The Dogs played Bonham on Tuesday and nearly upended the highly athletic Warriors. In the end, Howe came up just short, 55-51. The Bulldogs started out strong and won the first period, 11-10. But Bonham's star player Ukpe after being shutout in the first period came on strong in the second and scored 13 points in the frame. Ukpe's performance allowed Bonham to take a 30-23 lead into the half.

Howe was led in points by Caiden Harmon with 16 with Noah Campbell and Porter each with 13. Other scorers were Elijah Campbell (8), and Steven Waldrip (1). On Friday night, the Bulldogs lost another heartbreaker, this time to Whitewright, 60-56. Howe trailed after the first, 16-14 but had an outstanding second period to take a 32-26 halftime lead. The Dogs were nearly blanked in the third period except for a field goal by Logan Elvington. The Tigers regained the lead in the third and entered the fourth up 43-34. But again, Howe kept fighting and some well-timed 3-pointers by Noah Campbell helped Howe claw back in the game and eventually took the lead late in the fourth. However, Whitewright won the see-saw fourth period.
Howe was able to get Ukpe in foul trouble which allowed the Dogs to make a push without him on the floor. Howe's third-period advantage was 12-5 with Devin Porter taking two key charges to help the Dogs' chances during the game.
