of JBER
Alicia Bowens
Hometown: Denver, CO
Occupation: Assistant Director of Information Technology 773d Force Support Squadron
What is your role?
How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time relaxing. Whether it be enjoying food and drinks with friends and family or spending some quiet time at home.
I’ve been with FSS since July 2022. I transitioned from being an Air Reserve Technician to straight civil service. I’m the Assistant Director of the NAF IT Office. I perform supervisory and Information Technology duties related to the management of Air Force Nonappropriated Funds point-of-sales and Air Force Services Activity business systems on JBER.
What is your favorite activity on JBER?
Tubing at Hillberg Ski Lodge, Arts & Crafts, and Skeet.
Fun fact about yourself?
I love deep sea fishing! Last summer was the first time I went deep sea fishing in Alaska. I caught halibut, salmon, rockfish, and cod. I even caught a stingray (I didn’t keep it).
What are you looking forward to most in your (new) role? Career broadening experience as I transition from the military to civilian life.
What is your favorite thing to do this time of year?
Enjoy springtime and sunshine
