January Board meeting
Our final board meeting for the 22–23 term was in January! We arrived on the 21st and went right to work. We were able to update everyone on our lives and positions and hear the amazing work that everyone has been doing! It was really exciting to learn about all of the service projects our Lt. Governors have been organizing and the change they are making in their community. We also had two committee breakouts!
The first was a time for committees to try to wrap up their directives, and the other was an all-hands-on-deck work time to prepare for DLC 2023.

There were many different informative presentations given on topics such as running for office at DLC, House of Delegates, elections, and how to find a successor. Thank you to the Executive Board and Arrowhead Lt. Governor Camden Bell for presenting to the Board! We also had time to participate in fun activities on public speaking, guessing the board member through baby photos, and reminiscing over the wonderful service year we’ve had so far.
We had the opportunity to listen to our Indiana Kiwanis Governor, Bruce Andrews, give us an update on how he has been and say some lifting words to encourage us to finish the service year with a bang! Our IP Indiana Kiwanis Governor, Taka Ogata, also stopped by to talk to us and give us letters written from Key Club Japan. At DLC 2022, one of the service projects included writing letters to them, and we were finally able to read their responses!

Overall, our January Board Meeting was a fun and productive weekend, and we are really excited for you all to see what we have been working on for DLC 2023!

Fremont High School has been amazing at communicating with their LtG, Nicole Bunag. They have been cooperating with her throughout this entire year, and are always trying their best to attend events! They have attended all of Johnny Appleseed’s Division Council Meetings, as well as helping Nicole raise 8.3 pounds of crayons for her LtG Project benefitting the Crayon Initiative.
DLC 2023 is ALMOST HERE! The event will take place at Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport this February 24th! It will be a full weekend event, starting Friday at 6:00 pm and ending Sunday at 11:30 am EST. Registration is officially over, so it's time to prepare ourselves; here are a few reminders.

If you are a candidate for a Lieutenant Governor position, do not forget to prepare your speech! Candidates for Executive positions must deliver 2 speeches.

The elected 2023-2024 board will have to stay an additional hour after adjournment. If you're running, prepare your transportation accordingly. You may NOT leave the hotel for the entire duration of the event.
