LtG projects

ORGANIZED BY DUNELAND LTG PAIGE HEIN

During the months of November and December, the Duneland Division raised funds and awareness for a phenomenal local charity known as the Independent Cat Society. The ICS is a no-kill cat shelter in Westville, IN that has been finding forever homes for felines since 1973. Even as I (Duneland Division Lt. Governor) am writing this, my cat, Tiger, who was adopted from the ICS is cuddled next to me, so this charity is near and dear to our hearts.

The Duneland Division community showed their support for the organization in a multitude of ways. From monetary donations from Key Clubs to raising awareness for adoptable cats, to receiving support from local Kiwanis, I would call this project a success! I am beyond proud of #TeamDuneland for their dedication to divisional involvement.

We started on this journey with the goal of raising $500, and I am excited to announce we have reached our goal! Thank you to Washington Township High School Key Club, La Porte High School Key Club, Chesterton High School Key Club, Valpo Noon Kiwanian Diane Warren, and Valpo Noon Kiwanian Joann Tomasic for your monetary contributions, which go straight to caring for the cats. The cats at ICS appreciate your donation!

However, there are still many felines at the shelter searching for a kindhearted caregiver to adopt them. I encourage you all to check out this link here for the many cats in need of a forever home or click here for their website. Once again, thank you all so much for supporting the 2022 Duneland Division Lt Governor Project for the Independent Cat Society!
