life

At Hoburne, we have been working super hard to bring you our brand-new summer issue of our owner’s magazine. This bumper summer issue is packed filled with park updates and news, a summer recipe, plus our recommendation for summer events in the local area to enjoy over the next few months.
We love this time of year as we build up to the peak season. The park looks beautiful, thanks to our hard-working team, we have lots of owners and holidaymakers with us, and it’s fantastic seeing so many of you around the park or enjoying your holiday homes with family.
Sit back with a nice, chilled drink and enjoy our latest owner’s magazine and remember, if you have a photo or story you want to see in the magazine, drop us an email!
Hopefully you have all had the opportunity to experience our new menu. It has become increasingly important that we source our food products responsibly, using as much local fresh produce as possible and stepping away from using processed / manufactured foods.
We wanted to create an eclectic style menu with plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, and the more health conscious. Every four months, the menu will change to reflect the seasons and to make the best use of local seasonal produce.
Please watch your speed on the park and always adhere to the limit. In these summer months, the park will begin to get busy, and the safety of all pedestrians is paramount.
As we head into the peak season, we would like to kindly remind owners who privately let that leisure passes are mandatory and so please ensure to provide your guests with this information. Guest registration forms will be required for each booking with a minimum notice of 48 hours.

We have welcomed two new team members on grounds. Jake Eldridge and Nigel Babb. Jake formerly worked in leisure and has changed departments. Nigel is a very creative, talented artist and draws in his spare time.
After finalising a deal with world-renowned company Bandai Namco, we are thrilled to announce that we have successfully upgraded several arcade machines in the complex. With updated games and more interactive fun, there is plenty to enjoy with family and friends.
Our functions coordinator, Karen Molloy, celebrated her 20th work anniversary at the start of June. Karen joined the company on June 9th, 2003, as an admin clarke and has furthered her career within Hoburne throughout the years. Karen’s favourite pass time is spending quality family time with her wonderful grandchildren, Molly, Maisy, and Jonny.
Our outdoor pool is now open for the summer season, please ensure you’re aware of the pool opening times.
With the help of Mrs. Noble, a holiday homeowner in Highcliffe Meadow, we held the first meeting of Naish Knitters in March. The new knitting club will be for owners and residents and will be run in the club approximately every four weeks. Members will be knitting clothes for premature babies, as well as bringing their own knitting patterns to swap tips and ideas. If you’re interested in joining Naish Knitters, please ask the reception team for the date of the next meeting.
Over the bank holiday weekend, the ownership team organised a fundraising event for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Owners and holidaymakers had the opportunity to experience the charity’s brand-new flight simulator, raising £531 from donations.
We had three very special visitors plant new trees on the park. The family owners of Hoburne, Rosie, John, and his daughter Emily assisted the grounds team by planting three new trees as part of the park’s commitment to the Queen’s Green Canopy, a unique tree planting initiative that was initially created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
Calling all young adventurers and budding Robin Hoods, the leisure team has some new activity offerings starting this year. We are excited for you to join us in our new Junior Archery and Nerf Challenge. Age restrictions apply, book at Reception to secure your spot.
We have introduced glass bins to our bin bays across the park. Please ensure you are disposing of glass bottles in the singular bins only and not the recycling bins.
You will see our new maintenance vehicles on the park soon, and to help with our green footprint, these vehicles will be electric. We have already swapped our fuel golf buggies to electric ones and these are all programmed with a 10mph speed limit.
Our main car park will be busy throughout the summer months. We encourage all owners to the leisure facilities and clubhouse by foot and leave your cars at your holiday homes where possible. If you are using the disabled bays, please have your badges visible in your vehicles.
Following a recent incident, we would like to remind all owners that in accordance with Park Rules, only electric scooters used to support a disability are permitted on the Park. Electric scooters used for any other purpose are not permitted on the holiday park. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
We would like to remind owners and their guests that all dogs on the park should always be under their owners’ control and on a lead.
You may have seen engineers on the park recently, where we have been conducting drainage surveys. As a polite reminder, only biodegradable items are to be disposed of down the toilet. We have had increasing reports of blockages subsequently caused by materials that should not be flushed, i.e., wet wipes and sanatory products.
We are working to adapt some of our entrance beds around the park and introduce additional lighting. Keep your eyes peeled to see the colourful changes we make.
Hopefully, you have all had the chance to experience and enjoy the park’s new refurbishment. We worked extremely hard over the winter to turn around our central facilities, and we appreciate your understanding and patience while we carried out the work, but we feel it was worth the wait!
We refreshed the reception area, created a new soft play space for families, and redesigned the park’s restaurant and bar, relaunching under a new name, The Coast House, in a nod to the park’s remarkable history.
Working closely with a team of interior designers, we wanted to create a warm, welcoming reception with a comfortable seating area, using a colour palette of velvety, rich forest greens mixed with deep sea blues and highlights of sunshine yellow to complement the park’s scenic surroundings. Timber-clad walls, influenced by the coastal beach huts, have been paired with pebble wall art and an eclectic group of straw beach hats to add some holiday fun.
Leading on from the reception, the restaurant and bar areas have been united by interlinking the spaces, creating an ‘outdoor in’ feel with leafy botanical wallpapers and soft furnishings. Brightly patterned printed cushions bring together florals, deck chair stripes, and coral prints to add a vibrant splash of colour.
The renovation is part of our ongoing commitment to reinvesting in the park and we are proud of our new offering. The Coast House has been incredibly popular, and we have received fantastic feedback. It’s a space where holidaymakers and owners can unwind and relax and enjoy our new food and entertainment offering.
