elcome back.
What better way to kick-start 2025 than reflecting on the previous quarter and 2024 as a whole. Last year alone, we recognised 36 years of combined service as part of our loyalty award, championed 10 promotions, welcomed 8 new members to the team and commemorated 4 Star of Hope winners. Not forgetting the multitude of award wins we celebrated, including taking prize possession for the Financial Reporter, Rising Star Mortgage Industry Marketing Award and Mortgage Introducer’s Industry Employer of Choice Award, where we beat Nationwide Building Society, Lloyds Banking Group, amongst several other large banks/building societies.
This internal success enabled us to make significant strides in the wider market, supporting our brokers and borrowers with a host of new products, offerings and service enhancements. Looking forward, we anticipate achieving our most successful year to date in 2025, with already a host of exciting launches in the pipeline.
Your unwavering support has been vital to everything we’ve accomplished, enabling us to reach remarkable milestones as a business. Thank you once again and bring on 2025!

What’s one of the key elements brokers and borrowers require when utilising bridging finance? Speed! That’s why this quarter, we’ve been hard at work implementing a brandnew process, now offering our fastest valuation offering to date, with up to 75% LTV available. The added benefit? Valuations are completed instantly at no cost to the borrower.
Our new instant valuation method complements our existing offering including desktop valuations which are delivered within 48 hours with up to 75% LTV available on property values up to £1m and up to 65% LTV on property values up to £2m.
Not forgetting we also provide full valuations, which are typically delivered within 5-7 days for cases which require further investigation and fall outside of our instant valuation and desktop valuation criteria.
Thanks to our team’s market insights and forward-thinking approach, we have taken the initiative to partner with a leading valuation provider, Deskval, which has allowed us to increase our automated valuation offering significantly. This has a multitude of benefits for both ourselves and the borrower as it allows Hope Capital to underwrite, and fund deals extremely quickly and efficiently while also maintaining accurate valuations and mitigating risk.
Although we have only worked with Deskval for a short time, we have already developed an excellent working relationship with the co-owners. This partnership has already proven to offer great value to our brokers and borrowers and will only improve as we explore the service further and gather feedback from our clients.
Over the last few months, we grew our social committee, now referred to as the Hope Collective, which consists of members from each department across the business.
Each member of the Hope Collective has been strategically chosen to ensure that there is appropriate representation of each department’s needs and feelings on what a positive workplace culture for the Hope Capital team looks like.
For us, it’s crucial to promote employee health and create opportunities to help build strong relationships within the team. This group has put lots of care and attention into ensuring we ended the year with some brilliant festive activities and some even better memories.
A big thank you to the committee, including Chris, Emily, Laurel, Nathan, Pauline, Sarah and
Steph – we’re looking seeing what exciting store for 2025!

As much as we love to recognise our team and our achievements internally, it’s always a bonus when we are recognised in the wider lending market. Last quarter was not shy on award wins with our brilliant graphic designer winning the Financial Reporter’s Mortgage Industry Rising Star Award and Hope Capital rightfully crowned industry Employer of Choice at the Mortgage Introducer Awards. This win was particularly meaningful for
commitment to maintaining a positive working environment for all our team, has not gone unnoticed by our industry peers. We know this win will spread across the wider market and reaffirm to our brokers and borrowers that we go to great lengths to ensure that our staff are taken care of so that they can provide the best service to all our clients.
Ultimately, it has been a very successful quarter for Hope Capital and we are so proud to add these awards to our
2024 cabinet, which includes but is not limited to winning:
• Mortgage Introducer’s Top Mortgage Employer Award
• Two Mortgage Introducer Elite Women Awards
• Bridging Finance Solutions CFO of the Year (UK) in the 2024
• Global CFO Excellence Awards
Ben Murphy – “Always pull through and make exceptions where necessary, we completed an urgent deal within 5 days, would have been sooner if it wasn’t for sols, couldn’t recommended them enough.”
Afsheen Gul – “A lender that goes above and beyond to help its brokers and clients get their deals over the line. Committed approachable and available. Good LTVs, rates and flexibility. A lender who works with you and not against you. Thank you Hope as always.”
2024 was once again another fantastic year for Hope Capital. Owing to a host of new products, offerings and enhancements we’ve made to our service, we proudly supported the largest number of brokers and borrowers to date.
Last quarter alone, we have worked with various brokers and borrowers to successfully get their deals across the line, no matter how challenging or complex. The reviews we receive play a vital part in Hope Capital’s success, ensuring
we meet the mark and better understand broker and borrower expectations. A huge thank you to those who have taken the time to leave us a review, not just this quarter but all year round. Here are just a few of our favourites:
Chris Johnson – “Another great job done by Hope Capital for a client with an urgent funding requirement. Special thanks to Ryan who managed the transaction quickly and efficiently as usual.”
Marcus Emadi – “Terrific company to work with. Well organised and communicated every step of the way. Wholeheartedly recommend Hope Capital.”
At Hope Capital, we’re committed to constantly reviewing the market to ensure what we offer hits the mark. Throughout the past year we have launched a host of new products and Q4 was no exception.
One way we have supported our brokers and borrowers is through the launch of our clean credit offering, creating a unique

Our finish & exit loan helps save two luxury residential developments with tight deadlines
What a deal to get across the line this quarter! Speed, expertise and a tailored product were crucial on one of our latest residential finish & exit projects.
In short, our borrower was close to defaulting with their current lender and was therefore against the clock to find a solution to complete two state-of-the-art development projects. Thanks to our finish & exit offering, we stepped in to provide the £1m+ loan needed, meaning they could repay their existing lender and subsequently, wouldn’t lose out on a lucrative investment opportunity.
This couldn’t have been achieved without the hard work from our team and collaboration between multiple parties, including Foy Mach from Acorn Finance and JMW Solicitors LLP.
Well done on delivering another fantastic outcome, to one of our brilliant BDE’s, Ben and Senior Underwriter’s, Ryan!

