Horror Vacui Project “Art for everyone around the World” ‘Horror Vacui’ in art history was used to describe the recharging
on the pictoric art. But we want to give you a new meaning, I mean, the fear to the vacui, the unculture, putting diferent tags, to something unrated. Everyone can be part, even if you are an amateur artists or a professinal one: drawer, writer, painter, cartoonist, photographer... from Spain or anypart of the world. All of you have an space in our art project, uncensured and without borders. This is our first publishing, a webzine whose topic is the Circus of Horrors, this is Horror Vacui Project, what we are, the dream of a guy that expands to arrive to everyone around the world, without any limit. FOTOGRAFIAS DE UN CIRCO DECADENTE “Ladies and Gentlemen come in and see! get close to see the best show in the world!” You could hear these words thousands of times and they still will be valid, like an echo painted of a childhood that resists to become past, they sound again stronger thanks to the Camera of Jessica González. But, Attention, foolish who are waiting to find on this new photography work some innocent winks, childhood the warmth!, Circus Horror is going to surprise to the traditional magic lovers, Here you won’t find funny clowns, acrobats able to challenge the gravity, beasts able to build pyramids or magicians that appear bunnies from their hats. The reality crosses the lens to be shown on scenes that touch, with no mercy,
inside the dreams warehouse. Drinking from the culture and the cloudy source, Circus Horror supposed to be an experience that combines feelings like the horror and the humor, the apathy and the hysteria, shaken in a cocktail that delight to everyone that are looking for going away the established conventions. Anything is possible on this tour whose slogan, just could be this way, is also its unique way: even Harder! By the sight of Jessica González walk all kind of characters taken from your nightmares, in the middle of the way between the Burton’s grace and Poe’s devastation, that constantly invite to the viewer to join to the party. In the middle of the forest, there´s a very special place. You can hear a lot of voices… You want to enter? That´s ok! Oh my god, there´s a circus! But no, you don´t have to pay. But there´s a small condition, you can only, ONLY, gaze. The circus´s colors: black and white, and it has a pretty glass cage. There´s something moving inside… Oh, you´re gonna have fun! Great! But what!! Why are you there, mother?!! Why, why are you caged up?!! Why aren´t you in home with father?!! Please, escape!! Break the glass!! Suddenly, a hand in your shoulder, it´s strong, it makes you stop. “In this place you must be in silence” says an awful scary clown Tears in your opened eyes, agony in your broken mind. Then, you see, without a cry, the end of your mother´s life
The clown doesn´t want to move, It´s impossible to escape. Another relative caged up, another death you have to gaze. One to one, all the people you have loved in your life has their heads cut with a sword, in a bloodshed… you don´t cry. “That´s the circus”, says the clown. “We only want to shock you, right?. Do you like it? It´s amazing! And the show must go on now!” All your family is death now, you have not a place to go. Well, it´s late, and with the moonrise, the evil circus has to close. “Anyone of them was real, all of them are now alive. Because, you know, that´s a circus, all the things you saw were lies!!” And you run. You´re terrified. The circus closes his black gate. Saying goodbye, the clown smiles, and you wonder if you… can enter again.

DECADENCE DOLLS, FACTORY OF HORRORS “While the world changes, revindicating itself every minute like a endless spiral, we go on where we started, in the same point... we are the circus, a fairytale, a dream, the madness, one, like it is called for the long of this centuries” “place of blasphemy, death games, impure acts and corruption. We are just the Horror Circus my friends, differents to the rest, maybe, we are not playing simple games. Just a group of Dolls a little bit tired, but not of our profession.” Naomi Álmagro Cartagena, is well
known by her nickname Mia Wallace, she is an artist that makes her own fantasy universe with dolls and props. She uses normal materials and a lot of patience, all the details are perfectly made very carefully, her dolls have characters, they are differents and with a sweet and malicious touch. She is without any doubt an artist that promises a lot, and we hope that she could continue fascinating us with her creations for a long time (and of course in the next publishings of Horror Vaui Project). We have arrived to the end of our first webzine whose topic has been the Horror Circus, and also this is our first work like a project, and we are waiting that this is not the only one. We want to say thanks to all the people that sent us their works, because without you, this publishing won’t be posible. And to the people that helped us to finish the first steps of this project, which generated a lot of “troubles” to arrive here. Also I want to say sorry, to you, to the artist that show here your work, because we made you wait for more than a year until the publishing of this webzine. We hope to have more cunningand and constancy on our future publishings. Since now we hope you keep being part in our projects, and not just you, all the people that have arribe to us accidentally, for having seen one of our flyers or other kind of advertising, or listening to other people talking about this project.
