I was sure that if Jasmine came back, she would be ready to conquer the music world again.
’’ It’s been now almost 2 years since the last release of our fan magazine. Jasmine took a whole year off from her music and everything was on hold. To be honest it was a pretty long time for me and I guess for a lot of fans too but I was sure that if Jasmine came back, she would be ready to conquer the music world again. Jasmine is back together with her brand new ‘colour’ EP—a fivetrack masterpiece. ‘colour’ was written and produced together with Eg White.

Jasmine poured all of her energy into it and you can here it in her EP. With Jasmine is also the JasMag back and we have again lots of exclusives for you: • An interview with Jasmine about her time off and why she decided to come back; • All of the lyrics from Jasmine’s ‘colour’ EP • Lots of new and unreleased photos. I think I am a lot happier than I used to be, taking a break from music really helped.’’
| Q: Hey Jasmine, how are you doing? | A: I’m doing well, thank you. It’s been a busy few weeks making videos for my new EP Colour. I am excited. I can’t wait to hear what you think. | Q: It’s been a while since our last li’l Q&A. You took a year off from music and the industry. Could you please explain us fans why you decided to quit everything? | A: It was a difficult period. I felt less connec-

How was it to serve food and drinks to strangers and why you choose this job? | A: I was in a Carnaby Street pie and mash shop with my mates. I got chatting with the owner, attempted to compliment the food and accidentally applied for a job. I said I’d work here just so I ►

could eat the food every day. She asked if I had any waitressing experience or a CV. I had neither. But I was about to turn 17 in a week. I got the job. It was an incredible experience working in a busy restaurant. I didn’t mess up too many things except for knocking a full jug of water down the stairs. | Q: What was the point for you to say ‘I’m coming back to music’? | A: One day my creaky old laptop looked like it was about to die, so I started moving all my stuff onto an external hard drive, and I found

a folder of songs I hadn’t finished. With fresh ears, I could hear something in them that I really liked. And they were all from sessions I had with Eg White. I asked if I could have one last session to finish one of these songs. One last session became several months of sessions. Eventually, as a body of work started to take shape and I was ready to get back to music. I gave up the waitressing. | Q: You are now back with your new ‘colour’ EP and your fans are really happy about it. What can we expect from your new
EP and which song is the one that you are most connected to? | A: The EP is filled with songs that I have really poured all of my energy into. It’s filled with musicality and my personality as well, I think it will really show everyone what is going on inside my head. I think my favourite song on the EP is ‘More,’ it starts of really moody and dark, but starts to grow into this positive outlook on life. There is also a little secret song at the end of the track called ‘A Song,’ this is my favourite, it really ►
