculum is that it has occurred at many of America's elite universities. Swine Flu and Swine Food The truth about unclean animals

By Daniel Rendelman

Fear recently gripped the world as an outbreak of swine flu spread from Mexico City to Hong Kong. In the hometown of Emet Ministries, this sickness has been the talk of the town as 16 cases of the virus have been linked to a private school whose students tested positive for the bug after a trip to Cancun. Meat products from South Carolina were banned from Russia and Egypt slaughtered over 300,000 pigs as a precaution to limit an outbreak. Thousands of years before the H1N1 virus scare, the Bible classified the pig as an unclean animal and unfit for human consumption. Noah was told fill the ark with seven pairs of all clean beasts and two pairs of the unclean in Genesis 7:2. Biblically, a distinction was made between clean animals, like chicken and cows, and unclean animals. The need for more clean animals on the ark shows that these would have been used for food and sacrificial worship. The need for less unclean animals on the boat was because these animals reproduce quickly in liters and wouldn’t have been considered as “food” for Noah and his family. A pig is unclean for many reasons including the fact that it will eat anything, yet the animal lacks the proper digestive system to release poison from its body. Thus, the swine’s sickness can be easily transferred to the person who eats the animal. Worms, called enzymes, also live inside the blood stream of swine and can be easily passed to humans. Such is also the case for shrimp, lobsters, vultures, and other scavengers. It is true that swine produce very little sweat from their skin. The inability to perspire keeps waste stored inside their body. The Center for Disease Control states that H1N1 cannot be caught from eating swine. Yet, there are no less than seventy different

types of diseases including trichinosis that can be caused by eating pork. The scriptures call the pig an “abomination” that should not even be touched. Mainstream Christianity teaches that the dietary laws of the Old Testament have been superseded by the New Testament. One misunderstood passage about this subject is Acts 10:9-19. In these verses Peter is said to have been extremely hungry. He is also confused about the acceptance of the Gentile believers. He then has a vision about various four-footed creatures. Peter is told to slaughter and eat as all are now made clean. When the vision concludes, Peter doesn’t eat barbeque pork. Instead, he understands that the vision is not about unclean foods but unclean people. He proclaims, in Acts 10:28, "You know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but the LORD has showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean." Another verse of confusion is found in the New International Version of Mark 7:19, “For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.") Here, the Savior is speaking about the tradition of religious hand washing. The words in parenthesis are found in most modern translations but not in the King James Version Bible. Nor are the parenthetical words found in the oldest manuscripts of the New Testament. This commentary was added by Bible translators in an attempt to free people from the dietary laws of Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. Regardless of such confusion, the precepts of the Bible are eternal. With or without the H1N1 virus, the pig was unclean for Noah and is still unclean today.

Thought for the Week "We have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Yeshua, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh." (Hebrews 10:19-20) This powerful truth, however, leaves us in the hazardous position of trivializing the awesome holiness and terror of almighty God. We must not allow this spiritual privilege of direct access to the Father to diminish our reverence for Him. Commentary He shall put the incense on the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the ark of the testimony, otherwise he will die. (Leviticus 16:13) The Day of Atonement is a day for coming face to face with God. In a spiritual sense, we are to regard ourselves on that day as if we are standing in the Holy of Holies, face to face with the Almighty. On the day of Yom Kippur, the high priest came face to face with God. That is why he first brought incense into the Holy of Holies. The purpose of the incense was to create a cloud of smoke so he would not see the ark of the covenant and die. In this world, even our closest encounters with God are veiled and obscured. Paul says that "now we see in a mirror dimly." (1 Corinthians 13:12) He was referring to a brass mirror. Though it provided a reflection, it was not a sharp, clear reflection like modern mirrors provide. If the brass was not freshly polished, the reflection in the mirror became more dim.

Remembering that we do not see God clearly should help keep us humble. It should make us reluctant to criticize other people's theologies and their experiences with God. They may have perceived an aspect of the Almighty that we have not, or we may have found revelation that has been withheld from them. Neither of us is to be blamed for not seeing the whole picture. In this world, the whole picture is not available. Yeshua told the theologians of His day, "You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form." (John 5:37) That is why a true appreciation for the greatness of God excludes religious arrogance. The Apostle Paul exclaimed, "Now I know [only] in part, but then I will know fully." (1 Corinthians 13:12) Nobody on this side of the veil has apprehended absolute truth. "No one has seen God at any time," (John 1:18) the Apostle John said. Nevertheless, John goes on to say that the only begotten Son of God has revealed Him. Yeshua says, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9) By clinging to Yeshua of Nazareth, we are spiritually carried with Him into the Holy of Holies. In Him we have a hope of sharing in the resurrection from the dead that He experienced. Paul reminds us that after the resurrection from the dead, we will see "face to face." In that day, we will step into the Holy of Holies of the true sanctuary, and there will be no cloud of smoke obscuring our view. We will see face to face. 1 Corinthians 13:12. www.FFOZ.com

