NIS Hosts Read Aloud Session in honor of International Mother Language Day
Nibras International School organized a Read Aloud session in honor of InternationalMotherLanguageDay.
We invited our parents and staff to join us at school and share stories with students in their native languages. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for our students to immerse themselves in stories told in theirowndialects,creatingarichcelebrationofculture.
With students from over 82 different countries, we were so lucky to have so many different languages highlighted as part of International Mother LanguageDay.

NIS Secondary Students Make a Mark at the 9th American University Dubai (AUD) - MUN Conference
We are delighted to announce that the NIS Model United Nations Club has successfully represented Nibras International School at the 9th American University Dubai - Model United Nations (AUDMUN) Conference.
Our students were recognized and honored at the ClosingAwardsCeremony,capturingtwoawards.
Anna Maria Y., a Grade 11 student, won Honorable Mention (2nd Place), representing North Korea on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) committee.
Meanwhile, Esha V, a Grade 12 student, also won Honorable Mention (2nd Place), representing Russia on theInternationalLaborOrganization(ILO)Committee.

#NISRecap: NIS Elementary Students Awarded with Times Tables Rockstars Certificates
We would like to congratulate Ms. Vibha’s Grade 5A class for ranking 4th out of the 2,452 classes from the UAE that participated in the Times Table Rock Stars (TTRS)competition
We would also like to congratulate Celine S. of Grade 5C for being part of the Top 2% of students, and also the other students who were part of the Top 10% of studentswhoparticipated.
Times Tables Rockstars is a platform that helps improve student’s recall of their time tables through engaging gamifiedmathquestions.

Grandparents Lead Engaging Read Aloud Session for Elementary Students
At Nibras International School, we look at ways to make every member of your family feel a part of our community.
Our Elementary homeroom teachers invited the grandparents of our students to host a Read Aloud sessionintheirclasses.
Some grandparents arrived in costumes, while some brought props to make the reading sessions more engaging We thank all the grandparents and our familiesforsupportingthisactivity.

National Honors Society (NHS) Students Host Autism Awareness Presentation
The members of our National Honor Society (NHS) - NIS Chapter delivered an Autism Awareness presentation to theirfellowsecondarystudents.
During the presentation, the NHS students provided important information about autism to promote understandingandacceptance.
The National Honors Society (NHS) is one of the oldest and largest co-curricular organizations around the world.
It operates in many American schools in United States and across various countries to recognize students who demonstrate leadership, strong academics, service, and character.
A Journey to Neverland: NIS Elementary Students Enjoy Peter Pan Show
Our elementary school curriculum ensures that our students engage in experiences that provide learning indifferentways.
As part of their learning experience, our Elementary students watched the production of Peter Pan put on byS4KInternational.
During the show, the students were taken on a journey to Neverland through the performances, and gainedabetterunderstandingofallittakestoputona showlikethis.
#NISRecap: Students in our Robotics Course Create Award-Winning Robot
Congratulations to students enrolled in our robotics course at Nibras International school. These High School students received the runners-up prize for the Best Robot award at the First Lego League Competition held atRoyalGrammarSchoolGuildford,Dubai.
Competing with other high school students from international schools in Dubai, our students created a robot that was inspired by the theme of “Masterpiece” Our students showcased their creativity using the LEGO Spike Prime hardware and software in order to create this robot. Their goal was to design and build an allpurpose yet sturdy robot to complete several competitionmissionsinminimaltime.

Unity for a Cause: NIS Continues Partnership with the UAE Food Bank for Zero Hunger Project
As part of our International Day Celebration, the NIS community once again pledged our commitment to supporttheSustainableGoalofZeroHunger.
For this academic year, the campaign was led by our 2024 Senior Class as their batch’s community service project. With a mission to combat hunger and support people in need, the students organized a rice donation campaign, whichisreminiscentoflastyear’sZeroHungerproject.
For this year, the entire NIS community was able to collect 872 kilograms of rice. A representative from the UAE Food Bank visited the school to collect the rice bags and to meet thestudents.
We thank our community for their support of this project. We hope that we break our last year’s record in the next editionoftheZeroHungerProject.
