The incredible talent of regional hockey players from across Western Australia willtakecentrestageastheCBHGroupCountryChampionshipsreturnin2025.

Overtwoaction-packedweekends,teamsfromtheGreatSoutherninthesouth tothePilbarainthenorthwilldescendonPerth,allcompetingforthecoveted titleofregionalchampionsinoneofWA’spremierhockeyevents.

HeldacrossPerthHockeyStadiumandFletcherPark,theChampionshipsarea true celebration of regional hockey, showcasing the skill, passion, and communityspiritthatdefinethesportinWA’svastcountryareas.

This year’s event will feature a total of 73 teams, with hundreds of players, coaches, officials, and supporters expected to take part in this long-standing tradition

The Championships also serve as a key selection event for athletes hoping to represent WA at the 2025 Hockey Australia Country Championships, in Rockhampton,QLDthisAugust.

The CBH Group Country Championships kicks off with the Women’s competition from Friday 13 June to Sunday 15 June, followed by the Men’s competitionfromFriday20JunetoSunday22June.

Ahead of the Women’s matches, regional coaches and umpires will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills at an Umpire Briefing and a Regional Coach DevelopmentWorkshoponThursday12June.

For the first time ever, all matches at Perth Hockey Stadium will be streamed LIVEviaLiveHockeyWA,thankstoSportway

Fans can catch every moment by purchasing a Tournament for just $11 (GST inclusive). Separate passes are required for the Women’s and Men’s tournaments.

MEN’STOURNAMENTPREVIEW

Atotalof30teamsrepresentingWA’sregionswillcompeteforbraggingrights intheMen’sCountryChampionshiptournamentfromFriday20JunetoSunday 22June.

The tournament will feature three Open divisions and two Masters divisions, with Division 3 set to be split into two pools during the tournament’s Round Robinstage

MatcheswillbeplayedacrossbothturfsatPerthHockeyStadium.

Bunbury&DistrictsHockeyAssociationwillbelookingtoachievetheimpossible astheylooktogofortheirfourthconsecutiveCountryChampionshipDivision1 title.

TheywillbejoinedbyUGSHA,Geraldton,andEGHAinthetopdivision

Division 2 will feature five teams this year with Geraldton joining the returning EDHA,RDHA,LGSHAandUGSHA

Division 3 will feature a total of 10 teams, with Avon, Esperance, EGHA, Margaret River Hockey Association and RDHA competing in Pool A, while defending championsKarrathawilljoinCGSHA,EDHA,MilingandUGSHAinPoolB

The Masters competition has expanded into two divisions this year, six teams competinginDivision1andfiveteamscompetinginDivision2

MastersDivision1willfeature2024championsUGSHA,aswellasBunbury,EGHA, Esperance, Geraldton and LGSHA, while Busselton, CGSHA, EDHA, EGHA and the WACountryMasterswillcompeteinDivision2.
