A Leadership Alliance at The Worship Center: It Was Intentional! By Interfaith Gazette Staff From around the country they came, they basked, they sought after, they shared and did not spare, and the rest is history. The Worship Center was Host to many Men and Women of God who came in to celebrate with and sit at the feet of Bishop Patricia McKinstry and other Men of God for two days to be poured into and hear the wisdom that God spoke through them. And as time passed during the 48 hours, it became clear that the mission was set in motion and would be achieved. To hear from God, to impart, and to leave better off than they came was MISSION POSSIBLE! Apostles, Bishops, Pastors, Prophets, Prophetesses, Elders, Overseers, Evangelists, Ministers, Teachers, Musicians, Staff and Leaders, all came with the expectation that they would See INTENTIONAL, on page 9

Los Angeles City Council voted Tuesday night to rename Rodeo Road as Obama Boulevard. Guest Column On August 23,2018, in keeping with the Valdosta City Charter, the People's Tribunal submitted petitions bearing the signatures of 114 residents, which was more than 60 percent of the Forrest Street residents, asking the City Council to change the name of Forrest street to Barack Obama Blvd. However, I was asked to come to City Hall, and George Rhynes and I were confronted by the Mayor, the City Manager, and another representative of the Administration, and told that only 40 of the names were acceptable. The Charter is clear. It says "Upon receipt of a partition requesting a name change or closing of any public street, the mayor and council shall verify that the petition contains the requisite signatures of 60 percent of the property owners and/ or residents of the public street or alley. Thereafter, a notice of the meeting shall be published in the local newspaper a minimum of three times commencing at least ten days prior to the meeting. This notice shall contain the date and place of meeting, the current name of the street or

alley to be changed or closed. If a name change is requested, the requested name change must be stated and the name of the current name." (Code 1976, 54-1005 (c): Ord. . No. 90-23, 4-5-1990 Sec. 86-83 Effective date of change. Upon the change of any public street within the city, the effective date of the change shall not be effective for a period of at least 90 days after passage of the ordinance. Let us be clear. In no place in the City Charter does it say that only one person living in an Apartment complex can sign the petition. Each family has its own separate mailing address, voters registration cards, drivers license, electric bill, gas bill, water bill, Social Security card, etc We are not asking to be treated differently. We just want the same rules to apply for everybody. That is why the City has a Charter. We faithfully followed the Charter. We only want the mayor and city council to adhere to the Charter, too. It is the responsibility of the Mayor and City

Council to make sure that the number of the names were accurate. The People's Tribunal debated whether or not we should capitulate and get more signatures. In the end, most of us felt that the Mayor and Council would do what they wanted. If they wanted to change the name of Forrest street to Barack Obama Blvd, they would. It they don't want to change the name,. they won't, and find way to blame us. The City Charter is clear, and when we got 114 signatures, as required, it was more than 60 percent of the signatures of the residents on Forrest street. We were still told that we didn't' have 60 percent because only 40 of the signatures were accepted by the City. Then we sent a letter to the city asking that the City Manager provide us with the name of the streets that have been changed over the last five years, and the process which was used. The Transformation Church Meeting Place at Jones Leadership Academy On Nebraska Ave.

Be Ye Transformed: At The Transformation Church!

By Interfaith Gazette Staff

While many are embarking upon new ideas, new innovations, new books, new wardrobes, and new attitudes, one person is looking at his future through new lens. Elder Brandon Tucker, who is now Pastor Brandon Tucker, has set his sails to expand upon a vision that the Lord gave him for unchurched people in the city. It's a NEW LAUNCH! August 31st was a new beginning for Pastor Brandon and Lady Tia. You see Elder Brandon had served at Greater New Psalmist in several roles prior to the Lord speaking to him about starting a new work. He stated that he was a very young man who was blessed to have served for 15 years under the tutelage of Bishop Dr. Brehon Hall who licensed him as a Minister in March, 2006. He reported that he received many meaningful elevations while at New Psalmist and am so grateful to have been called to preach, become ordained, and serve as Youth Minister, Youth Pastor, and Executive Pastor during his tenure there. The launching of Transformation Church was not just a word to him but he needed confirmation after God had spoken, stating that it was time for him to branch out and go. Two days later, his wife confirmed through words that she had heard God speak to her: " Honey, I

Lady Tia and Pastor Brandon Tucker don't know what this means but God said that we are suppose to start a work ". He knew that this was the confirmation that he needed to move out in the things of God in his new role. He stated that he never felt that he would be in a role other than being second. And now that he is determined to serve God's people, he believes that this church, Transformation Church, will meet

people where they are. He sees the church as being viable, targeted, and relevant to meet the needs of the people. Transformation Church's Vision is to assist the congregants, which Elder Brandon intends to be children and families, to grow in God, providing the best tools for them to do just that, as well as to impact and influence the community. He believes that where

the church will meet is strategic. Jones Leadership Academy Of Business is where The Transformation Church will hold its services. Pastor Brandon states that this location is definitely germane to the mission of the church. Because Jones Academy has undergone relevant changes for the betterment of the students and families in the area, the school has goals that Pastor Brandon believes will be enhanced by the presence of Transformation Church. Pastor Tucker states that he wants the church to be an asset to the school. It is the goal of the church to network, collaborate with and partner in many initiatives that will be created to empower the students and enrich the lives of those who are connected to the school and the church. One Outreach effort that he is excited about is that of making sure that each family/child receives a Christmas gift from Transformation Church. He also will enable the school to began its Gospel Choir, along with a Mentorship program. The first service that Transformation Church will hold is scheduled for November 4, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. Services will take place in the auditorium of the school located at 430 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, Oh. 43604. For more information, you may visit the website at www. transformationc.com

Dr. Eugene Sanders: A Man Called On Purpose!

