Mia Freeman

Hey there, Hey there,

ALittle bit about me

I‘m Mia Freeman, a graduating Fashion Marketing student based in Melbourne, with a passion for blending creative digital and spatial design I am all about the fashion marketing industry, with particular interests in social media coordination, publicity and PR, and event production With a sharp eye for detail and a love for visual design, I create engaging, cohesive, and onbrand content from digital campaigns to event concepts

To strengthen my creativity and social awareness, I constantly consume a variety of media, staying on top of current trends, styles and innovations, as well as political and cultural movements. This ensures my ideas and work remain relevant, thoughtful and impactful. I am dedicated to producing my best work and I achieve this by thriving on organisation, collaboration, and taking on challenges with enthusiasm.

Fashion has been part of my life from the very beginning from dance costumes and dressups to discovering the business side of the industry in high school, the interest was always there, but the turning point was identifying my strengths and working hard to explore the opportunities and experiences they could lead to. Today, I’m focused on crafting a career that combines creativity, strategy, and a constant eagerness to learn.

I’m at my best when I’m creating visual, brand-driven projects from campaign planning to social media content, I enjoy the process of bringing together colours, fonts, graphics, and imagery into a polished final product, often working in Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva I value clear communication, open collaboration, and feedback that pushes creative work further

Whether I’m styling content, coordinating events or developing social media strategies, I want to always bring creativity, organisation, and authenticity to every project and team I work with I am ready to step into the industry, absorb everything I can, and build a career I am proud of

Fashion Fashion Week Week

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is a bi-annual event that takes place in both February and September, usually spanning a 7 to 9 day period Events are hosted across the Big Apple, with locations ranging from indoor warehouses to outdoor parks, and even extending as far as the Hamptons for highlight shows, including Ralph Lauren’s spring 2025 collection (Guerra 2023).

NYFW describes the week as an opportunity for ‘leading designers from around the world’ to ‘showcase their collections’ with access to an ‘unrivaled global platform’ where coverage of events, celebrity appearances and fashion royalties draw all eyes to the numerous shows that take place during these two bustling weeks each year (NYFW n.d.).

About Look 2:

Styled in Jacquemus, Ella wanted to wear yellow at some point during NYFW as it suits her complexion, boosting her confidence Sustainability was a key factor in styling Ella for the Alaïa show, so we decided to rent the dress from ‘The Vault’, rather than purchasing new We paired it with Gold Saint Laurent heels, purchased second hand, maintaining an elegant yet sustainable fashion choice

About Look 3:

For the Monse show, Ella and I chose a brown dress from Somebodée While appearing as a mini dress with tights, the designer crafted it as a one-piece dress that connected the whole look We settled on the dress because of Ella’s preference for neutrals and her interest in trying tights This piece from Somebodée was the perfect opportunity for her to try a new style at the Monse event

SPECIAL EDITION

Nima Benati, a 33-year-old Italian fashion photographer from Bologna, was inspired by fashion magazines as a young girl, which influenced her to follow her passion for the photography industry (Hikmat Wehbi Podcast 2024) Coming from a lower socioeconomic background, Benati worked hard to save during high school for a small camera, which she used to shoot her friends after classes (Ibid). Through Facebook, local students in her area discovered her photos and requested photoshoots, allowing her to save and by her graduation, she had made enough to purchase her first Studio (Ibid)

Her career kicked off when, through social media, Stefano Gabbana (Co-founder of Dolce & Gabbana) discovered her work, reaching out and requesting that she visit his office for a work opportunity (Ibid) Benati explained from this point, her career took off, leading her to shoot for Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Rene Caovilla, Vanity Fair and many more Later in her career, Benati then joined the Vogue Arabia group, shooting for them and working regularly within the Dubai region (Ibid)

ABOUT HER WORK

As displayed on the left page, Benati shot Monica Bellucci (Italian Actress and Model) for Vogue Arabia The shoot was produced by Sam Allison, with a hair and makeup team as well as a photography crew present This image showcases Benati’s creativity with surreal composition, combining two distinct portraits of Bellucci Using her face as the background and frame to then be overlaid by a smaller, full-body image of the actress, executes an intricate layering effect

The double exposure of Bellucci aligns the larger portrait of her facial features her eyes, nose and lips with her body, turning her figure into an extension of her face and creating a blurred line between the two combined images

In Figure 1, Benati created this image and campaign for the Italian skincare brand, Lagalene Milano it was her first shoot in which she worked as both the photographer and director, running the campaign alongside a production and styling crew, and starring Simone Susinna (Italian actor and model)

The setting of this image is reminiscent of an ancient grotto or classical palace, utilising stone sculptures of likely Roman gods and goddesses as set props in the background and eliciting a grand, ornate aura. Timeless and sculptural beauty are evoked through ancient mythology, conveying the strength and perfection of these otherworldly presences and linking these themes to Lagalene Milano’s product range.

Exploring Jeremy Allen White X Calvin Klein Spring 2024 campaign and discussing its alignment with the images and values of the brand.

Comparing the campaign’s elements with content from a smaller collection, to understand how Calvin Klein coordinates high-publicity promotions whilst maintaining regular social media posting to amplify its reach. Examining these aspects, this analysis will reveal how these two projects managed with different strategies to appeal to different audiences and accomplish successful results.

Looking at these two projects published by Calvin Klein, there are distinct styling differences White’s campaign utilises a mix of black and white colouring as well as muted warm tones in comparison to theModern Cottoncollection focusing on soft neutral hues The settings of each photoshoot contrast significantly White’s campaign is set in an urban landscape with the skyline of NYC as a dramatic backdrop, while the models pictured for the Modern Cotton collection are in an indoor setting, communicating a sense of privacy and ease.

Lighting further distinguishes the projects, with White’s campaign consisting of high contrast and dramatic shadows, whereas the Modern Cotton collection focused on soft, diffused lighting, that creates a warm glow across the images The messages gathered from these two projects vary, as White’s campaign conveyed a heightened sense of masculinity and sensuality, aligning with his public persona and the fast-paced metropolitan lifestyle associated with his character in The Bear.

In contrast, the Modern Cotton collection promoted a subtle, relaxed feeling in their imagery and communicated a gentler allure. Through these softer visuals and subdued styling, the campaign targets customers directly through the featured products as they emphasise comfort and ware-ability.
