Confidential counsellor The concept of ‘undesired behaviour’ is interpreted broadly. In addition to sexual intimidation and discrimination, all forms of verbal, physical and psychological aggression are considered to be undesired behaviour. Social exclusion, being ignored, bullying and stalking are also part of this. The confidential counsellor is available to you in the event of questions, problems or doubts about undesired behaviour or integrity.

Even though we hope that this will never happen to you, you still may encounter undesired behaviour at work, such as aggression, sexual intimidation, bullying or discrimination. If you don’t want to discuss this with your supervisor or cannot do so, then you can turn to our external confidential counsellor Rita Wielemaker, tel. +31 (0)6 - 107 367 43, r.wielemaker@gimd.nl.

make recommendations about de-escalation possibilities; inform you about the rules, procedures and agreements; provide support if you wish to submit a complaint; develop preventive activities to avoid undesired behaviour.

If you are dealing with undesired behaviour, the confidential counsellor can do the following for you: • take you in and offer a listening ear • share thoughts and ideas about dilemmas concerning colleagues;
