Founded in 2003, RYCON Constructions delivers innovative design and construct projects across southeast Queensland.
Gerard Ryan, Director, began his career in 1988 when he started his trade as a Carpenter and Joiner, working in various Site Manager and Project Management roles. Gerard also holds an Associate Diploma in Building and is the licensee for GA Ryan Developments Pty Ltd T/A RYCON Constructions (QBCC Medium Rise Building Licence).
Our Management team is committed to ensuring we exceed our clients’ expectations by maintaining the highest level of communication and collaboration throughout the complete building process.
As one of Queensland’s leading specialist builders, RYCON Constructions strives to produce the best possible outcome for our clients and their projects, by using the highest quality materials and skills expertise.
RYCON Constructions concentrate on small to medium commercial projects, providing two commercial services depending on our clients’ specific needs. We can supply a full Design and Construct service offering building design in collaboration with our preferred architects and design partners, right through to full building completion. We also offer Construction Only building, where we build to your architectural or design plans.

RYCON Constructions manage each building project with a qualified team who are carefully selected to suit each project. We consider the complexity and all project requirements to ensure our client receives the best possible experience.
Our Site Managers are on site full-time to ensure our buildings are built to the highest possible standards, in accordance with the documentation produced by our design and construction consultants, or our client’s designers or architects.
We rely on and work with a dedicated team of consultants to ensure the build process with team RYCON is a first class, seamless process.
Our site team are also fully supported by our Contract Administrators to ensure communication excellence is achieved for each project.

Building Sustainability
Sustainability is a key consideration for every build by RYCON Constructions. We aim to have minimal impact on the environment both in the design of the build and throughout the construction phase. This is achieved by implementing site erosion control, dust suppression, and using recycled materials where possible while maintaining the required specifications.
Our other sustainability steps include:
• Careful disposal of waste into separate recycle site bins, being both environmentally conscious and reducing disposal costs
Implementing energy and water saving measures by using water harvesting techniques on our projects and by the use of drip irrigation systems in our landscaping
• Partnering with a specialised team of electricians to encourage our clients to install solar power on our projects
Using Low-E glass where possible on our projects to comply with energy efficiency
• Installing LED lighting for energy efficiency and reduced energy costs for owners or tenants

Commercial projects and warehouses, while often sparse and industrial in design, also accommodate people. We understand this is a workplace, and employees should feel proud and comfortable in their workspace.

Warehouse/Office, Evans Drive, Caboolture
Our client’s brief was to build a smart and timeless looking building that would attract not only a long-term tenant but a quality tenant who would be proud of their new headquarters. This is another great collaboration between Sparc Architects and RYCON Constructions, allowing us to offer a full design and construct service.
Located in a new development zone in Yarrabilba, South of Brisbane, this project included the construction of three 2-storey commercial showrooms with individual kitchens and amenities.
Built for a private investor, the three tenancies can be leased as individual or collective retail outlets or offices.

A full design and construct project in collaboration with SPARC Architects, resulted in a very efficient building with maximum use of the site, whilst maintaining a striking visual appearance. It has a modern, timeless appearance with a view to attracting a long-term tenant for the astute investor of industrial properties.

Our third commercial project in this growing industrial precinct in Crestmead. The site is on a premium corner block with full street frontage, providing optimal branding opportunities for passing traffic. This project was the 2nd for our repeat investor client.

A two-level architectural designed office with striking color scheme alongside a functional three door warehouse. We advised on the design process in conjunction with the client to ensure an efficient build to offset the market forces at the time around material costs and availability.

Distribution Centre, Quilton Place, Crestmead
A Design and Construct project in collaboration with Kelly Gray from Sparc Architects, for an investor client. The project was taken from a cleared site and construction was completed in 8 months. The 2400m² warehouse was constructed using precast concrete panels and a steel girder system and features a state-of-the-art office with an auto on-off LED lighting system.

Bringing architectural flair to a new industrial estate, RYCON Constructions partnered with Sparc Architects to bring this Design and Construct to life. This project has a minimalist appearance along with a low-maintenance approach, thinking ahead for future long-term tenants. Built for a repeat investor client, the office space provides lots of natural light with the use of largescale windows.

Office
A commercial collaboration with RYCON Constructions and an in-house team of consultants. During this Design and Construct, our commercial division worked closely with the client to custom design and construct their new distribution centre and corporate office to their specific needs.

This architecturally designed suite of office warehouses was curated by leading architects in conjunction with Compli Group Pty Ltd. Completed with an in-house team of consultants, RYCON Constructions ensured a clean build that accommodated office units and showrooms with a warehouse at the rear of each unit. Sizes ranged from 185m2 to 450m2

Designed by leading Brisbane architects, this Cellar Door and Winery was constructed of Class 1 off-form concrete, integrated with full-height glazing and natural timber from the estate. The build incorporated seamless aluminium panelling to give a relaxed setting beside the picturesque Wyaralong Dam.
