old while visiting family in Austin. Today, Barton Springs still attracts a diverse crowd of people and has seen record setting numbers of visitors nearing 800,000 in recent years. The pool is closed to the public from 9a-7p every Thursday to allow for the vigorous and methodical cleaning methods required to help maintain the pool area for wildlife and guests alike. Depths of the pool range from 0’ to 18’ with surrounding grassy areas for patrons to lounge upon. http://www.austintexas.gov/department/barton-springs-pool Enjoy the show

With winter slowly ebbing away and spring wildflowers imminent, it’s a good time to start day dreaming about summer fun. One of the best ways to treat yourself and your family this summer is to make sure you put July 23-25 on your calendar to trek to Austin for the 2020 Crossroads TPGA Propane Expo & Conference. You’ll enjoy continuing education and networking, along with attending the always-important Expo. And we won’t tell anyone that you’re having fun. We’ll call it “work”! Texans know the drill about July and August. It’s hot. No way around it. You might be lucky and get a temperate day. But you probably won’t have three in a row. Robert Redford learned to swim at the pool when he was five years

We probably shouldn’t tell you about this. It’s an Austin tradition. But if you come to convention, you’ll be here during the Zilker Summer Musical. Since 1959, every summer features a different musical on a hill in Zilker Park. They haven’t yet announced the 2020 show, but you can keep an eye on it at zilker.org. It’s old school. You sit on your blanket or short chairs (or you can rent chairs) and your admission is tossed into a can that is brought around by cast during intermission. But don’t let the simplicity fool you. They are great shows, with talents that have gone on to Broadway. Local tip: if it’s really hot, go take a dip in Barton Springs before the show and get your core body temperature down. You’ll be surprised how cool it will keep you. http://zilker.org/ Go see a Gutenberg
