Zlatko Mateša i Romana Eibl u petak”. Priznanje za publicistiku pripalo je novinaru i publicisti iz Solina Jurici Gizdiću za knjigu “Hrvatska i olimpijska odličja”. Priznanje za lokalno novinarstvo HZSN-a pripalo je “Viktoriji”, športskom podlisku Novog lista, a priznanje za najbolje organiziranu press-službu u 2013. godini dobio je nogometni klub Hajduk iz Splita. Hrvatski zbor sportskih novinara, osnovan je 5. rujna 1991. godine i od tad je redovni član Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora.
Da, želim biti vrhunski športaš i studirati! U nazočnosti brojnih uglednika hrvatskoga športa, znanosti i obrazovanja, u Osijeku je 29. siječnja u Rektoratu Sveučilišta J. J. Strossmayer, a u organizaciji Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora (HOO) i Športske zajednice Osječkobaranjske županije, održan promocijski dan nacionalnog projekta HOO-a „Športaši i obrazovanje“. Projektiran prema iskustvima iz modela ‘’Kategorizirani športaši u sustavu obrazovanja’’ utemeljenoga 2008. godine, preporuka o uvjetima studiranja kategoriziranih športaša koju je usvojio Rektorski zbor 2009., mjera i aktivnosti koje je predložilo Nacionalno vijeće za šport, te smjernicama Vijeća HOO-a i Europske unije o zakonodavnom, strateškom i akcijskom planu poticanja obrazovanja i zapošljavanja športaša, ovaj četverogodišnji projekt pokrenut 2012. ima za cilj izgraditi proaktivan i institucionalni pristup obvezi društva prema vrhunskim športašima.

Romana Eibl, longtime journalist of Vjesnik, 24 sata and Jutarnji list won the award for uncompromised writing and firm attitude that make her distinctive and unique in Croatian journalism. Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Zvonimir Vukelic from Zagreb, journalist of Vecernji list, longtime reporter of events in football, handball and ice hockey, and to the Osijek journalist Dragutin Kerze who is, besides the excellent career in journalism, also active as a writer, publisher and sports official. Osijek’s radio journalist Mario Mihic was presented the award for radio journalism, while Branko Stipkovic from Sports News (Sportske novosti) was awarded for the “Shot on Friday”. The award for Journalism went to the journalist and writer from Solin, Jurica Gizdic, for his book “Croatia and Olympic medals”. The award for HZSN journalism on the local level went to “Viktorija”, sports supplement of the newspapers Novi List, while the award for the best -organized press- service in 2013 went to the football club Hajduk from Split. The Croatian Sports Journalists Association was founded on September 5th, 1991 and since then it is a regular member of the Croatian Olympic Committee. Sasa Ceraj new manager of the COA Since February 2014 Sasa Ceraj, Prof. PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences and MA in Kinesiology, is the new manager of the Croatian Olympic Academy. This decision was brought by the five-member Administrative Council, led by Franjo Prot, university professor and member of the COC Council at the session held on February 13th, 2014, in accordance with the tender announced in January 2014, Sasa Ceraj worked as a Consultant for top sports and Representative of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Council of Europe, as Head of International Cooperation and EU Programs Department at Zagreb Sports Association and finally, since 2012, at the Croatian Olympic Academy as Head of the International Cooperation on projects for promotion of Olympism and Olympic family communication. He is the author of numerous expert and scientific works on the organization of international sports institutions, history of Croatian and international Olympism. He is a member of the Commission for Information and Publishing and Editorial board and he is also a regular external associate of the COC magazine Olimp. Croatian Olympic Academy was founded by the Croatian Olympic Committee in 1996 and in 2003 it was registered as a non-profit public institution in charge of education in the field of sports and Olympism and promotion of its fundamental principles. The Academy is operating in accordance with program guidelines set by the COC and the International Olympic Academy (IOA). Yes, I want to be a top athlete and study!
