Artist John Olsen returns to Newcastle this month with his completed new work of art to be unveiled at the launch event for the exhibition John Olsen: The City’s Son. The work will, of course, be on display at the Gallery throughout the exhibition and hopefully for many years to come as three entities collaborate to raise the funds needed to acquire the new painting and keep it permanently.
