Bulldog Stadium upgrades are underway
a Looking north from S. Hughes Street as the 86-year-old playing surface has been ripped up. Staff photo. Since 1935, there has been grass between the goal posts between north and south Hughes Street. The football home to the Howe Bulldogs since the program’s inception (twice) has always been located on the same strip of land. But soon, covering that dirt will be artificial turn and a new track that should be completed by midJuly on the oldest active stadium in North Texas. The Howe Enterprise is taking photos from the same location for a time-lapse at the end of the 100-day project.
