For more than 85 years , Notre Dame High School has responded to the mission of Jesus and the charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame by empowering young women to become confident, compassionate Christian leaders. Each student is guided to reach the fullness of her potential and to use her gifts to make a difference in the world around her. As a sponsored ministry of the SSND, with whom we also share a campus, the foundation of our mission is reinforced as students have a chance to serve alongside them.
Notre Dame strives to educate our students to integrate lifelong learning , faith and service into their lives. Our service program, campus ministry activities and global trips allow our young women an opportunity to experience other cultures and advocate for social justice in our community.
The NDHS mission and spirit remains in each of our young women after they leave our halls. We pride ourselves on the family-like atmosphere and bonds of sisterhood that our 8,500+ alumnae have created since our founding. It’s not just four years, it’s for life!

Notre Dame High School offers young women an individualized approach to education through student-centered differentiated instruction. This approach challenges students to take increased responsibility for learning and offers them a start to collegiate success . Our academic program is true college prep on a high school campus. Students attend regular classes on a flexible modular schedule with teachers providing engaging instruction and learning. They also participate in small group discussions, apply knowledge and skills in labs and studios and have daily opportunities for independent study, research and cooperative learning (team) assignments. By giving students autonomy, they increase their self-confidence and learn to take responsibility for their continuous lifelong learning in college and career.
In following our student-centered approach, Notre Dame believes that all ability levels and interests should be met in our curriculum and course offerings. At every grade level, she has the opportunity to select courses that fit her individual needs and passions. The core subjects are set for each year, but there is flexibility when choosing electives and pursuing college credits. NDHS’s dynamic learning environment also allows for students who may excel in certain areas to take advanced or honors courses. She has the freedom to choose her academic experience at Notre Dame!
NDHS follows a 6-day cycle
Notre Dame High School’s modular schedule is a true college schedule paired with the safety net of a high school.
NDHS students are able to cultivate skills in time management, organization and self-advocacy — skills that they will use in college and beyond!
A regular day is made of 28 mods, 15 minutes each
The use of unstructured mods throughout the day teaches students how to be responsible for their time . It maximizes their education without compromising their opportunity to participate in activities outside of school, such as athletics or work.
Activity Period is for club meetings, lunch or homework
When they are not in class, Notre Dame students know to use their open time to work on homework, see a teacher for help, meet with a small group or take a test.
When they go on to college, they are able to plan their day more successfully than their peers — they have had the same set-up for the last four years!

A hallmark of NDHS since the 1970s
Ensures individual attention for each young woman
Cultivates a close student-faculty relationship
Student and advisor meet every 6 days
For nearly 50 years , the hallmark of Notre Dame High School has been our Advisor Program . We believe that each student is a unique person — and her interests should be put first .
Every student is paired with an academic advisor who she meets with once per cycle (once every six school days) to review grades, assignments and future tasks. The advisor also checks in on her social and emotional well-being . Creating this close student-faculty relationship is an integral component in our education process. Each young woman knows she has someone that will advocate for her and help her reach the fullness of her potential . The Advisor Program reinforces our commitment to individual attention and ensures that every young woman has a place at NDHS!
In addition to our Advisor Program, Notre Dame High School has an active Guidance & Counseling Department. They provide academic, career and personal support to each student at NDHS. Their resources include an on-site clinical therapist that is no cost to our students. An experienced Learning Consultant also helps ensure that student’s individual needs and learning styles are met.
Notre Dame has created. She has felt love and support from day one. We can truly see a difference! She loves that the staff is approachable and committed to her growth.
Notre Dame embraces her differences and sees her more clearly. Notre Dame sees her potential. Notre Dame feeds her development. Notre Dame sees her .

At Notre Dame High School, our students benefit from our small , close-knit community. Each young woman has a chance to explore her interests and discover her passions . She doesn’t have to be an academic, an athlete or an artist — ND girls have a chance to do-it-all . It is not uncommon for our students to play a sport, perform on the stage and be on the executive board of a club while also taking electives such as 3D Design and World Foods.
Notre Dame provides an environment where young women can build their confidence and become leaders for life . There is something for everyone here and we encourage each student to participate in any opportunity that will create an experience at NDHS that is truly customized for them.
Follow the star which has arisen in you; it will certainly lead you to Jesus.