Bible Reading Marathon! Sign-up NOW!! Go to www.oregonbrm.com 2009 marks the 10th anniversary of the Oregon Bible Reading Marathon! And being in its 10th year, it is still the earnest desire of the Oregon BRM to expose our community to the powerful Word of God! The Oregon BRM was originally inspired in the year 2000 by missionary and pastor, Vadim Kovalev. Vadim is a resident of Salem who spends most of his time as a minister to his home country of Latvia. Vadim was compelled to organize the Oregon BRM after he learned about the Bible reading marathon held each year Washington D.C. The Washington D.C. BRM is a long-running annual event that has been held on the steps of our Nation’s Capitol since 1990. As an immigrant from Latvia, Vadim was

drawn to this idea because at one time such freedoms were severely oppressed in his home county by Communism. However, as a Christian in the United States, he could now freely express his love for God without fear of punishment or penalty. Vadim saw the Bible Reading Marathon as an act of appreciation and thankfulness to God for such freedom. Vadim recognized how a Bible Reading Marathon would serve well as a public reminder to us each year of what we need most in our lives and the life of our Nation - God’s truth as revealed to us in His Son, Jesus Christ. It was also a tremendous joy to Vadim to think how a Bible Reading Marathon could unite Christians from all over our community and state as we meet in one place to pray for our Nation, State and communities.

faith and politics faith and politics Adult Stem Cell Therapies Trump Embryonic Ones

By Chuck Missler First he rescinded the Mexico City Policy, which prevented US tax dollars from paying for abortions overseas. Now, as promised, President Obama has declared that the federal government will allow funding for embryonic stem-cell research. This reverses the Bush Administration's policy of protecting human embryos from being created and then destroyed in the name of science. In the meanwhile, scientists have had increasing success in developing cures that use adult stem-cells, with much less ethical controversy. Embryonic stem-cell (ESC) research never completely went away; private companies have been laboring away with funding from investors. Government agencies were unable to continue research due to lack of federal funding, but that did not stop private biotech companies from pursuing ESC. Days after President Obama was sworn into office, the FDA gave a go-ahead for the first clinical trial of a drug made with embryonic stem-cells. On January 23, the California biotechnology company Geron was cleared to start a clinical trial to re-grow damaged spinal cord tissue using stem-cells from human embryos. Now that federal funding is available, this type of research promises to take off. The stock in several stem-cell research companies shot up at Obama's announcement on Monday, many jumping between 20 and 48 percent. In the past absence of federal funding, though, many stem-cell companies began to focus on developing therapies using adult stem-cells. Researchers at Lindner Research Center at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati will start a trial treatment on a diabetic patient using stem-cells from adult bone marrow. Physicians sponsored by Osirus Therapeutics will determine whether the patient's pancreas is healed through use of Prochymal, a medication made of adult mesenchymal stem-cells. People have been treated overseas with adult stem-cell therapies for years. Dr. Howard Lindeman had adult stem-cell therapy to repair his heart after a heart attack. "I had the procedure done and since then, I've just been getting better and better and better. I'm going to be 58-years-old in May and I'm on my way to being 35 again," he said at a stem-cell seminar in Naples, Florida. Embryonic stem-cell research, on the other hand, has some serious problems. A purely practical concern is that embryonic stem-cell therapy can have serious side effects. The potential for tumors with fast-growing embryonic stem-

cells is well known. Adult stem-cells may be more difficult to coax into becoming heart or pancreas cells, but they also have a much lower chance of causing tumors in already-ill patients. "The use of ASC requires a different thinking, but they can be as effective as ESC, if not more," argues stem-cell scientist Christian Drapeau. "ASC do not grow easily in vitro and they are not easy to re-program. But there are ways of using ASC that can be just as effective as methods using ESC, without the risk of tumor formation." Another problem with embryonic stemcell therapy is immune rejection. Whereas adult stem-cells can come from a patient's own body, and therefore be accepted easily, embryonic stem-cells are somebody else's body and run the risk of being rejected by the immune system. The most serious difficulty with ESC research and therapy, however, is that it destroys human embryos for their stem-cells. Even if the treatment could eventually cure terrible diseases, it would always have a serious ethical and moral price-tag attached. The fact that US taxpayers will now be funding the research has upset a large number of Americans: "President Obama's executive order to federally fund experimentation on embryonic human lives certainly represents change: For the first time in our nation's history, citizens will now be required to participate in killing embryonic human lives for research," said Michael Janocik, assistant director of the Right to Life Educational Foundation of Kentucky. Criticism also came from the Legislative Branch. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) said in a statement, "With this announcement, the government is, for the first time, incentivizing the creation and destruction of human embryos at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer." Many scientists and patients are rejoicing at President Obama's executive order in the name of funding research that might save lives. Yet, funding the treatment of human embryos as a disposable 'therapy' is bad policy, especially when there are available alternatives that do not depend on the destruction of human life. "Adult stem-cells are showing great promise," notes Christian Drapeau. "This is a very very important area of research right now and people must realize that Embryonic stem-cells are not the only stem-cell phenomenon out there."

