PERTH THUNDERSTICKS TEAM SELECTION: ROUND 4 V HC MELBOURNE
WOMEN’S MATCH

As the Perth Thundersticks Women’s team continues their pursuit of a breakthrough win in the 2025 ONE Active Hockey One season, three strategic changes have been made to the squad ahead of their second home fixture.
The Thundersticks are set to face Hockey Club Melbourne in a high-stakes showdown at Perth Hockey Stadium on Sunday 2 November – a must-win match for both sides as they aim to keep their campaigns alive.
Former Hockeyroo Georgia Wilson makes her long-awaited return to the lineup, marking her first appearance of the season after recovering from injury.
Wilson brings valuable experience and midfield depth, having delivered a strong campaign with Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club, where she played 21 matches and netted four goals.
She also famously scored the match-winner in the Thundersticks’ 2024 Grand Final triumph.
Joining her in the squad are co-captain Penny Squibb and rising star Caitlyn Templeman, both returning to reinforce the defensive unit.
Squibb missed the recent trip to Adelaide due to unavailability, while Templeman was sidelined due to injury.
The trio will replace Saysha Pillay, Bellé Ramshaw and Britney DeSilva, who have been omitted from this week’s selection.
The last time the Thundersticks met HC Melbourne, they secured a dominant 6-2 victory on the road.
With both teams still chasing their first win of the season, Sunday’s clash promises to be a fiercely contested battle with finals implications on the line.
