DearHamiltoncommunity,

IthasbeenaveryexcitingandsuccessfulmonthatHamilton.Ourstudentsnow havetheirestablishedroutinesandthepositiveatmosphereacrosstheschoolis evident Smilingchildren,withalearningfocusedmindset,areseeninaevery classroom Wearetrulyhappytoseethis

TheISPreadingchallengeisunderwayandstudentsarecollaboratingaround manyofthebookstheyhaveread.Assembliesondetermination,readingand aboutourStudentCouncilhavegeneratedexcitementacrosstheschool

Arangeofassessmentshavetakenplace.Theseareessentialasitenables studentstoshowcasetheirknowledge,skillsandunderstandinginarangeof subjectssothatteachersareabletoplantheirlessonsinapersonalizedmanner. Thisinturncreatesmanyopportunitiesforstudentstocomfortablychallenge themselves FromengagingMathandEnglishlessonstoexcitingspecialist lessons,ourtimetableandlessonvariationshasreallycapturedtheinterestof eachstudent'sinterest.

Ihavehadtheprivilegetoobservemanylessonssofarthistermanditconfirms ourbeliefthatamazingteachingandlearningisattheheartofeverythingwedo

BuildingonfromourParent/Teachermeetings,CurriculumAfternoon,andour revisedparentcommunicationprotocols,wecontinuetogalvanizeourparent communityandtheresponsehasbeenfantastic.Wehavehadmayparentsonsite toseeourexciting,thematicExitPointsfirsthand,thiswasanopportunityfor studentstoshowcasesomeoftheiramazinglearningexperiences.Ourweekly ParentWorkshopshaveprovidedparentswithspecificoccasionstolearnmore aboutourcurriculum,andwehavefocusedonMaths,English,Assessmentand Inclusioninsomeofourmostrecentevents Wethankparentsforthecontinuous feedback Thisisimportanttousbecausewestrivetoalwaysgetbetter Wewant tothankourParentCouncilforalwaysbeingproactiveandsupportiveinhelping usonourjourney.Ourupdatedattendanceandpunctualityproceduresarebased onthenotionthat‘everyminutecounts’whenitcomestolearningandwellbeing andwealsothankparentsfortheirsupportwiththistoo

Theyenjoyedtakingofftheirshoesand experiencedifferenttypesofmaterialby engagingtheirsenseoftouch. Theystartedwithwater,movedtomud,then treeleaves,andfinallytheytouchedSNOW!! Ourstudentslovedthislessonthatallowed themtoreallyexperiencesensorylearningas theyjourneyedtofindthebear.

Followingthatsession,theparentsstayedfora“Stayand Play”morningfilledwithlotsoffunandexcitingactivities relatedtotheunit.
