Area track results
HHS sending track athletes to regionals
The Howe High School track program will send several athletes to regional competition to be held at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas this Friday and Saturday. Those placing fourth or better at area last week at Emory Rains High School will advance to regionals

Seniors Marissa Agee and Jake Fabacher each won two events. Agee won the 400 m (1:00.49) and the 800 m (2:24.54). She’ll also compete as part of the 4x400 relay team. Fabacher qualified for regionals by winning the 800 m (2:03.10) and the 1600 m (4:53.43). Their second place 4x400 team ran a time of 4:15.85 by members Rector, Dwyer, Stubblefield, and Agee.
Dwyer will also compete at regionals in the triple jump as she placed third with a leap of 3403.75. Freshman Griffin finished sixth at 33-07.25.
Joining Fabacher at regionals will be freshman Cooper Jones who threw 40-11 in the shotput. Sophomore Matthew Bearden placed seventh at 38-06.50.
The Lady Bulldogs will also send their 4x200 team that finished third with a time of 1:51.74. That team is comprised of Sydney Rector, Kendall Griffin, Teagan Stubblefield, and Hannah Dwyer. Noah Campbell rounded out his high school athletic career by finishing eighth in discus with a throw of 106-6. He will be playing basketball for Houghton College in New York.
Senior Jordan Jones placed sixth in the 100 m with a time of 11.71.