Bishop Rufus Sanders, Ph. D. (Pastor of Emmanuel Temple) B y I nterfaith G azette S taff Many Toledoeans remember the person responsible for making it happen for the children at Toledo Public Schools and community of Toledo, to enter NEW SCHOOLS. That person is Dr. Eugene Sanders, A Man Called On Purpose. On a recent visit to his hometown, I had the pleasure of attending a service at the church at which Dr. Sanders is the 1st Associate Pastor, Emmanuel Temple, where he serves with his brother, Bishop

Emmanuel Temple Church Choir Rufus Sanders, Ph. D. To my amazement and unknowingly, Dr. Eugene was the speaker of the hour for the morning service. As the service progressed and the spirit emanated throughout the building, the choir sang their songs of

celebration in an all out jubilant manner that resonated throughout as attendees joined in with foot stomping, hands elevated, and smiles of joy. Looking around the building one couldn't stop noticing how happy individuals were on this Sunday morning. And as the time of fellowship continued, it was noticeable that there were some familiar faces from the Toledo area. One face that stood out in the crowd was that of Elder Harold Ray, once a citizen of Toledo, who now resides in the Columbus area, as well as an Elder at Emmanuel Temple. Toledo remembers Elder Ray as the Owner of the well known food restaurant, Shrimp Hut, once deemed as the best Shrimp to eat in town. The message, as provided by Dr. Eugene on this day, was one of assurance to the people of God to know that "THE LORD IS ON YOUR SIDE", taken from the book of Joshua. Dr. Sanders' message highlighted the significance of staying with God and believing that as a child of God one's relationship guarantees him/her the success needed in life. It is apparent that this man of God knows the God of his salvation. He is confident that what God has for him is for him. His commitment to the children at Sandusky

Elder Harold Ray Public Schools, as their Superintendent, is just as diligent as his mission was with the children in Toledo. He has also embarked upon building new schools in Sandusky. It is no doubt in my mind that he will accomplish just what he has set out to do there as well. May God bless you Dr. Sanders as you journey. And for what God is and has done in your life, you are A Man Called On Purpose!

sounds still maintain a joyful presence that continues to keep ones mind on who the writer and composer truly is. There was no sound like the sound of Pastor John P. Kee and the Fellowship choir. As Pastor Kee approached the podium for the message of the day, it was evident that his arrival made a difference in the respondents. The attendees were up and on their feet as he began to sing from his repertoire of songs. He reminded the people of God of the good ole days when everyone was grateful to be in God's house just to praise him for what he had done in making a way for them. Pastor Kee is also starring in a movie that is being produced about his life that is titled The Last Song. It will be forthcoming and the date of release will be announced later. New Life Fellowship Church is very active and involved in the community. It has several ministries aimed at keeping the youth in the city involved. It has an academy, basketball, praise dancers, and after school programs.

Sunday's are just joyful days and nothing could be said more about a Sunday that one spends at the New Life Fellowship Church in Charlotte, N. C. with the one and only Pastor John P. Kee. As one nears the building that has been repurposed from being just a gymnasium to an all purpose, ministry tower, the evidence became clear that one was entering a place that would be filled with cheers and music, and that it was. Having completed our mission in Charlotte at the Women's Conference, it was sure to be infused with an exit filled with the likes of Pastor John P. The music was phenomenal and filled your heart with the symphonic sounds of music by Pastor John P. that the Praise and Worship Team sang in a melodic way. The New Life Fellowship Choir reminded us of just how important the role of the music by Pastor Kee played in the lives of choirs, soloists, and groups around the country for many years. The

and Micah Stampley, Apostle Dwayne Hardin, and son of Bishop McKinstry, Pastor Luther McKinstry, who had brought Leaders from his ministry at The Worship Center, Atlanta. And one of those Elders, Roland Hairston, was instrumental in leading one of the classes on Church Growth and Stability. He stated that "the gathering of the Leaders was life changing, in the sense that it was so awesome to be in a free worship service not bound by program. There was tangible, spiritual, practical methodologies as to how to build, along with a wonderful fellowship". Another guest who had come from Atlanta, Ga. as well, was Apostle Dwayne Hardin, Pastor of The Embassy Church. He stated that he believes " that Leaders were encouraged to operate in dignity, integrity, and class in ministry. He further believes that Leaders were refreshed, given space to develop, and left with new energy to go further". There were also local Pastors who had been pivotal in the foundational planning of this Leadership Event, that

Worshipper Micah Stampley be more enriched and fulfilled when they would have left Toledo. Bishop McKinstry conducted the workshop for Pastors Only, where she provided spiritual uplifts and tools that would increase their thirst and fervor in sustaining their churches and ministries. Other workshops were also conducted for the Elders, Deacons,

Musicians, and Staff, providing enrichment and tools on how to progress the vision that God had given each participant serving in a leadership role. Some of the guest who shared their gifts and talents with the awaiting congregants were: Prophet Brian Mosley, the well known music minstrels Byron Cage

included Bishop John Williams, Bishop Nolan White and Pastor Tabitha White, Pastor Copeland from Fostoria and Pastor Chance from Fremont. Bishop McKinstry stated that the two days of glory were filled with much anticipation that God would speak and he did. She stated that this service was different from previous ones that had taken place with the Pastors, in that classes were offered for Pastors, Elders, Musicians, Deacons, Staff and others in a leadership role. During the service, it was notable that Bishop McKinstry had just received the Achievement Award that was granted by President Barack Obama in 2016 that was presented during the service. We celebrate Bishop Patricia McKinstry on the success of the Leadership Alliance with Ministers and Leaders from cross denominational reformations, roles, and cities from across this country. May God continue to bless you as you lead, guide, and impart to men and women of God!