One of our latest deals was definitely made for our favourite Scotsman, David. The property? Located in the BRIDGE OF WEIR located on HOPE Avenue in SCOTLAND! You couldn’t make it up!
Anyway, what was involved? A £300k commercial loan at 60% LTV was provided to help our client capital raise to complete the necessary works required, as well as fund an onward purchase of another residential property.
Well done David and one of our brilliant underwriters, Cheryl, on another great outcome for one of our clients. Special thanks to the broker, Gerry Lafferty, and the solicitor, Heather Fraser from Wilson McKendrick, involved on the case. Great working with you!

We grew our team once again with our latest starters
Growing our team for success is what we’re all about and this quarter was no exception.
Throughout the year we have welcomed several new faces across every department, who have
made a tremendous impact on the business. Over the last couple of months, we were delighted to welcome three new starters to the business, including Becca who has joined our newly created
Business Support team, Nathan, who has joined our Marketing team and Sasha who has joined our Underwriting team. Welcome to Hope!
We are always committed to championing progression within the business, retaining our talented team, and leveraging their skills and experience to drive our continued growth and success. This quarter has exemplified this commitment with four key promotions.
The first significant promotion came with the formation of the newly created, Business Support department, which is led by Charlotte Holt, who was recently promoted to Operations and Finance Manager. In this new role, Charlotte will utilise the skills she has developed in the finance and underwriting teams,
supporting and advancing each department across the business, so we are positioned to deliver an outstanding service to brokers and their clients. Congratulations, Charlotte!
In other news, a restructure of our Sales team resulted in two major promotions for David Weir and Sam Lea this quarter who have progressed from Business Development Managers to National Account Managers. In their new roles, they are tasked with strengthening Hope Capital’s relationships with brokers and networks nationwide, showcasing the fantastic range of tailored products and offerings we have created.
David will manage accounts in Scotland, North of England, and London, while Sam will oversee the Midlands, South Wales, and South of England. Since their promotions, both have demonstrated their value by building on existing broker relationships and establishing new, lucrative connections.
Well done both on these much-deserved promotions!
The final promotion this quarter saw Stacey Bradwell advance from Underwriting Coordinator to Underwriter. In her short time in the role, Stacey has shown why our focus on promoting internally is so critical to our success, delivering exceptional service on several cases with many more to come.
These promotions highlight the importance we place on recognising talent within our team and investing in their professional development and potential as we continue to grow.
This year has been filled with celebrating our longest serving employees. From Laura Carr and Pauline O’Gorman who reached their 10-year milestone, to Jemma Wood and Kate Cowan who celebrated their remarkable 5-year anniversaries at Hope Capital, not forgetting Andrew Bate who marked his 3-year anniversary. However, the celebrations didn’t stop there, this quarter we had another special anniversary to celebrate. Our brilliant Operations and Finance Manager, Charlotte Holt, was not only promoted this quarter, but has also celebrated 3 wonderful years at Hope Capital.
Since joining the business, Charlotte has transformed our operations, playing a crucial role in enhancing productivity and strategically improving day-today processes. We would be lost without Charlotte, and we are so proud to celebrate all her achievements this year. Thank you for everything you do for us.
As The King’s Trust embarks on a new chapter with its recent new brand reveal, we want to shine a spotlight on the incredible work our Chairman, Steve Sealey, does. As a Regional Committee Member for The King’s Trust, Steve is a passionate and committed advocate and fundraiser, sitting on both the North West Development Committee and its Liverpool Sub-Committee. Steve plays an integral role in raising
funds and awareness to help The King’s Trust expand their support for disadvantaged young people across the region.
Steve proudly represented Hope Capital at the Diamond Ball in St George’s Hall, Liverpool at the beginning of December, where over 350 guests gathered to kick-start the holiday season, raising a fantastic £42,000 for this brilliant charity.
The evening included great entertainment featuring a superb performance from Jason Donovan. We are extremely proud to support such a fantastic charity which makes a difference and helps provide help for disadvantaged young people of the Liverpool city region.
Once again, we had another great evening supporting the Sunshine Group at their annual ball.
We were honoured to support the amazing work they do by helping raise over £5,000 to help continue their excellent work. Huge thanks to everyone involved, especially Ann Coffey, who runs the most amazing breast cancer charity.
We’re looking forward to another year of supporting this brilliant cause and helping to spread awareness of the amazing work they do.
Steve Sealey, Pauline O’Gorman, Stacey Bradwell Jonathan Sealey, Nathan Campbell, Chris Grierson
In line with this, the achievements didn’t stop there! We would like to say a huge congratulations to Ann and the amazing volunteers at the Sunshine Group who have joined the 281 organisations throughout the UK being awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of their outstanding community service.
The King’s Award for Voluntary Services is a lifetime achievement award and is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE.
It has been an absolute honour and privilege to witness the hard work and dedication that goes into the invaluable work the group do to
support women who are going through breast cancer from diagnosis, before, during and after treatment. Ann truly is an unsung hero and works tirelessly to support the group.