ISLAM --

NOT A RELIGION! IT’S ALL CONSUMING!

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components. Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well. Here's how it works. As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in: United States -- Muslim 0.6% Australia -- Muslim 1.5% Canada -- Muslim 1.9% China -- Muslim 1.8% Italy -- Muslim 1.5% Norway -- Muslim 1.8% At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in: Denmark -- Muslim 2% Germany -- Muslim 3.7% United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7% Spain -- Muslim 4% Thailand -- Muslim 4.6% From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in: France -- Muslim 8% Philippines -- Muslim 5% Sweden -- Muslim 5% Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3% The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5% Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8% At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world. When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and

results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in: Guyana -- Muslim 10% India -- Muslim 13.4% Israel -- Muslim 16% Kenya -- Muslim 10% Russia -- Muslim 15% After reaching 20%, nations can expect hairtrigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in: Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8% At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in: Bosnia -- Muslim 40% Chad -- Muslim 53.1% Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7% From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in: Albania -- Muslim 70% Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4% Qatar -- Muslim 77.5% Sudan -- Muslim 70% After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in: Bangladesh -- Muslim 83% Egypt -- Muslim 90% Gaza -- Muslim 98.7% Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1% Iran -- Muslim 98% Iraq -- Muslim 97% Jordan -- Muslim 92% Morocco -- Muslim 98.7% Pakistan -- Muslim 97% Palestine -- Muslim 99% Syria -- Muslim 90% Tajikistan -- Muslim 90% Turkey -- Muslim 99.8% United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96% 100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in: Afghanistan -- Muslim 100% Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100% Somalia -- Muslim 100% Yemen -- Muslim 100% Continued on page 14

Islam is not a religion: continued from page 13 Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons. 'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris, 'The Haj.' It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos.

There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate. Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century. Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

Hezbollah uses Mexico’s drug routes into U.S.

Ben Conery contributed to this report.

According to an exclusive report by Washington Times reporter Sara A. Carter on March 27, the Islamic terrorist organization Hezbollah is using the same narcotics routes that Mexican drug lords use to smuggle drugs and people into the United States. According to current and former U.S. law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism officials, Hezbollah is using the drug routes to finance its operations, thereby threatening U.S. national security. Hezbollah relies on "the same criminal weapons smugglers, document traffickers and transportation experts as the drug cartels," said Michael Braun, who just retired as assistant administrator and chief of operations at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The DEA thinks that 60 percent of terrorist organizations have some ties with the illegal narcotics trade, according to agency spokesman Garrison Courtney. “South American drug cartels were forced into developing stronger alliances with Mexican syndicates when the U.S. closed off access from the Caribbean 15 years ago,” Mr. Braun said. “Mexico's transit routes now account for more than 90 percent of t h e c o c a i n e e n t e r i n g t h e U . S . . The emphasis on Mexico intensified after the Sept. 11 attacks, when beefed-up U.S. security measures greatly reduced access to the U.S. by air and water,” he said. Two U.S. law enforcement officers, familiar with counterterrorism operations in the U.S. and Latin America, said that "it was no surprise" that Hezbollah members have entered the U.S. border through drug cartel transit routes. "The Mexican cartels have no loyalty to anyone," one of the officials told The Washington Times. "They will willingly or unknowingly aid other nefarious groups into

the U.S. through the routes they control. It has already happened. That's why the border is such a serious national security issue." Although there have been no confirmed cases of Hezbollah moving terrorists across the Mexico border to carry out attacks in the United States, Hezbollah members and supporters have entered the country this way. One U.S. counterterrorism official confirmed that the U.S. is watching closely the links between Hezbollah and drug cartels and said it is "not a good picture." Carter’s report went on to say that Braun’s comments were confirmed by six U.S. officials, including law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism specialists. They spoke on the condition that they not be named because of the sensitivity of the topic. Adm. James G. Stavridis, commander of U.S. Southern Command and the nominee to head NATO troops as Supreme Allied Commander-Europe, testified before the House Armed Services Committee that the nexus between illicit drug trafficking "including routes, profits, and corruptive influence" and "Islamic radical terrorism" is a growing threat to the U.S. A senior U.S. defense official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of ongoing operations in Latin America, warned that al Qaeda also could use trafficking routes to infiltrate operatives into the U.S. "If I have the money to do it - I want to get somebody across the border - that's a way to do it," the defense official said. "Especially foot soldiers. Somebody who's willing to come and blow themselves up. It’s sort of hard to do that kind of recruiting, training and development in Kansas City."

