Our Values

Vision

Our vision is to become the largest Indigenous employment provider in Australia.

Our History

Multhana was founded by Managing Director Joseph Wallace in 2017, with the support of Directors Mark Hohn and Damien Cann.

Mission

To create sustainable economic and positive personal outcomes for First Nations and culturally diverse people through employment, upskilling, and career development opportunities.

Values

Teamwork – We all have a role to play in supporting each other to achieve beneficial outcomes.

Responsibility – We are responsible for driving positive outcomes.

Authenticity – We remain true and real in everything we do, and recognise our connection to country and community.

Inclusivity – Everyone is valued and included.

Equity – Everyone is entitled to fair and equitable opportunities, free of barriers.

As an Indigenous man from the Jirrabal Rainforest in the Atherton Tablelands and Juru Traditional Owners in Bowen, North Queensland, Joseph is a strong advocate for driving positive, sustainable change for First Nations people. Joseph works closely with business and community stakeholders, government, and client Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Groups to speak about Indigenous procurement and the current state of Indigenous employment in Southeast Queensland.

Joseph’s background in Indigenous affairs and governance is grounded in his extensive three-decade career in the public and private sectors, including housing services, Indigenous homelessness, Indigenous cultural programs, and men’s Indigenous leadership programs.

Joseph holds a Master of Arts (Indigenous Social Policy) and Bachelor of Education (Aboriginal Studies & Community Management). For Joseph, “it’s all about giving people an opportunity who can’t otherwise get a foot through the door.”

Today, Multhana is one of the largest and most capable Indigenous property services providers in Queensland, delivering key multi-million-dollar civil infrastructure cleaning and landscaping projects.
