Spiritual Wellbeing

Spiritual wellness is defined as expanding a sense of purpose and meaning in life, including one's morals and ethics. It may or may not involve religious activities.

TIPS THEORY & ACTION

June 21st marks this year's Summer Solstice in the Northern hemisphere and thus our astronomical start of summer Many feel the internal flame of longer days and the sun allowing us to revel in the abundance of the natural world Harnessing the energy of the sun during this period through bringing life to something (gardening, starting a project, manifesting our desires), reconnecting with yourself through nature, or taking mindful moments as you explore a new city, sit in the park, enjoy a concert or walk your dog - can give you an opportunity to embrace culmination and achievement After all, you, too, are part of nature coexisting with the Earth, weather, plants, animals and the stars above!

While summer is typically the season when we focus on our physical health (and sadly, sometimes the toxic "Summer Body" trend) you could also use this time to champion your inner-self Whether it's having a tech-free weekend, finding a meditation practice that is sustainable, or disconnecting through connecting with nature, see if you can find your spiritual source of peace While the idea of spirituality can be too "hippie dippy" for some, we would all benefit from spiritually healthy and purposeful lives