America is not A Christian Nation An Apology For America?

By Rev. Wayne Perryman

I was quite upset when I heard our President, who is also a Constitutional Law professor, tell the Turkey citizens that “America was not a Christian Nation.” When he was studying constitutional law, didn’t they teach him anything about the case The church of the Holy Trinity v. The United States, where the United States Supreme Court ruled on February 29, 1892, that America, was a “Christian nation?” A quick review of the case will tell us that Holy Trinity hired a new pastor from England and the U.S. Attorney General said the church violated immigration laws which prohibited the hiring of individuals from other countries. When the case reached the United States Supreme Court, the court held that the law did not pertain to religious situations, and that America was a “Christian nation.” In writing the majority opinion and reaching the conclusion that America was a “Christian nation,” Justice David Josiah Brewer did not merely review the merits of this case, he took under consideration the entire history of the making of our nation - going back to Christopher Columbus and the religious heritage of our founding fathers. Obama knew this when he made that statement. He also knew that in that opinion, Justice Brewer recognized the words of our Declaration of Independence which says that we are “endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” It was clear to the court that this nation was established on Christian principles. A Professor of Constitutional Law like Obama should have known this. Obama should have told the Turkish government that he recognized the significant role that Turkey has played in the Bible in that Paul wrote to the early Christian churches that were located in Turkey and that their mountain, Mt. Ararat, was the mountain the Bible states is where Noah’s Ark landed. He ignored these truths and came home and held a Jewish ceremony in the White House for Passover, even though he had not attended a Christian church since being elected as President of the United States ( in 11 weeks). The President, told Muslims that we are not at war with Islam. Instead, he should have reminded them it was our country with little help from any other countries that sent our young men and women to Bosnia to stop the ethnic cleansing that killed a multitude of Muslims. Then our President apologized for America’s arrogance. Apologize for what!? 1. Apologize because we sent our young soldiers ages 17-20 to die for their freedom? 2. Apologize because in return, we

asked not to run their nation, but only asked for enough dirt to bury our sons? 3. Apologize because these young men never had the chance to experience the American Dream because they were fighting for their dream? 4. Apologize because our taxpayers funded the fight for their freedom with our tax dollars? 5. Apologize because thousands of black soldiers who fought for their freedom came home but were denied those same freedoms in states and towns that were controlled by Democrats? 6. Apologize because after the war, we took the tax money from our citizens, including those black veterans who were denied those same freedoms at home, to rebuild Europe under the Marshall Plan. At the same time, poor blacks in the south and poor whites in the Appalachian region (coal miners) lived in one room shacks with no running water and outdoor toilets? America never said we were perfect, but how many times have other countries sent their young men and women to fight and die on our behalf? How many times have they used their tax money to rebuild our cities and towns while their people lived in one room shacks with outdoor toilets and no running water? How many times have their veterans returned home from fighting for our freedom only to find that their government cut the funding for their benefits? We are not a Christian nation? Why do we have three national holidays that when originally instituted they were based on our Christian faith (Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter – Good Friday on the east coast). Why do we have so many social programs initiated by Christian organizations that reach out to the rest of the world (Red Cross, Salvation Army, YMCA and a multitude of mission organizations), spending billions of dollars to help others in the name of Christ? Why do we acknowledge the life and death of Jesus Christ on every important document, including our currency, in years of AD and BC? Was it an accident that we placed “In God We Trust” on that currency? Why didn’t Congress object when we added the words “One nation under God” to our Pledge of Allegiance? Then, the President said it was not so long ago that a person who looked like him could not vote in America. What he should have said, was that not long ago a person who looked like him could not vote in states that were controlled by Democrats. Blacks have been voting in America since March 30, 1870 with the passage of the 15th Amendment (an Amendment introduced, sponsored and supported by Republicans). It was only in the South (which was controlled by Democrats) that blacks were denied the right to vote. That’s why the Voting Rights Act of 1965 specifically mentioned the states they were targeting with that law - and all of those states were controlled by Democrats and it was the Democrats from those states that adamantly opposed the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Sorry if I sound angry, but I am.
