



The KMSB Youth International Gryphon Cup returns from Thursday 20 November to Sunday 23 November, igniting Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University and the UWA Superturfs with four days of fast-paced, international junior hockey This growing showcase gives young athletes an unforgettable chance to compete on a global stage and experience the thrill of high-level competition.
As a flagship event of Hockey WA’s Asian Engagement Program, the Cup brings together under-16 boys and girls teams for a celebration of hockey at its best, coinciding with a unique opportunity for different cultures to connect through sport. Widely recognised as Australia’s and Asia’s premier youth hockey event, it offers a unique pathway for rising stars to test themselves, develop their game and build friendships with players from across the region.
The 2025 tournament is shaping up to be the biggest and most exciting edition yet. Korea will compete for the very first time, joining an already electric lineup that includes the Adelaide Fire Starters in their debut appearance With new nations, new talent and growing interest from across Asia and Australia, the event continues to expand in scale, energy and international prestige
Over the years, the Cup has welcomed national, state and academy representative teams from across Australia, as well as strong international contenders from Japan, Singapore, Malaysia - and now Korea - cementing its reputation as a truly global youth competition.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Matches will consist of four 10-minute quarters, with two-minute breaks at quarter time & three-quarter time, as well as a five-minute break for half time
Each team will play six (6) pool matches with results counting towards the Semi Final & Cross Over match rankings.
Semi Final matches will be contested by the top two teams from each pool, while Cross Over matches will feature the remaining teams
The results of the Semi Finals will determine the teams in the Medal Matches, while the results of the Cross Over Matches will determine the Play-Off match-ups
If Semi Finals & Cross Over Matches end in a draw, a shootout will take place to determine a winner. If PlayOff Matches end in a draw, the Teams will share the final ranking
