Lady Bulldogs drop two games during the week

The Howe Lady Bulldogs fell to a 3-14 record on the season as they were taken down by Blue Ridge, 15-9 on Tuesday and blanked by Bells, 22-0 on Friday. Railyn Murphy got the start in the circle for Howe on Tuesday and went one inning allowing six earned runs on five hits. She walked one and struck out one. She was relieved by Harley Brockelman who also went one inning allowing six earned runs. She allowed three hits and walked five. Each gave up a dinger to the Lady Tigers. Howe’s final pitcher on the night was Micaiah Franklin who went the final four innings of the game allowing no earned runs on one hit, three walks and six strikeouts. At the plate, Howe was led by Franklin who collected three hits and scored two runs. Hannah Dwyer also had a multi-hit game with a single and a double. Freshman Emery Snapp had a 2-

run triple. On Friday, Bells’ pitcher Alexis Tanguma threw a 3-inning perfect game against Howe that took only 38 pitches. Franklin began the game in the circle for Howe but lasted only 1.2 innings allowing seven earned runs on 11 hits and three walks while striking out two. Murphy came on in relief for 1.1 innings and allowed no earned runs on four hits and one walk. She struck out one. Howe will play Leonard at home Tuesday and at Whitewright to end the season on Friday.
