Gerard Ryan is often described by clients as someone who always understands exactly what they are wanting to achieve. With a passion for innovative architecture and construction, Gerard has an eye for detail and appreciates the collaborative process between the owner, builder, and architect.
Gerard began his building career as an apprentice with Lendlease, going on to be involved in some of Brisbane’s largest construction companies and working on landmark Brisbane and overseas projects. After completing his Associate Diploma in Building, Gerard found his niche building architecturally designed luxury homes.
He has further developed a successful commercial division at RYCON Constructions, delivering quality projects across South East Queensland.
Sustainability is a key consideration for every build by RYCON Constructions. We aim to have minimal impact on the environment both in the design of the build and throughout the construction phase. This is achieved by implementing site erosion control, dust suppression, and using recycled materials where possible while maintaining the required specifications.
Our other sustainability steps include:
Careful disposal of waste into separate recycle site bins, being both environmentally conscious and reducing disposal costs
Implementing energy and water saving measures by using water harvesting techniques on our projects and by the use of drip irrigation systems in our landscaping
Partnering with a specialised team of electricians to encourage our clients to install solar power on our projects
• Using Low-E glass where possible on our projects to comply with energy efficiency
• Installing LED lighting for energy efficiency and reduced energy costs for owners or tenants
