Marvin "M.E." Curtis, 1940-2016 M.E. started the tradition of the "round table" sessions which continues today at the local Quick Check store. M.E. and Marie loved to travel with friends. They loved going to Lake Texoma, where they enjoyed entertaining friends and family at the lake house. They also enjoyed country music, dancing and singing karaoke.

M.E. was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers (Hubert, Lloyd, Glenn, and Bill) and sister Marilyn. M.E. is survived by his loving wife Marie, sister Roselyn Brooks and husband Eddie of Katie, OK., daughter Paris Palacios and husband Lee of Howe, daughter Allison Curtis and fiance Joshua of Howe; grandchildren Corey Curtis and Casie of Howe, Syreeta Carter and husband Jay of Plano, Sarah Palacios of Abilene, Keith Roper and wife Patty of Rockwall, Shannon Trammell and M.E. Curtis husband Matt of Denton, Alandra Roper and fiance Brent of Howe, Lane Roper of Howe; great Marvin Edward (M.E.) Curtis, age 75 of Howe, grandchildren Alex, Olivia, Molly, Malachai, Mattie Jo and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins passed away on April 10, 2016. He was born November 16, 1940 in Katie, OK, the son of Ama and friends. Harrison and Ruby Inez Stevens Curtis. He Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 14, joined the National Guard in 1956 and was 2016 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church in Howe, mobilized with the 49th Infantry Division and TX. The family received friends on Wednesday, served a year at Ft. Polk, LA. He met Marie at April 13, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at the Scoggins Southeast High School in Oklahoma City in 1956. They were married on February 22, 1958 Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, TX. in Oklahoma City. After high school, they The pallbearers were Corey Curtis, Keith Roper, moved to Garland, TX where M.E. worked for Brent Lingle, Jay Carter, Lane Roper, Alex Safeway until he went to work for Texas Moore, and Corey Williams. Debbie Lowery In Tuesday's Howe Lions Club noon meeting, Debbie Lowery was nominated and confirmed as the president of the newly chartered Howe Lions Club. Lowery serves as a Howe City Councilwoman as well as owner her own business, 3G Brand. The Howe Lions Club also named Amber Krantz-Dimayuga as secretary, Jesse Davis as treasurer and Rob Hunt as membership chairman. The club will charge $10 monthly dues and will meet twice per month (one lunch and one dinner). The Howe Lions Club will hold their first fundraising event with a 42 domino tournament on Founders Day, May 7 at 2pm.
