Sheryl Bentley and daughter enjoy ice cream on Thursday night. 75-80 overall. The event drew dignitaries and elected officials as in attendance were Grayson County Sheriff Tom Watt, Grayson County Commissioner Jeff Whitmire, Howe Mayor Jeff Stanley, and Howe ISD Superintendent Kevin Wilson. Chris Cavender, owner of Cavender Home Theater, gave a historical recap of his business and offered up his services as a DISH Network retailer as well as full audio-video home theater installations.

Upcoming chamber events include a breakfast to be held at Independent Bank on Friday, September 6 from 8 am to 9 am. The Interurban Alley multichamber luncheon with Anna, Melissa, and Van Alstyne chambers will be held on Tuesday, August 20 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Hurricane Creek. The featured speaker will be Andrew Zenger, Chief Operating Officer of Medical City McKinney. Howe's chamber will also be hosting the annual "Downtown Howe-lloween Festival" on Oct. 26 on Haning Street in downtown.
